Any other Sprint employees trying to get an Evo 3D? I'm a B2B rep for a preferred dealer and I got the same old story they gave everyone last year with the Evo. EMPLOYEES MUST WAIT!
Anyway around this? buying the phone at full price? Just started at Sprint 2 months ago so I'm not that familiar with how this stuff works yet.

You are an employee? Radio Shack didnt ask to change you plans?
Im on SERO-P and trying to figure out where i can upgrade aside from Sprint.
I am sure if you go into the shack or BB and pay full retail for it they will not question you as to why you want to not have them activateit for you.
It's my understanding that when you call Sprint customer care to activate the phone, they wont put it on your employee plan. I'd consider paying full price but I don't want to get stuck with a $500 phone I can't use.

i'm not 100% positive but I believe they still ask you to change plans online. anyone else have more information on this? this will be my 1st upgrade on an employee plan and i'm just going off the information my co-workers have given me.

I don't know any sprint employee on the SERO plan. Not when you can be on the $20 Free & Clear 3000.

Thought I saw something on iconnect today to the effect that employees could get the 3d on launch day.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA Premium App
iconnect? not sure what that is lol. like i said, im kinda new and i dont work in a retail location.
from what I remember as a Corp sprint employee, they wouldn't even activate a phone that was on the hold list, even if you bought it outright, pretty much out of luck.

I don't think there's anyway around it.. Besides paying full retail..
As of right now, employees can get the Evo 3D on lunch day. Just keep in mind with Sprint, that is subject to change at any moment lol. This is what I got from iConnect and what upper management is saying so far.

I chatted with a rep about getting an early upgrade and heres what he said:
Francis S.: Yes, I have check that the early upgrade promotion is running from 3/18/12 - 5/20/12 on stores.
Francis S.: For that you need to visit your nearest Sprint store as this offer is only offered on Sprint stores.
Anyone have any clue about this?
How far in do u have to be to get the early promotion

Even though Sprint ended early upgrades for premiere customers, you still get one last one. Just an FYI. A lot of people probably got the Evo 3D on launch day, so come June people in the premier program should be good to go.
Not sure what program the Sprint representative was talking about here, but is there really any phones dropping before 5-20 that you would want to upgrade to?

Sprint also has early upgrade Buyout options for some customers, not sure what the formula is for who qualifies but several people have an option to upgrade early (with a fee of course).
Good. I can't wait to drop the evo 3d. The 3D gimmick hindered so much development

If you are a premiere customer you get an upgrade every year, or at least used to. Sprint ended early upgrades. However, every premier customer gets one last one before the end of the year.
I used my early upgrade on the 3D and am eligible for an upgrade June 6th.

Did you get it on launch day? Or after they ended the rewards program?
I got mine on launch day. Was an early upgrade from the original evo, which I believe was an early upgrade from the pre.
Anyways, according to Sprints website, I'm good to go for an upgrade June 6th. The upgrade must be used before the end of the calender year.
Idk, check your upgrade status on sprints site. Maybe I'm just awesome.

They ended the premiere program right before the launch of the 3D. I called in and they said I still have mine for that year, so I used it on the 3D on launch day.
Sprint will let you buy out your ETF and allow to buy the phone subsidized. Obviously you have to do the math.

I'm the same way, except I didn't qualify for my upgrade until July 3rd. I believe I have until the middle of December this year to use my final annual upgrade. Still trying to decide what that next device will be & after I got ICS on this bad boy I'm not too sure I'm in much of a hurry - I may have to wait to see what's on the horizon behind the EVO LTE & the GSIII.
I've been trying to figure out if, if any, store will have galaxy s3's in stock in store tomorrow. An article online is stating at&t will have in store but I'd like to know if anyone knows any.
Thanks!

Well I know I called every store in my area that could possibly sell the SGS3 and everyone said they have no stock yet
I just talked to bestbuy in houston, and he said that all at&t pre-orders should be filled today, and IF they have any extra it will be first come first serve.
im hoping to stop by after work and pick one on contract for at&t and maybe sell or keep my international. have not decided quite yet.
I just went into Sprint and AT&T in hopes they had a dummy unit. I am on Verizon but I wanted to try out the phone. Both stores told me they wont have any to try until the 28th
I have been looking to get a S3 for AT&T and its not available in any store, I'm in Denver, doesn anyone know if its in any store here?
Has anyone else tried to purchase an app in the last couple of days using Carrier billing in Google Play? I have tried the last couple of days and while it shows my Sprint account when I goto pay, it won't let me select it. It is greyed out and all I can use is one of my credit cards that have been saved.
I am wondering if this has something to do with Google Wallet being broken on the Lte? Anyone else having this issue? I was going to call Sprint on my lunch break and see what they had to offer as well.

Well just got off the phone with Sprint. First it was supposedly on Google's end so I asked to speak with someone else. Next tech initially said that they no longer allow carrier billing and it stopped about three months ago. When I explained that I just used it over the weekend and that Sprint had just recently announced a partnership with Google Play for all store items she seemed confused and put me on hold. Then came back and said that my bill was behind so Google turned it off??? Next I informed her that actually my account is over paid by $80 she was even more upset and flustered. I thought she put me on hold again but she had just hung up on me. In the end she must have cleared my account as the apps I was trying to purchase I was able to.
Talk about horrible service and way to make sure your tech support team is well trained Sprint. What a joke...

My account was showing past due as well last month, when it clearly wasn't. I called in and they couldn't explain it either, but I got good service on the phone. My phone rep was very helpful and was going to call and follow up next month to make sure I wasn't charged anything extra.
To bring up an old subject, the other day I tried to buy an App. I kept getting an error, so I cleared the cache for the Play Store. and now I don't even have an obtion to bill to carrier. Any ideas?

It could be a Rom issue I know in the past I wasn't able to on certain roms. I haven't tried in a while but I did purchase some songs a few weeks ago. I believe I was on one of the earlier builds of meanbean. Try doing a back up and flashing a stock rom.

I have carrier billing. Always did. I heard a rumor if you don't pay your bill on time the option gets removed till you make a few consecutive payments on time. At least that's what a sprint Rep told my sister when she called to complain about not having the option.
I posted screenshots earlier today on another post regarding this matter showing I have the option. I'm never late on bills or ever have been so maybe that's why.

I'm sorry, I meant will it be available at other retailers such as Amazon or RadioShack? Third parties are selling the phone for less than Sprint corporate so that's why I ask.
The white is exclusive to Sprint stores and its preferred retailers.
Im sure it will be for at least 60, if not 90 days.
The reason the phones are cheaper at amazon and radio shack is because you don't receive the same level of service at a Sprint store.
