[Q] Att SBF - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What is the most current and up-to-date ATT SBF to load. 1.83? I am on 1.57 and want to upgrade to the most current of GreyBlur. Do I have to really re-root my phone and stuff do I? Thanks again.

I'm going to sit this one out and watch from the sidelines! Heh

I would flash back to the 1.26 sbf. Then I would figure out what to do next.

Maybe next I would update through the standard ota process. Then I would use gingerbreak and gladenable.
I wonder if there's a place to find directions for all of this...

(Q) ready to root buut...

I'm getting ready to root but my policy is always wait until you have the sbf or ruu before doing it. Cause you never know ,you might miss something and brick your phone. Sooo I've looked around and I'm not sure if the ruu is release for the tbolt? Thx alot

Should I update to 1.5.7?

Iam on stock 1.2.6 on att. Iam just wondering if I should even do the OTA update to 1.5.7. Because from.what I hear you will always have to go back to stock.1.2.6. If you want to root later before.you do any of the future OTA updates.

No. It just means the device is not encrypted/locked.
Remember, the Atrix bootloader is only signed, not encrypted or locked.

Then what does SE stand for?
I have SE also.
Sent from my rooted and frozen Motorola Olympus.
Me too, SE
Are any of you SE guys on the .83 update? Maybe they goofed with the bootloader in the update.

What is this update?

my girlfriend's phone just told her that there is an update available she has the latest software and hboot 1.5. The update is 9.3 mb. Does anyone know what this is? I downloaded it on her 3D, she is not unlocked or rooted. I rooted my 3D via 1.5 S-on HTC method. Is there a way to take it apart and analyze it. Heard rumors of random ota that revert hboot.

She still on 2.08 ? Why not update to 2.17 ? Then take root? The latest ota is 2.17 which updates a bit of stuff and removes the CIQ thingy....
Is there anything possibly in this that will help get s off? It is update. Maybe some clues. Can I upload the file via the XDA app?

I doubt it the guy that said he had a update of the such wasn't true...
His phone was a previously owned device that had S-off already the store sold him one that was returned in that 14day period...
So it was already rooted prior to him buying it.. With S-off lets you do some more playin around... The person that owned it before him had rooted it with the REV method on root... So that was how he been boucing back and forth on the hboot thing...
.... a guy can hope

From what I read newer radios offer better reception all the other stuff. I prefer to stay on the latest updates that come out. Really can't break a radio down in difference. Newer generally better .

There is other ways to update.. I prefer to wipe not the SD. Then RELOCK and use the lateset RUU 2.17 CDMA exe then redo the unlock code and flash a recovery then
fastboot boot recovery.img and wipe and flash rom

From what i heard , you dont need to relock or unroot then re-unlock, then re-root. You can just flash stock recovery and take the update, if bootloader gets locked then unlock it again.
I might be wrong but thats what i have heard.....i mean read.

Try running QPST... i think there is an option to select radio band...

Is there a 2.3.5 sbf I can flash? I know 2.3.5 is a pain and I do not want to brick it more than it already is. Thinks for the tip on QPST I will take a look at it when I get home.
Sent from my XT897 using xda app-developers app
I did that once and had to sbf back to stock 198_7. I am not sure since you are on 2.3.5. Have you tried a factory restore from the bootloader menu?
