Nobody have an idea ?
Hello,
I purchased the ViewPad 10 dual boot quite some time ago, and have come to the point where it is pointless to have Windows 7 on a tablet with only 16 GB HDD.
As a result, I have been interested in installing Android on this tablet, replacing the existing Windows install.
I know how to install Android, as I have previously upgraded the 1.6 version to 2.2. However, given 2.2 is the latest official version released by ViewSonic, I am stuck.
Can anyone link me to the latest compatible version of Android that works on the ViewSonic? I have researched and read that there is an Android 3.2 release for a 'Vega2' that may work with the ViewSonic 10, though I am not 100% sure about this.
Also, will all Android apps work on the x86 architecture? If they don't work via Android Market, is there another way to get them working?
Hopefully someone can help me out here.
Can anyone help me out.....?
I also have a Viewpad 10Pi
I also have a Viewpad 10Pi and I am wondering if there is anyway to root it? Thanks Tom
VegaCream RC2 on Avent Vega and USB keyboards?
Dear 'all',
I am an avid computer enthusiast, but a novice to android.
Recently purchased 10.1 Advent Vega Tabliet PC which had the original Android HARMONY 2.2 FRF91 20110211.101539 OS.
Tried 'HoneyIceRC3Chimera Android 3' which was great and I could connect and use a USB external keyboard, which is great as
I can 'touch type.' I found the 'HoneyIceRC3Chimera' not totaly stable over a long period of time and then installed the VegaCream RC2
Android version 4.0.4 which is brilliant and I have found this OS totally stable! unfortunately I don't see that I can connect a USB external keyboardwith this OS. I am an Android novice who is a quick learner. Could somejone please advise or direct me to the the most stable
Android for myVega which utilises the latest Android version it can and can also connect to a USB keyboard. Tall order, but you guys
are the experts compared to me! (at present!)
Patience and advice appreciated!

Hi there,
I followed a guide off the net to upgrade to the latest version of Android on my Huawei EVA-L09. 'Upgrade' done, I'm now on Android 5.1 and EMUI 3.1... so I'm pretty sure I haven't upgraded at all. I cannot get the phone connected back to my PC (W10) probably some sort of driver issue (worked before the upgrade though!)
Any advise on what to do? I've just bought a Galaxy S8, so just want this on the latest version of Android to use it for a few days then sell it..
Many thanks
A quick note, I'm currently on model number A168-L09 and Build number: EMUI-A168-L09C432B040SP11. All I want is the latest version of Android and not a beta version, just want the phone being sold. The build numbers make absolute no sense to me, very difficult to understand!
Any help is appreciated.
]The Nebula Mars, which is made by an offshoot of Anker, comes with a custom OS running on Android 4.4. For the unfamiliar, it offers a decent projector in a small size, combined with a battery for portability.
Since this isn't a phone running a typical phone ROM, I'm hesitant to root it and start tinkering, but the stock OS and software is absolute crap. The system allows updates and installation of APKs, but the company says they have no intention of issuing a firmware/ROM update.
Any advice on where to find others who have this device and are also interested in modifying the OS or updating to a newer version of Android? Any recommendations on approaches to non-destructively modifying the OS? I don't think it has a separate partition for restoring prior ROMs, and I'm just inexperienced enough that I'd end up bricking it.
Same question about the Nebula Mars Lite model
So I webd to Walmart and found that they sell the lite model for $349. The problem is that there is no android at all. I am not sure if the hardware is any different because both models look identical. I wonder if there is a way to either install the original mars OS on it or something better ie costom rom of some kind.
Hey ! I'm also interesting in upgrading the OS of my nebula Mars... Any news for this project? Thanks !

just grabbed the Lite version ($180 at my walmart) and it looks like it is running android (lollipop it looks like, PC shows "lollipop" when connected to the wifi settings page) but it's locked away behind it's launcher...
that's all I was able to figure out.
Nebula Mars 2 is on the market with Android 7.1. Anyone trying to port it to Mars 1 please?
