Rom with best battery life? - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Which Rom offers the best battery life??
Villain , Coderom , KPE or KPH ????

U have to try what suits u best depends on ur usage , KPH is working good for me.

CODE ROM - IMO.
I have an explanation - a2sd - just one more battery safer, because more data on sd - less CPU using.

Why needs aps on the sd card less cpu?

number of calls to the phone is reduced, due to the speed of the memory card.
So, less calls to the phone - less battery we use.
And, on my expirence, i advised to use SetCPU and Autostarts, to control you cellphone processor and control your apps
Profiles of SetCPU i gives in near topic - here post.

KPH is giving me excellent battery life... my ace last almost 36 hours now with constant sync of 3 mails.
Without data connections, it lasted me a bit more than 3 days

[Q] Need Help for less battery back up

I have an almost new HTC HD2. I am testing various ROMs and radios to find the reason for why is my HD2 going through battery so quick.
At this point I am with HD2O v18 ROM and 2.15.50 radio. This is the best combo for me so far in terms of battery use. On standby its very less battery life .This all seems to much to me.but I like to use AmeriCanAndroid .
I also sometimes boot AmeriCanAndroid from SD card, and there it's even worse. 60mA on standby and 120-140 on everything off but auto screen brightness.
I have done so many thing to increase the battery life .Use various Auto task killer apps , keep brightness at lowest level ,removed every unnecessary app from mobile, not used GPS & GPRS . but still this all could not worked for me...
I want to use Android man ... What should i do to solve this problem ? Please help me guys

Some Kernel Questions

Don't worry, this is not a what is the best kernel question. However it is similar. I have tired all the kernels, speed mod neak redpill syihah phenomannal. With certain kernels such as neak, speedmod, phenomanal, high get a really high Android OS usage. I have read this is just a reporting error however it seems the battery drains alot when in standby. This is not a waklock problem because i dont have any in the battery usage graph and in better battery stats. Does anyone know how to eliminate this in speedmod as it is my favourite kernel.
My last question is what is the best kernel for standby battery drain, i only use my phone around one hour of display time per day. With speedmod i drain around 3 percent a hour without doing anything and again their are no wakelocks.
If you could provide any insite that would be great.
Thanks
It depends too many variables can affect stand by, type of data your on, your signal strength, and such. Only true way of finding it out is to experiment with different kernels and governors. Try use a governor which sleeps well like lulzactive or similar. They have suspend profiles when screen is off, or can achieve something similar with setcpu and setting a screen off profile with conservative.
Allows a good few charge cycles to judge its performance as battery settles.

Yeah i use the KL1 modem with redpill then one im using right now their is only conservative ondemand hyper and sleepy which is the best for standby
I can't answer that as not used that kernel I myself use only ondemand and works out fine for me. Try out conservative and see how that fares.

Ok but can anyone speak to the high android os usage?
Anyone?
After testing several kernels i found that SIYAH 2.6.9 for Gingerbread and Siyah v3.0beta6 for ICS are tremendous on standby and you can see the low Android os consumption (varies between 3% to 10%)
for me siyah workd well with very less andriod os drain but the newer versions ,i am not satisfied cause its heating up more...iam experimenting all kernels ,i was on redpill latest and it workd well, wivout any setcpu, gov, tweaks etc...since 3 days on saiyah 2.6.14+ an its giving good results like the os drain is less than 10.....an iam not on any gov ,tweaks but ill b trying uv,gov twek .....
and yes for reminder iam heavy duty wiv 385+ apps

Rom with better battery performance or battery tips

Do not have much experience with the galaxy ace roms, so I would ask those who already know the other roms for the existing model because I'm using the Cooper CyanogenMod 7.2.0 RC1, but I'm not satisfied with the battery consumption of it, for to enable wifi or mobile data network consumption is absurd. What is the best rom to have an adequate intake? Since we do not use the phone for games except ninja fruit and angry birds.
If you have any tips to improve consumption, without the basic features off when not using, I thank you.
For best battery, switch to stock DDKQ8
are you often with no signal ? i also had several battery drain in CM7.2 FAT till i found it was due to low signal. now whenever i'm in a place with no signal i just turn on the airplane mod. the phone has been unplugged 4 hours and just consumed 5% battery witch otherwise would be 60% or something around
The biggest battery drainers in order:
-screen. So lower brightness.
-3g/2g switching and downloading. If bad reception, try sticking with 2g (more than enough for messaging, not enough for browsing). Also a firewall to keep apps you don't want from sending/receiving data.
-WiFi. Music (even on headphones) and other interactive apps (games and such)
Also, stock roms yield better battery at the cost of performance (cm based roms are more powerful usually). Ddkq8 has given me the best battery out of all stocks for my everyday use (3g all day, some browsing, lots of whatsapp and music, no games)

[Q] best battery rom and kernel??

Hey,what it's the best life battery rom and kernel for xperia x10 mini??Please, help me,I have CM 7.2 and my battery least only 18 hours. Please help me.
Every ROMs here are made with hard works and care. What developer would want to make bad battery ROM? The best way is to find it out yourself.
P.S. CM7 has very good battery. 18 hrs is great! isnt it?

with some sms per day (~100) and some other use, the rom i got most battery life was GingerSony, almost two days (for my x10minipro, but i think Teamvince created a x10mini rom as well) but even with that rom, if i play a game for some time, it wont even last one day, so battery life is not directly related to the rom itself but to the things you do with the phone, heavy use will mean heavy battery drain

Agree on everything mate, Gingersony really is the most stable and fast rom there is ( just need to flash the led fix ), and for me with that rom the battery lasts 3 full days ( 72H ) without shut down the phone and no charges, and it could last 4 days if i didn't have to listen to 1H of music a day, you probably are wondering how i get such battery life, well it's simple, i don't play games and i don't use much the wifi, i just listen music 1h a day and i send many sms ( even with those sms the battery doesn't drain that much ), and i don't overclock or undervolt, my settings are 480mhz max / 19 mhz min, no ram enhancement stuffs ( that eat more battery ), virtual memory 16 instead of 24/32/48, and card cache 128kb, with no animation effects and the brightness at the minimum, no gps or location services, no internet by data ( that eats battery ), gsm with 2g networks only, no automatic syncs with gmail, email etc.. and that's pretty much the settings i use xD. Take care of your battery and every rom will do you good , but i suggest Gingersony v06 yes .
If i helped you can press thanks...i think xD.

Crazy Seed, you recommend Gingersony v06, but it looks like the highest release for the X10 Mini was only v05. Is this correct or do you have another source?

Sorry mate your right, Sometimes i get confused with the x10 mini vs x10 mini 'pro' thing xD, mine is 'pro' xD.
But yes for your Mini the last one was V05, but i recommend you to port the V06 ( x10 mini pro version ) to that V05, because it has less bugs, i think xD.

Thanks for the clarification. I don't think I'm up to the task of porting a ROM though.

You're welcome. Don't think it's a hard thing to do, it actually is really easy xD, i will resume it for you.
First just extract the winrar of the rom you want to port and the rom that is for your phone.
- Just change the folders app/fonts/framework/media of your Rom to the ones that are on The rom you want to port.
On the "etc" folder:
- Remove all files in the Permissions folder except the files "handheld_core_hardware" and "platform" of your Rom and copy all the ones that are on the V06 except for those 2 files i mentioned.
- Then remove all files in the Init'd folder except the file "00banner" of your V05 and copy all the ones that are on the V06 except for that file i mentioned.
Then select the folders Meta-Inf and System ( and other folders if it exists there, but usually there's no more folders there ), Right click of the mouse, Add to Archive ( winrar ), put it as a .ZIP file and not .RAR, then OK, and there you have it .
And that's it xD.
If i helped press thanks

Rom recommendation for a trip

Hello,
I'm planning going on a trip soon, and I would like to use my i9300 as my main navigation device (both on roads and out in the field). Because of that I'm looking for a rom (or rom-kernal combination) that we'll have good battery life, functioning GPS and good internet reception. So far I've tried several roms from the website (all CM based), but suffered from severe battery drain.
Can you please reccomand on a simple, battery saving rom for my purposes?
Thank you very much!!

We can't discuss ROMs here, but with any kernel that comes with an configuration app you can change the voltage, CPU governors and I/O schedulers, enable or disable zram (obviously depending on the kernel)
On xda there's a topic that shows the differences between CPU governors. Also you can try changing it yourself. They will determinate how much battery your device will eat while active. Obs: zram can give you better memory management, compensating the lack of physical RAM but will DRAIN your battery (like seriously, without zram I have +5h on my battery - low/normal usage)
@mk010: I recommend NCS-ROM: all sensors work optimally, no surprises in unknown environment. For long battery live try (in BoefflaConfigApp) governor zzmoove /profile battery plus.
