I couldn't find this anywhere else, so heres my question. When I switch to bamf gingermix 2 beta 5 and 6 trying both radio versions pandora runs slow, loads slow switches songs slowly and stalls. Anyone else seen this issue?

Same issue here on Gingervitis 1.0 final.

Do you have the latest update to Pandora? I believe it is 1.5.9. It seems to not have an many issues with skipping, lag, etc.
If you don't have it, download it from the market and see if it helps.
This is an ongoing issue. I had done a lot of testing and 1.5.6 actually was the best performer for me for awhile but it eventually started to lag. 1.5.9 seems to be somewhat better but I still have about a 10-15 second lag between songs. I put a 1.5.6 apk down in the development forum in the bamf 2.0.5 thread.
Ya, 1.5.9 so far has been working the best for me. It still pauses between songs every now and then, but still better than before.
Thanks for the replies. I have tried both versions listed with no luck. Guess I will just stick with bamf 1.7 until we get a radio that works with it.

Ya, it's kinda wonky at best. Pandora's stand is that they don't support "non standard" systems on phones. So until GB is officially released for the T-bolt, we probably won't see any type of fix for it.
Hopefully soon.
No problems here - I am running MR2.5 with The Perfect Storm 1.5 and the latest version of Pandora

Can I get some input on which will be a good Rom to install to achieve the following:
Sense and HTC widgets intact
VZW bloated removed
No commanded reboots** this is my biggest issue here
Otherwise I'm not picky about what the Rom does or looks looks like.
I've tried the perfect storm and a few others, but those reboots drive me crazy.
Thanks for any input or advice.

What do you mean by commanded reboots?
Regardless, Das BAMF is probably the most popular ROM on this forum and with good reason.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
I'd recommend Das BAMF 1.6 with the new radio.
I don't know what you mean by "commanded reboots" though? I have never had a random reboot with my TB.
I meant uncommanded reboots, sorry the auto correct changed it and I didnt catch it.
I will give BAMF a try. Thanks for the input.
Yep. Das BAMF Remix 1.6 is great. Make sure to do a full wipe to avoid potential issues and use Zippy's gps fix.

I really like "Virus Rom" I have had zero issues and love the style!
B.A.M.F 1.6 is the best so far for me.
bamf 1.6 is probably the best one for what you want i used it from day one but now that cyanogenmod is out and working flawlessly on my phone ive been using that
RE: Sorry mods just saw someone else made similar thread earlier in General in reference to GSB. U can remove this if needed
I have several other Android devices for dev and play purposes but mainly just my Eris, which is my primary, I have lots of problems with XDA FCs and not loading the server correctly. Does anyone else have this issue? Or have an idea why. It really doesn't matter which ROM. I'm using either. I don't have premium yet, every time I go to upgrade I'm broke but definitely gonna upgrade. But that shouldn't affect it.

Which rom are you running? I've had no issues using the XDA app with KaosFroyo v39 & GSB v3.5 & 3.6, but I saw that another user is having issues while running GSB 3.7??
Well now I'm running TheROM latest update no problem but various others including GSB various versions, Gin-sen-tazz, MacROM, I've been flashing a lot and even after JIT enabled for a while I get slow XDA. Not so much the past couple days on TheROM

What are the known bugs with the CM7 Gingerbread ROM for the Vibrant?
I'm considering rooting and flashing my Vibrant to get better speed, but I don't know which ROM is the best for me. I've read that CM7 is popular.
Currently only one. Battery. Batter life will be around 30-40% shorter than on Froyo ROMs. Except...if you were getting 23 hours on a charge to be getting around 16.
He's right. Just battery. I used to have all sorts of problems with ginger, but it was either user error or I was using very beta-builds. Now 2.3.4 is incredibly stable with just a lil bit more battery drain than you are used to. My suggestion: try out trigger redux. Its a fantastic daily driver.

Where did you get the 2.3.4? I have the same phone as you with Firmware version 2.2, baseband version T959UVKA6, Kernel version 2.2.32.9 and Build number Froyo.UVKA6. A friend of mine put this on my phone and I don't really understand how it all works. Will 2.3.4 give me anything more?

Yeh but what more will this give me than what I have now?
For one. Snappier browser. Secondly, I was able to install the nvidia tegra drivers to be able to play games like samurai 2 vengeance. Oh, and you get the useless, yet sought out tv off animation. And until today, netflix [its available for froyo now]. You can google the rest. Seriously, the whole UI is snappier than bionix or trigger ever was. Its awesome how quick it really is.

I'd suggest the CM7 nightly builds. Cyanogenmod 7 is about as good as it gets which is why it is on so many devices.
The only bug your going to notice is that on some of the Gingerbread roms the GPS may not be working, although there is a fix which allows you to lock GPS everytime within 30 seconds literally...
As far as battery life, with CM7 I was lucky to get about 8-10 hours on medium usage, but after I switched out the stock kernel for Glitch's kernel i'm doing a full day, overclocked to 1300mhz undervolted daily.... and it runs beautifully.

hi,can you post a link,i don`t know how to change kernel for Cyanogenmod 7(for vibrant please),for a while i used this rom,and abandoned it because of poor battery life(i have flashed bionix 1.3.1)
Thanks
a couple of bugs i personally had when I was on the latest nightly build were:
Random Reboots: the phone just randomly rebooted when it felt like it wanted to :/ then I saw one of the specific reboots it happened when i tried to put the phone to sleep while entering text it rebooted for no reason i was able to succesfully duplicate this bug many times
Horrible performace: i wasn't every able to play this 720p mkv file i had on the CM7 rom apparently because gingerbread doesn't have hardware acceleration :/ or CM7 for vibrant didn't at least.
Now im testing froyo roms like the bionix 1.31 and the project V and they don't have any of those bugs

How were you able to install those drivers? How did the phone handle?
Sent from my T959 using XDA Premium App
Running CM7 Trigger Redux build 14 and I've only run into two bugs that could be my device, and one that's a known CM7 issue:
Low 3D framerate issues
Text written in landscape dissapears from fields when the phone is rotated to portait mode (May be limited to the Wells Fargo app)
SD cards do not re-mount in Android after being mounted to a PC unless the USB cable is disconnected and reconnected after turning off USB mounting
Battery is fixed, see sig.

I am using the one A18O has posted. There are pretty much daily updates and a lot of work from the other members in the thread.
Here is a link to the one I am talking about for sure.
The only issue I have had is that it does not do a mediascan on boot, so there is no accessing music from SD. Other than that, pretty stable so far and very few complaints by me. Hell, even the camera app loads.
You have no many choices
As for now you have no many choices: or based on Phothon -http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1444637 - which according to replies rather stable or Atrix CM9 pure test build - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1403372
guys....not yet time!! wait for some more time and post this ques!

Just download "rescan media" from the market - allows you to force a media scan at any time.
Right now the CM9 ROMS are in alpha stage so things like camera, video playback, and gapps don't work quite right yet.
I'd wait a few months before going into CM9 if I were you.
I'd recommend either Gingermod, or Neutrino Roms for the time being. They're pretty good.
By the way Neutrino developed hinted that there is a possibility for Neutrino CM9. Will be greate

I am waiting for a stable cm9
cm9
I installed jokersax11's cm9 yesterday, battery life great, no fc's I will be using this as my daily driver from now on. The only thing that may hold someone back is the lack of camera.
Hey guys,
Downloaded temple run today, was so pumped until I played it and realized that touch swiping wasnt accurate (i'd swipe left and would just continue and fall ij water) and the game was a little choppy. Running Turl's v9 CM9, btw. Any of you guys experience similar issues?

Yup. Its a touch issue with the CM9 ROMs.

I'm on stock Gingerbread and rooted. Temple Run plays flawlessly on my Atrix. No lagging at all. Control is also better/more accurate on my Atrix than on my Kindle Fire, HTC EVO View 4G tablet, or my mother-in-law's HTC phone (Incredible?). Haven't tried it yet on my wife's iPhone 4 or iPad 2 though. But on Android, I'm very happy with how it runs on my Atrix. Now, if I could just get past 50,000 points
I'm on cm7 and it runs perfectly with no issues. I've been playing it all day non stop.
i felt a little not smooth as i run it on ios devices.btw,i'm running stock gb rom.
so from what i'm reading here, I guess it's safe to assume that it's an issue with cm9 drivers.
well this sucks because I love Temple Run, but dont think i will b going back to GB for temple run....

As far as I could understand, the bug with CM9 is not only for the Atrix, but for all the devices that are running an ICS version, it has something to do with drivers or some other lie...
no problems on my jokersax cm9 atrix.
EDIT:
actually. yeah. it has problems with touch. doesn't ever go the right way.
Exactly the same problem on miui ics rom as well

No problem with 2.3.4 stock Rom.

From a video I saw on a review of temple run, the guy played it on a galaxy nexus and it lagged and crashed, so I guess its not optimized for the ICS framework which is weird

The game works perfectly fine for 95% of the time but there are times when it slows down significantly for example when there are a lot of objects to render at the same time.
Yeah I'm on MIUI v4 ICS based on CM9 and my swipes always go the wrong way. So bummed but I'll never leave MIUI. Gonna subscribe to this thread in hopes that any fixes or updates will be posted here.

Its performance is rom specific and does not function correctly on cm9 roms or the miui roms built off of it I guess so until those roms get there libs and drivers straight certain games are a no go

Same issue here.
I'm having the same issue on Neutrino v2.6. Choppy as heck, while other games run flawlessly.
