Hi,
I updated my LG E400's firmware from 10J to 10L last with PC Sync. After upgrading the root was still intact. SuperUser still installed, though I had to install Lucky Patcher and had to select Patch to Android for the Android Market again. However, when I tapped About phone in Settings, there was an error and a force close. I looked up the LG firmware site and downloaded the 10L firmware and updated with KDZ updater. The problem started right after that.
I have not been able to root with any ninja script, doomlord script, superoneclick. I have tried reverting to an older firmware (the original version 10J cannot be downloaded) 10D or 10I I think, but got the same error while trying to root. Finally, I tried the "without computer" means of rooting like framaroot and Exynosabuse but none worked. So here I have a fine phone with the latest firmware but with all crap like the LG Keyboard and Google Search, Remote Talk, Play Book, Weather and stuff that I can't get rid off. Also, I can't install Link2SD to increase internal memory. Any suggestions??
Regards,
Sam

Do you have L3 I or L3 II ?
You may choose Firmware from LG Optimus Firmwares
And rebuild it.
______________________________________________
✚ BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
✜ Rooting voids the warranty of the device. However, you can restore the warranty by unrooting the device.
✚ The following procedure works on Windows based PCs only.
✚ You must have drivers for your device installed on your PC. You can get them from HERE
✚ ROOTING THE LG OPTIMUS L3 E400:
1. Download and place the Root Package archive on your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the archive to your Desktop.
3. Enable the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.
4. Connect the device to your PC via USB cable.
5. Double-click on the run.bat file you extracted from the archive.
6. It should start rooting the device.
7. Once done, disconnect the device from your PC.
8. And you’re rooted now!

Unable to root phone after firmware update
Ok..Update my friend..The tool that you had provided was already tried by me. I had LG drivers version 3.10 whereas your link gave me the LG drivers version 3.7. Anyway, I thought maybe a previous version of the drivers will work and uninstalled the updated drivers and installed your drivers. But I get the same error. My phone is getting detected fine by the computer. I think this is something more complex. Let me know if you know anything more than what is already out there from Rootlord, Ninja site, framastor, gingerbreak. Nothing has worked so far. I have even tried degrading the firmware version to 10D but even that did not work so I flashed the current version 10L again.

Sam.

Hi Azithro,
Oh, I've been so stupid. The answer was staring at my face. I have tried all the tools you have mentioned above (maybe not the last one) but finally I realized that the solution is much simpler than that. I simply ran the spectrum rooting software for LG E400 as Administrator in my Win 7 PC and the phone was rooted in 2 mins. After fighting for root from last Friday, the easy solution almost made me fall off my chair. Stay well bro and keep helping like you do.

The links are working fine here. You will have to download your regions firmware and also the KDZ updater to install it.
Alternatively if you have access to market, then download launcher pro to replace the LG launcher (it's the best IMO)
You have to copy to system/app LGhome again.
Cheers

Hi, please tell me how to root LG Optimus One p500 step by step because I'm new in android systems, also after the phone is rooted what ROM do you recommend me to install .
thank you
Install z4root. It's pretty straight forward.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833953
You can also use SuperOneClick.
Here is a guide for doing everything from rooting through to custom ROM with lots of explanation.
http://powerdroid.info/
you can also use ginger break. for custom rom you can use cm7.
thanks for all, but neither one for me worked. can you tell me why?
and if it works what should I press during restart to get the root menu.
thanks

Thats impossible , with z4root it easy like pressing once on your screen.
If you have 2.2.2 you need Ginger Break not z4root.

What's the software version on your phone? If its V10C/D/E then you may not be able to use Z4Root, SuperOne Click or even Ginger Break. You need to download the V10b software for your phone and then use the KDZ flasher to downgrade. Then you will be able to use any of the above rooting software.
Check out http://lgoptimusonep500.blogspot.com/ this guy has some good info and links on how to download the software, links for the KDZ flasher and instructions on how you go about it.
And you will have to go the the LG website and download the drivers for your phone. Install the drivers first, reboot your computer, disable your anti-virus, connect your phone. If will then install all the drivers. Next you start the KDZ flasher in compatibility mode (Windows XP SP2) and run with administrator privileges.
During the flashing process, you have to be patient and don't disconnect your phone and play with your pc. It is a delicate process and should be done carefully.
It's V10C software version
please provide me the link for the latest ROM for my phone which supports arabic and can be rooted .
thanks in advance
have the same phone with version V10 E and Ginger Break worked like charm!! Before downgrading the firmware at least give it a try to save the hassle

Use Market Enabler... pick "Trollafone Mobile" as the operator and you're done!!!
You'll see some other great apps available with that operator (like Trollamod Recovery and Trollanium Backup) LOL

