what is the difference between the Optimus One, P500, V General and P500H
are you using the LG PC Suite? if so you can try and see if the PC Suite allows you to update. Otherwise, if you're not sure you should ask LG directly.

dont try updating from phn using pc suite orelse u may land ur phn to get f*ck up as many users got their phn bricked doing it

wow i wish i read this post earlier.
I tried installing gingerbread on my lgp500h phone and at 4% of installation my phone became locked in the yellow screen.
the next day i did a hard reset with menu volume and home then tried the gingerbread again. it worked. i didn't know i was taking such a risk updating on the manufacture's website.

trying to update my optimus one 503 through the LG pc suite , i just got the damn thing 2 weeks ago by the way from duabi , it went into emergency mode while connected , tried to switch it on after i got no response fomr it , all i get is the lg logo on a black bg , and stays that way till i disconnect the battery , now i'm in egypt and LG support center here never even heard of android phones , so any help guy ,
is it possible to install the p500 firmware onto my p503 or will there be implications
- anyone know how i can optain the LG firmware for LGp503

Take a look on getting firmware with help of serial number (bottom of main post), than you get firmware, which is 100% compatible (it should be because it comes from manufacturer). NOTE: When I check it last time, it doesn't work for me, so please report if it works or not.
Than you turn your phone into recovery and continue with steps mentioned in how-to which janez87 already mentioned.
Recovered Bricked P503
I bricked my Chinese P503 by attempting to install P500 Euro onto it.
Using the process from the suggested thread above I put back the out of box Chinese P503 and its alive again ... all be it in Chinese.
don't worry p500 is compatible with p503. mine was bricked too trying to upgrade thru lg update.
i just dowload an original p500 firmware and update my p503 using the steps posted in this forum.

I have the same phone. VS700 is another number which may help in determining root method. It's what the LG software for PC recognizes my phone as when connected through USB. It has an ERROR trying to read the SW Version though. Help!

I have the LG L45C and I cant seem to find a way to root it. This phone is several years old its running Android 2.3.4. Can somebody give me some solid instructions for rooting it?
I've recently been searching for a root for the LG Optimus L7 p705g v10e for a friend of mine and learned that there is no root available for this software version (v10e). I am unable to update his software version in order to root.
Does anyone know a way to change this software version so that I will be able to root this phone?

I am sanju few days back i ge replaced my lg g2 screen , i don't whether it's authentic screen or not because i get replaced it from local store instead of lg store , ok but now the problem is whenever i tried to upgrade my lg g2 to lollipop it doesn't upgrade to it , i have not received any OTA update so i am trying to upgrade it from the lg PC suite but whenever i tried to upgrade i got the following as shown in below attachments (sorry my bad english).
It will be really appreciated if some one help me , i have also done factory reset from my phone.

Put your imei no. in this page and check for latest firmware available,
It will show msg like, "Download firmware, version V30 or V20"
if its showing V30 then its lollipop, download it (1.65gb approx) and use LG flash tool to flash it

You can simply update your V10 via LG Bridge software. Just download and install LG Bridge into your pc and connect the phone via USB cable. It'll detect your V10 and then you can easily update your phone from there. Also it is advised to create a full backup before performing system update! :good:
