Hello, Folks,
I'm using a HTC Thunderbolt with PS 1.4 and am unable to update to the new 1.5. Using Rom Manager, I've tried installing the zip directly, renamed the file to update.zip and installing that way, and installed it as a new rom. It will boot to a menu to select "English." It will then try to activate but will not. Please help.
Let me guess, did you install the new radio also?
There was not a radio listed at the download page. The last radio update came from 1.4. Where can I get the radio for 1.5?

The link is in the second line of the PS 1.5 OP. It's the MR2 radio.
Yup, without the MR2 radio you won't get data so you cannot activate.
it takes time when that screen pops up

Hey guys,
So i was running the leaked GB radio and BAMF 2.0.5 until last night when I decided to avoid the brick monster until things were sorted. Nevertheless I couldnt find a thread which clearly stated either to install the older radio or rom first so I used my intuition and backed up, installed the #1 radio from the Ob Radio thread then booted and rebooted into recovery via adb and installed BAMF 1.7. I was not able to gain mobile data at anytime so I tried Radio #3 with also negative results..
Is there something im doing wrong? I wiped Data and Cache and Dalvik 3x times before flashing anything to be sure the GB reminents were gone. Should I reflash the rom then radio? Im lost.. Thanks for the help..
Reflash both.
Same thing happen to me. I have try everything. I had to flash back to stock ota And then 4G came back. Then I had the root all over again. That should be your last option though
Sent from my Thunderbolt using Tapatalk
I flashed the update all in one ROM, which gave me a rooted verizon OTA, and the radio worked just fine, 4G working faster than with the GB radio.
After that I flashed the 4th Froyo radio, then BAMF 1.7, and all is still good! I miss Netflix though!
So Pray just to be certain you flashed the "Custom upgrade PG05IMG_MR1_upgrade.zip" from step 7 of the Root thread? Then flashed Radio #4 which is version
Next up, the 1.12.605.6 CDMA and 1.13.605.7 LTE radio
CDMA Radio version: 1.16.00.0223r
LTE radio version that came with 1.13.695.7
Am I missing anything?

Correct. But unless you are going to run CM7 I wouldn't flash the old 223r radio, I'd just flash the upgrade RUU and you're good.

Did you flash a Gingerbread radio? That is almost 99% of the time the issue. You can't run 2.0 on stock Froyo radio. If you need help I can help further pm me.
similar issue,
flashed this rom - [ROM][5.25.11] BAMF GingerREMIX v2.0 Beta #5
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1095280
Install went fine, but phone would not work and sim card not found. You mention gingerbread radio since froyo wont work. Its not listed in that post that a seperate flash is required. Had to reflash back to bamf 1.63 remix to get phone working.
Any help would be appreciated.

It mentions the GB RUU so that means you have to have it. Which btw it's known to brick your phone without warning.
The reason you did not have any data is because you were still using the froyo radio, to run any of the BAMF 2.0's you need the gingerbread radio.
grab the mr2 radio. that will work

This is what it recommends I do
Things to know:
•A FULL WIPE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
•This is a leaked GB RUU, it has bugs, all we can do is try our best to squash them! Flash at your own risk.
I thought the gingerbread radio was also included in the rom(my mistake). From a novice point of view. If I do a full wipe and then install bamf 2.0.
1. What method can be utlized to flash the gingerbread radio?
2. What is the correct gingerbread radio for bamf 2.0?
3. Is there a way to flash bamf 2.0 with the updated radio already included in the rom?
Thanks again in advance.
hey mojo they never found the cause of the few bricks so what you said was false and you flash the radio in hboot read the thread on rooting or the radios it tells you all you need to know how to flash it doesnot matter what order you flash the rom and radio just remember to delet the radio file from your sd card once you flashed it

Radios are seperate. They need to be flashed in the bootloader. Use the MR2 radio as the other radio bricks your phone.

No what you just said was false. Since they don't know where the bricking comes from, it's safe to say that its possibly from that radio. SOOOOOOOO use the MR2 radio instead.
there is no rom with the radio included, put the mr2 on your sd card rename it,reboot the phone and hold the down volume and power button until it brings you into the boot loader it will find the file and ask it u want to update hit the power button wait til its done and reboot

I have downloaded the mr2 radio
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1115714
Just want to confirm, once I follow the steps I had previously posted,
1. manually flash bamf 2.0 from recovery
2. go in to bootloader and flash m42 radio
I should be up and running? Minus any of the known bugs obviously...

yup but make sure before you flash anything you wipe data, cache, dalvik cache. After everything is done throw in a fix permissions just for good measure and you're good to go.
Im now up and running with bamf 2.0
Thanks