- Flash custom recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15206279&postcount=4
- Flash a rooted ROM from recovery
Done
After faffing around forever with x4root on 2.2.3 I used Gingerbread and it worked first time.
You need ;
GingerBreak
and then
Titanium Backup ( from the marketplace)
HOWEVER
My advice is unless you are a propeller-head ( I am absolutely not ) and know your stuff backwards DO NOT ROOT YOUR PHONE.
I did it for the simple reason I HATE Facebook and Twitter and did not even want to see the logos and this was the only way to remove them apparently . I googled, watched a few videos on rooting and away i went. Stupid in hinsight.
I rooted my phone, removed them and a few others and then when the unit just suddenly froze up on me and would not hard reset etc. Simply kept getting error messages. Luckily LG here in Cambodia re-flashed the software.
I have now removed anything to do with that process and have a nice, clean, safe android that does not hang or freeze etc. ALBEIT WITH THoSE **** FB and TWIT ICONS !!
Rooting - JUST DON'T DO IT
So your problem was due to you uninstalling important apps excluding facebook and twitter...not directly because of rooting.
Well...yes...my problem had nothing to do with deleting FB and TWATTER and everything to do with deleting important apps
I liken it to having just learnt how to drive a car ( getting your first Android )
You cruise around a bit and enjoy it.
You start to use the gas pedal and that's kind of fun ( installing apps )
Then.....
Your new petrol-head mates tell you that using the turbo ( rooting your phone )
is the MOST fun you can have in one day
Then....
You hit the turbo
and
because you are an inexperienced driver and cannot handle the power you fishtail out of control and slam into the wall
Car then needs repairing.
I have LG P705 (optimus L7) phone, I installed LG pc suite on my computer to update the phone from 4.0.3 to latest firmware (JellyBean). Ok here's what you need to do:
Download KDZ (http://www.android-hilfe.de/attachm...sionen-ohne-datenverlust-kdz_fw_upd_en-1-.zip)
Obtain your firmware: (http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=13)
Install drivers for LG pc suite, I will assume you will know how. (Connect your phone to computer and select PC software or something, and then it will check for drivers and install them.)
Enable usb debugging, should be in developer settings or in security.
On the folder you DL'ed open windows enabler, and go to your bottom right icons (where internet and clock is) and double click on the windows enabler thing.
Run KDZ_FWD_UPD.exe
Select 3GQCT in phone type, and DIAG as mode.
Choose the .KDZ you downloaded, click start flashing. Don't worry if it doesn't respond. This is normal. The phone will say emergency mode.
Wait.....
Wait longer....
If it comes up with an error, you F*** up the download, try again.
PROFIT!
No it won't delete your stuff, but be sure to back up vital info.

