I have LG P705 (optimus L7) phone, I installed LG pc suite on my computer to update the phone from 4.0.3 to latest firmware (JellyBean). Well the process runs and says your current version is V10C and new version V20B is available, but the process ends in error saying something like error while analyzing the upgrade environment.
can anybody help me with this??

Ok here's what you need to do:
Download KDZ (http://www.android-hilfe.de/attachm...sionen-ohne-datenverlust-kdz_fw_upd_en-1-.zip)
Obtain your firmware: (http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=13)
Install drivers for LG pc suite, I will assume you will know how. (Connect your phone to computer and select PC software or something, and then it will check for drivers and install them.)
Enable usb debugging, should be in developer settings or in security.
On the folder you DL'ed open windows enabler, and go to your bottom right icons (where internet and clock is) and double click on the windows enabler thing.
Run KDZ_FWD_UPD.exe
Select 3GQCT in phone type, and DIAG as mode.
Choose the .KDZ you downloaded, click start flashing. Don't worry if it doesn't respond. This is normal. The phone will say emergency mode.
Wait.....
Wait longer....
If it comes up with an error, you F*** up the download, try again.
PROFIT!
No it won't delete your stuff, but be sure to back up vital info.

Thank you AsianFoodRules for your reply and providing me step by step guide, On the firmware version page i see firmware for each country, which i need to download, im in US, and currently my unlocked phone is on At&t carrier. I do not see US on the page. Also i want to know if these are JB firmware?
One last thing, can you confirm the newer version makes the phone faster then the ICS version i currently have running on phone.
Any V20(a,b,c,d) firmware is JB. Use europe or one you think will be the best. Choose the ones with P700 only, or you might not end up with NFC.
Search and look for stuff that say V20D is best for gaming or whatever.
Hi,
I updated my LG E400's firmware from 10J to 10L last with PC Sync. After upgrading the root was still intact. SuperUser still installed, though I had to install Lucky Patcher and had to select Patch to Android for the Android Market again. However, when I tapped About phone in Settings, there was an error and a force close. I looked up the LG firmware site and downloaded the 10L firmware and updated with KDZ updater. The problem started right after that.
I have not been able to root with any ninja script, doomlord script, superoneclick. I have tried reverting to an older firmware (the original version 10J cannot be downloaded) 10D or 10I I think, but got the same error while trying to root. Finally, I tried the "without computer" means of rooting like framaroot and Exynosabuse but none worked. So here I have a fine phone with the latest firmware but with all crap like the LG Keyboard and Google Search, Remote Talk, Play Book, Weather and stuff that I can't get rid off. Also, I can't install Link2SD to increase internal memory. Any suggestions??
Regards,
Sam

Do you have L3 I or L3 II ?
You may choose Firmware from LG Optimus Firmwares
And rebuild it.

2. Extract files from the archive to your Desktop.
3. Enable the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.
4. Connect the device to your PC via USB cable.

Unable to root phone after firmware update
Ok..Update my friend..The tool that you had provided was already tried by me. I had LG drivers version 3.10 whereas your link gave me the LG drivers version 3.7. Anyway, I thought maybe a previous version of the drivers will work and uninstalled the updated drivers and installed your drivers. But I get the same error. My phone is getting detected fine by the computer. I think this is something more complex. Let me know if you know anything more than what is already out there from Rootlord, Ninja site, framastor, gingerbreak. Nothing has worked so far. I have even tried degrading the firmware version to 10D but even that did not work so I flashed the current version 10L again.

Sam.

Hi Azithro,
Oh, I've been so stupid. The answer was staring at my face. I have tried all the tools you have mentioned above (maybe not the last one) but finally I realized that the solution is much simpler than that. I simply ran the spectrum rooting software for LG E400 as Administrator in my Win 7 PC and the phone was rooted in 2 mins. After fighting for root from last Friday, the easy solution almost made me fall off my chair. Stay well bro and keep helping like you do.

hi i am facing the same problem but even running as administrator is not helping!
I flashed CM11 (golden by NovaFusion) onto my S3 Mini GTi-8190T. Having some issues with battery drain and losing signal. Figure I need to put the OEM device drivers on but can't find them, or how to do it.
I thought the best thing would be to be able to keep up to date with OEM device drivers.
I know that with the stock Android ROM (JellyBean) I could do it through the OTA (over the air) utility on the phone (though settings), or through KIES on my MAC (OS X 10.11). But that is not an option now.
How do I put OTA on CM? Where do I get it? Or how could I extract it from the stock ROM?
IS there a utility for CM that does it?
Or how do I manually find device drivers from Samsung, download them and install them on my CM phone? (apparently Samsung does not have them for download)
Or how do I manually extract the OEM device drivers from the stock ROM (which is the last option I want to do as that would not necessarily be the newest versions)
And learning more about where device drivers are stored on Android would be nice too.
thanks
Im currently on Lineage ROM, and i got a new phone so i need to flash the stock ROM on this K20 Plus, what would be the easiest way to do it? MetroPCs model.
I know you may have long since found the answer, but for others who may be curious simply search for the official LG software suite PC program and install it. You will need the phone device drivers. There is a thread here in the xda K20 plus ROMs and development forum with links to the necessary files and some basic guides. You'll also need to download the official stock image from the lg-firmwares.com or any such similar host sites. Although I believe the official and recent version of the LG backup/restore suite can download the image file automatically but I may be wrong. The crucial thing is to install all the necessary drivers on your PC and ensure the phone can be recognized on it. I haven't kept up with any of the latest releases to know if maybe the suite does the downloading and drivers setup with ease. But more or less the whole stock reflash process is the same and not difficult.
Hey everyone I have a Stylo 5 on Sprint I was attempting to cross flash the metro android 10 kdz. I was successful but. I get an OP ID MISMATCH error after the LG logo and the warning screen that my software has been modified to continue press the power button. I've been trying to recover by using LG up, LG bridge, LG PC suite, LG mobile software tool, LG flashtool 1.8/2014/2016 modded. But no luck . I have tried fishing the OP partition from a dump I made earlier but it was currupt. I made several bug reports before this happened trying to obtain the Sprint ota dl link but haven't been able to find it in any of them. So if anyone has a Stylo 5 on Sprint and would try to obtain the ota links I would really appreciate it if if they have a backup of their OP PARTITION that might also work. If I can get a Sprint op partition to flash and fix my device and keep android 10. Then it would allow others on Sprint to do so. Side note: I've downloaded the Stylo 5 firmware from source and apparently both lmq720ps and lmq720cs are the same. So the ota and/or Op partition from the cs might work. I'd try to build the firmware from source myself but I lack a stable internet connection and knowledge how to and how to flash said firmware
