Hello guys , Today , I decided to root my x10 , and install 2.2 ROMs. Well , as I saw the best one was flashtool. I downloaded it , extract it in a folder and then I went to open the program: X10FlashTool.exe. It won't start!!! I am trying this on Windows 7 32bit but it isn't running at all!
I tried to find solution from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1023461 but it still doesn't work.
Any help?

Did you reinstalled Java?
Try uninstall / install.

Yes , i am running it as admin. Downloaded it 3 times.
It's very strange, because I've been using in win7 32, no problem at all.
Try to set compability mode to winxp sp3...

I'll try it from my bro's pc and I 'll tell you. Also , i tried super one click , i rooted successfuly installed busybox successfuly , and when i am trying to install xRecovery from it's installer it says me that Sh file is missing or something like that. :S

Hi guys i accidently deleted the Busybox from system files abd wonder how to install it back? + my root isnt working i cant root or unroot whit z4 which I could do and also my wifi is not working like it attempt to get the ip adress but fails and say connection unsucessfull touch to retry please help i dont wanna have to reset to factory data cuz i got dual touch and it took me forever to install it ;(

Use flashtool to install busybox.
Have you upgraded to .435?
You should use Super One Click to root and install Busybox from market, Titanium Backup and Xrecovery.

ok so the problem now i got is that my phone is not 100% rooted but like the root is broken i cant make it root! but when i used the flashtool it said installed xrecovery everything went well samething for busybox but i still dont got root access? will i have to reset my whole device?
Use SEUS to repair your device, then use flashtool for installing busybox and xrecovery.
shouldnt i just do factory data reset?
i tried seus and didnt work!! it get stuck at the part where i gotta plug it into flash mode rawr heelp!! i tried once and it said no software available for your phone
I am unable to download app from the market. It only shows starting download and then nothing happens. I have also tried after rebooting but its the same. Please help..

Try reinstalling market.apk or install neon market.

Reinstall all the system with factory reset via SEUS because I was in trouble like you with no possibility to install applications from the market...
But I saw something strange on my phone : google talk wouldn't launch since I update my phone with SEUS...
So the last update with SEUS was bad (however I did it with full wipe), shame on Sony Ericsson for doing so badly them job !

Have you tried guys to clear the cache and data of GoogleFramework, instead the Market one?
Hi. I had the same problem after i delete one of the googletalk apps.dont know which one it was. Reflashing via seus solved my problem.it seems that ur prob has sth to be with the talk provider or app. Sth like that.

Thanks a lot man..i also deleted the google talk somedays ago..but when I delete any app then I create backup of that..so I was having googletalk.apk and so I installed it again and now I am able to download market app.thanks buddy..

As the topic, I want to ask is odin safe for window7. I heard that there are many bugs(odin,kies,driver). I used to use window xp to flash rom. Did someone use it or have problem with it?thx

My PC with Windows 7 has the Kies installed and Odin 4.38, works without problems.
i've been using it on windows 7 as long as i can remember.

I use Win 7 Home x64 and Win 7 Enterprise x64 and x86, works fine in all systems

I use odin in my win7 home edition.
but my KIES has some problem. I never used KIES for the last 6 months.
I'm on MM CM 7.2 & have been unsuccessful in installing certain apps
Can knockdown 2, Cross court tennis, etc to name a few
Basically heavy games are not being installed
I'm confused with this issue
But another problem
Certain games like temple run & fruit ninja are getting installed however they cannot be moved to sd card
I've reported this issue multiple times to the developer but did not get any reply
Can anyone help me plz

Try to install them with adb, I am using it every time if something cant be installed. Adb will show you why.
Syntax:
adb install /path/to/application.apk
(it will return error why it cant be installed or return simply Success)

Yes you're correct
I already have the drivers
But
This adb thing is going over my head
So
Installed apps through flashtool
But they're not moving to sd card
Adb is out of league
I'm not a dev just a plain user

I tried installing the drivers that came with flashtool and it worked but only when using flashtool. So if I want to unlock the bootloader, which I am currently trying to do, I have to go to the folder which contains the drivers. Where's that? If not I'll be limited to stock kernels and certain roms. Help will be appreciated thanks

Argh Idk whats going on. When I tried going into fastboot mode it still tells me that the drivers are not installed. Thinking back, when I was flashing the stock Sony kernel for rooting using flashtool Im not actually sure it got into fast boot. I just plugged it in and it started flashing. So I dunno. I've already disabled driver enforcement as suggested in the other thread but I still can't seem to install. When I go into device manager and tried updating drivers, pointing it to the location with the USB drivers it told me it couldn't find any suitable drivers >< Please help thanks!

How do you do that? BTW I'm firedroid CM9 now for locked BLs. I tried installing drivers when I was running both stock and CM9

Look for USB connection type somewhere in settings.
Maybe under storage setting.