Thank you AsianFoodRules for your reply and providing me step by step guide, On the firmware version page i see firmware for each country, which i need to download, im in US, and currently my unlocked phone is on At&t carrier. I do not see US on the page. Also i want to know if these are JB firmware?
One last thing, can you confirm the newer version makes the phone faster then the ICS version i currently have running on phone.
Any V20(a,b,c,d) firmware is JB. Use europe or one you think will be the best. Choose the ones with P700 only, or you might not end up with NFC.
Search and look for stuff that say V20D is best for gaming or whatever.
{WORKING ROOT FOR T-MOBILE LG LEON LTE 5.1.1 LOLLIPOP}
.....so after a week & some change of endless searching for a working root method, following tons of half-assed directions, trying about 4-5 "1-click root scripts" and installing a bunch of different root APK's with absolutely no luck I finally successfully rooted the T-Mobile LG Leon 5.1.1 Lollipop by putting together a few things I found on this forum.....
This method (with files linked to this post) ONLY works on the T-Mobile LG Leon LTE 5.1.1 Lollipop by downgrading to the previous 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware before the current version.....I did not try it on the MetroPCS variant so please do not inbox me asking "hey bro does this work on MetroPCS??" because I do not know.
It will more-than-likely work if you follow the instructions but you'll need the MetroPCS firmware .kdz file, not the one linked to this post...just find the file and follow the instructions below.
You need the following;
T-Mobile LG Leon Drivers-----> Windows | MAC
LG Flash Tool 2014-------------> LG Flash Tool 2014
LG Leon H34510d kdz file-----> H34510d kdz file
Kingroot 4.5---------------------> Kingroot 4.5
Once you've downloaded the above files follow these directions to successfully root your LG Leon from T-Mobile.
*********************************************************
~BACKUP WHATEVER YOU DO NOT WANT LOST~
~This method will wipe all your apps, pictures, etc.~
*********************************************************
|[ INSTRUCTIONS]|
1.) Download & extract above files to desktop.
2.) Put device in download mode by powering off completely. Then, while the phone is still off, hold the "volume up" button for 2-3 seconds and insert the USB wire (make sure the USB is connected to your desktop/laptop) until download mode screen appears.
3.) Run LG Flash Tool 2014
4.) Once the LG Flash Tool is open, leave (or select) "Select Type" As "CDMA".
5.) Change "PhoneMode" to "CS_EMERGENCY".
6.) Click the folder icon to browse your computer and select the "H34510d_00.kdz" file.
7.) Click the button that says "CSE Flash".
8.) Click on the Start button.
9.) Click on "Clear Update Registry".
10.) For "Country" select "Different Country"
11.) For "Language" select "English" (or whatever language you use).
12.) Click "Okay" and let the LG Flash Tool recognize your device. The Flash Tool will do it's thing and load the file onto your device...it takes a minute or two so just let the process run it's course. Once it hits 100% your phone will reboot once or twice- leave it plugged in -you will see the Android with the spinning blue "thing" in his belly for a second or two then the device will reboot. Wait until the Flash Tool progress bar is at 100% on your computer and your phone shows the setup page (like when you turn it on the very first time) and unplug the device.
***Once the downgrade starts you may see a popup window that says something like "Can not connect to servers" but it is just an error...you can see the timer & progress bar running behind the popup, just ignore it.***
You are now downgraded to the 10d firmware {H34510d}.
13.) Install Kingroot 4.5 and run that and it will take about 30-60 seconds to acheive root.
###ENJOY ROOT ACCESS###
If, for some wild, crazy reason this fails and you soft-brick your device (which shouldn't happen if you follow the directions) check this thread to unbrick: Unbrick T-Mobile LG Leon
Thanks to Yazuken1 and IPRJ25 for some of the info that helped me put this together.

I used this exact same process, except for the Kingroot step. For that step, I used this guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-how-to-root-lgls770-5-1-1-t3184649. It takes longer than Kingroot, but it might be useful to have that documented here.

Kdz error!
I am having a problem. The kdz file will not work says no file when trying to download. Can anyone help me or email me the h34510D Is a file please! Or is there another kdz I can use for a successful root? I have tried changing the urls devtester suggested as well. [email protected]
I had the LG Leon a while ago and I have rooted it with Kingroot 4.1 and replaced kinguser with Supersu using SupersuMe Pro 9.1.2 (other versions didn't work, they hangs on the phase 1). I don't share my apk since it is a paid app. But I still recommend using Supersu rather than kinguser as it is more compatible with a lot of root apps (e.g. Titanium Backup tells you that you MAY have some problems with it, Busybox by Stericsson doesn't work telling you that you are not rooted ecc.) But there is still a little workaround if you don't want to use SupersuMe (and of course it's free ): when you have kinguser install this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bitcubate.root.busybox.complete&hl=it , (it's mandatory for Flashfire to run) install Busybox within the app and then install Flashfire and with the app flash the Supersu.zip . Flashfire says that it isn't tested on this device but I flashed Xposed, Titanium Backup system zip and Dolby Atmos on mine. Only thing I noticed that restoring the backup of Flashfire simply doesn't work (idk why). But for sure it flashes zips with no problems.

LG Leon H326 TV v10b
It works for model LG Leon H326 TV v10b ?
Missing 10D kdz
It looks like the 10D kdz file is no longer available from the original link. I have looked extensively for a copy to no avail.
Does anyone have a local copy they can post ?
Thanks !
I tried to use this guide, but all the links in it are dead.
Along with the bootloader unlocking app ("Indepth test apk") crashing as soon as I try to use it, I've downloaded the stock ROM (though I can't figure out how to extract an OZIP file) and I've enabled USB debugging/OEM unlocking and installed ADB/Fastboot/Odin, I've even tried the spyware one click root apps to no avail, cleaning out the phone afterwards.
I posted for help on /r/androidroot and they basically didn't want to help me either. All I want is to root my phone.

So you are yet to unlock bootloader?
Find that apk first, and unlock the phone, after that I'll help you...
IDk why the app was crashed on yours, since I just rooted my phone a week ago

Maybe it could be that I'm running Android 10?
Yeah same issue, the app opens when I'm not connected to internet but at that time it says to check my connection and when I connect to internet it starts crashing. I think its a bug in new update since the app does not request for permission to access internet ( I checked the apps that request it in settings) thats why when it tries to do so it is stopped by OS.
I found an updated version (as was said there) of apk_tool and it worked for me.