Ok.. I have read through some other posts..
First thing I did was flash the new radio (#1 on "Obligatory Radio thread).. I used hboot after putting the file directly onto the root of my phone..
Then I downloaded 2.1 Bamf.. i preformed the flash in ROM manger.. After all went through I had no service..
I re-hbooted the radio, just for safe measures.. still no service... To make things worse i can''t acess my HD through my computer..
HELP PLEASE!!
I am getting an
"application sync service (in process com.fusonone.android.sync.service) is not responding
and a
HTC DM (in process com.htc.android.omadm.service) is not responding
The Gingerbread BAMF ROMs require the Gingerbread radio. You flashed a Froyo radio instead. Go back and grab the right radio.
I was under the impression the radio I flashed was a GB radio.. it was a link directly from the BAMF thread.. If i am mistaken I am extremly sorry for wasting your time..
What is a correct GB radio?
The newest GB radio can be found here. I'm not sure which version was in the Radio thread, but it was the last one listed.
Thanks..
Although, now when i flash that radio... same thing happens.. No service..
Do I need to do anything special? I am using Hboot to flash it..
I would re-flash the rom and then install the radio again or revert back to your old rom and radio and then redo it. I always flash roms from the clockwork mod recovery screen as I have had issues doing it with rom manager.
And there we goo.. Thank you both VERY MUCH!!
No problem glad i could help!
Do I have to install MR2 or MR2.5 in order for the radio to work? I just flashed to BAMF 3.0 RC4 and I have no mobile network available... ouch.
I am having the same exact problem. Help would be great if you have figured it out!
yes they recommend mr2
When I reboot the phone I get two notifications:
"Sorry! Application HTC DM (in process com.htc.android.omadm.service is not responding"
and
"Sorry! Application Sync Service (in process com.fusionone.android.sync.service) is not responding"
It gives me two options for each of the error messages:
Force close OR Wait
Halp!

Here's directions on how to flash the radio just in case you need them. Download either radio you want to use(either will work). Make sure it's named PG05IMG.zip. Check the MD5 sum and place on your sdcard. Power phone down completely, hold volume down button and power button and phone will boot into hboot. It will then ask do you want to update, hit volume up button to say yes. From here it will flash the radio then request you hit the power button to reboot. After that you should have mobile network. Last thing delete the PG05IMG.zip file off of your sd card just in case you have any issues in the future and need to boot into recovery through hboot.

Thanks a lot! I am doing the update right now. Question. In that MR2 link in the first post, in that thread that you linked - is both the LTE and the radio packaged in that zip file? [the (MR2)PG05IMG.zip (24.78 MB)] zip file, I mean.

Okay so just help me out real quick.. I downloaded the 2.5 does that contain everything I need? And I need to flash the ROM and then flash the radio? What am I supposed to do with the CD5 code?
If I'm not mistaken, Bamf sense 3.0 rc4 uses the newest radios, so MR2 or MR2.5 should work
Back up a second...

Okay cool.. so if I download it how do I know the MD5 sum is the proper one? I got the 2.5 and am planning on flashing it onto my phone. So how would I go about checking the MD5 Sum and then flashing it properly onto my phone?
I'm only stating the obvious but reading the op post of the rom you installed gave the you the info you needed. The MR2 post is stated as being the optimal radio for the last two BAMF rc releases/

Click the download link for MR2. Follow the instructions above that I posted regarding checking the MD5 sum. It's very simple. Just be patient. Then follow devindpotts' instructions:

Before you put the zip file onto your SD card, rename it to PG05IMG.zip exactly. So just remove the "(MR2)" from the filename.
Hi All,
I've been able to successfully run CM7 7.1.1 and MR2 radio successfully on my Tbolt. I tried to help a friend out with his slightly older Tbolt and used the Radio guide found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1048128. His baseband reads 1.13.605.7, so we matched it up with the list and downloaded the file and applied successfully with HBOOT.
The problem with run into is when we flash CM7 and boot up, we always get a "SIM card unavailable, emergency calls only" message and the baseband reads "version unavailable", everything works under the stock rom and we can see the radio versions have changed to the ones we flashed, so a faulty flash doesn't appear to be the problem. Any ideas what we've done wrong?
Thanks in advance.
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe you have to use a newer radio than the one you mentioned with CM7. Download the newest radio available, flash it, then you should get service with CM7.
How do I find the newer radio, and are there different versions?
Thanks.

Either download them as a package or go to the thunderbolt radio thread in the dev section and download the CDMA and LTE seperate, and flash both through HBOOT.
