I would say not bad at all I get 3005 with cpu stock standard speeds
what did you modify exactly?
I get 3100-3500 with stock rom ke7, so I think it's usual.

Agreed here
Am getting 3230 to 3300 all the time.
Stock KE7 - Only thing done is rooting.
Bit of a useless tool in my opinion
Tells the user nothing at all.

I only did the deodex and zipalign for each .odex and .apk file
i.e. file by file "manually" by baksmali and smali then i removed the application that i do not use "some apk files"
Thanks again
Tried to post my quadrant picture, but cant figure out how to do it. oh well, i copied the url link but not working
I got 3506 on KE7. The SGS2 could be better, but in the 3D benchmark section of quadrant, you can clearly see that the SGS2 is hitting the 60fps soft limit. As a result, the 3D score is artificially low.

I think theese scores are very Rom specific. At the moment i get 3300, but i also got 4500 with other Roms and kernels
Quadrant is a little outdated.....last update was like a year a go.

Pls help me. I oc my sga with ketut kernel and frill on . How to I see or confirm it??

If the settings are available it means you have it.
If you need to confirm try CPUspy app from market.
Settings-CyanogenMod Settings-Performance-CPU Settings-Max Frequency
There you will find the settings for OC'ing your CPU. I suggest not clicking the "Set on Boot" option until you have found a value that works for you, as the phone will shut off if you pick one that is too high. You don't want it booting into an unstable value or you'll have a lot of trouble changing it back!
Good luck, and don't cook your phone
Listen to @SGA's advice... It makes sense, believe...
Let's not forget the OC Benchmark apps available for free in the market...
Stay Breezy n Be Lucky...
Peace...

You need to flash ketut's OC kernel then. You can find it in the development section. Be sure to read the various threads on Overclocking before attempting it. All the best!
many thanks
Hi ,
I have tried to install the oc kernel but get the message cannot install ... from sd card - I remember this from something previously , can anyone help ,

Are you using cwm4/5? Just install the zip from recovery. Let me know the error you get.

im looking to download cm7 on my dad's optimus one cause official gingerbread is just too slow. does cm7 come with any speed increases, or is it just for the features? all he uses the phone for is call and text, so all i need is a SPEEDY and stable rom (something that I won't have to update ever again).
or is cm9/any other rom stable enough, and does it slow down the phone at all?
thanks
(this is for the canadian (koodo) version of the optimus one, but i'm guessing they're all the same right?)
If you want speed and stability, go with the gingerbread oxygen. It's much faster than cm7, and it's pretty much stable. If you want features though, you'd have to go with cm7
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda app-developers app
oxygen is the fastest, most stable and the best battery life you ll get on your phone!
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda app-developers app
stock froyo is the fastest rom ever!
If you don't use that phone, don't mess with it.
Stock is always more stable and if he only uses the phone for calls and txt, don't mess it up for him because problems can appear on off the market OS's like wakelocks or reboots and I'm guessing dad won't be to happy about that

I have looked everywhere for an answer but have found nothing. I can use my phone just fine until it completely freezes. I am left with no option but to take the battery out and restart and come back to a low battery that went from roughly 80% to 10%. I have no clue what to do. I'm not sure if i need to wipe and format. Can anyone give me some advice? If it's a case of having to wipe, can I have details on how to do this without losing information?
Thanks

I can't see the picture (don't know if it's just me), but on what rom/kernel are you? And do you UC/UV?

i think you have the original firmware, try to install the newest firmware LSJ you can get this at sammobile.com or you can choose a custom rom which you can find here

Yeah, you're on an official rom, and since you don't know what it means, I assume you don't underclock (UC) and/or undervolt (UV)
Ever considered rooting and flashing a custom rom? Or, like stated above me, flash some other official firmware through Odin to see if the problems still excist (except someone else has another sollution).

Not much different from the versions in other areas
A little bit of style and a special software
I think a little smoother
Of course this is my opinion
what is the special Software?
Thanks, i'm going to try it, i'll report here if it is smoother than the generic world firmware.

It's the same thing. There's few extra softwares but nothing intersting.
PS: It's O2 UK branded.
