I am starting to see things pop up like Real 3D for your HTC Shooter Based ROM, but I can't see what this "shooter" ROM is??? Can someone help me out here?
P.S. I actually posted it in the correct forum
Let's see if I can try to answer this... the Shooter rom was ported from HTC Shooter by the Bamf team of devs.
One of the coolest things about it is that it has Sense 3.0, which obviously changes the current Sense UI that you see on Froyo roms. Many of the GB Roms that you see are not based off of Sense 3.0 but rather Sense 2.1 even though the devs ported some Sense 3 elements.
Originally HTC said the Bolt was not going to be updated with Sense 3. Thanks to Team Bamf, we're now able to use a full Sense 3 rom.
I am currently using the rom and really enjoy it. Battery life and speed (depending on the kernel) are the biggest pluses for me. Of course the new widgets, wallpapers, etc are also cool. Hope this answers your question to some extent.

HTC Shooter was the code name for HTC EVO 3D. Das BAMF has kindly brought over some of those nifty Sense 3.0 features to their latest GB ROM.

Was wondering if any good senseless rom besides Scott's senseless rom.
Am using Scott's senseless rom right now its nice and stable .So i think thats the only one rom without sense. If any other XDA guildies know about any senseless rom for EVO 3D please let me know. Thanks
Depends on what exactly your looking for,
There are a couple of roms that got rid of sense, these include miui and cm7,
You also want to look for aosp roms, these are all senseless...
Smokin420 has a wonderful little tool that should remove sense from any rom you want search the developement thread for it.
I've personally tried miui and its pretty sweet, once you figure out all the lil tricks and shortcuts to stuff. They still have a long way to go tho. Miui will never have 4g tho, as it came from Japanese developers who have no use for 4g, and the camera was borked when i used miui(might be fixed now, might not be)
went back to scotts cleanrom2.7 myself
If I've helped hit thanks
Shot from my shooter in 3D
injected with cleanrom2.7
Do most people not use the HTC sense widgets? I'm thinking I should try a non-sensed ROM next.

HTC widgets are admittedly cool, but since I started rocking Launcher Pro Plus, I've since stopped using them. The 4x4 icon grid in Sense was the dealbreaker for me.

i liked htc sense widgets but then i slowly kept swapping them out for "beautiful widgets" and "minimalistic text" widgets now i don't have any sense ones at all
So excuse me for sounding like a noob d-bag but I love sense 4.0 and ics. Only Rom I'm seeing is newt one s. Every other ics Rom is sense 3.6 base. Am I missing one or is that the only one out there for cdma right now. I loved it but had to go back to a 3.6 Rom because I need my bluetooth when driving.

the main problem is that 4.0 is not a native interface for the 3vo so things like camera and I think wimax do not work...most devs would rather build from a stable build to give us a better experience, instead of having to go through the trouble of making it stable to start out with..
Sup everybody. I just did the HTC software update and now I have honeycomb 3.2. I hate the new interface and don't understand why they made such a change to it or don't give you the option to go back to the old interface.
My question is why the hell did they downgrade the sense from a 3.0 to a 1.1 on the honeycomb update? That makes no sense (pardon the pun). Anybody know why this is and is there a way to go back to gingerbread without rooting?
As far as I know Sense 3.0 was for phones running Gingerbread. Sense 1.1 was for tablets running HC. Until the unification of ICS, I guess the Sense UI had 2 development paths, phones & tablets.
Just a guess

I felt the same way. Rooted and downgraded back GB, prior to that I had been updated on HC for a few months. After switching back, I realized that the overall functionality of HC was much better. Using cypher custom Rom on stock kernel, plenty of free memory, quick, give it a try.
Other then that, start learning to cook up your own custom Rom, de sense it how you like. I say this cuz as you may have noticed the View's development is quite starved. We need more contributions.

Hi,
For a while life got in the way and I haven't been able to keep up with the Rom development for GSM. But I finally have some free time and there are a fair few of ICS roms.
Simple question which one do you use and why?
Also do you have to flash the new firmware? I read somewhere it causes issues and you can't revert back.

I'm using sense 3.6 test keys 3.0.5 by mdeejay. It's not very fast but It's stable and everything works. Also battery is quiet satisfying. And aye you'll have to flash the newer firmware if you want it to work properly.

In my opinion most ROMe are more or less the same. I use Virtuous Shooter, which runs nicely, bugless and has no bloatware.
Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead...
If you like Sense 3.6, there are a bunch of ROMs with 3.6 in GSM Development section.
If you like Sense 4.0, there are a few ROMs, but without 3D functions.
If you like ICS stock/AOSP look try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1507616
Personally I'm using Senseless ROM from VladBelsky, because I like AOSP look, but it's on you.. All of them are great ROMs, you just have to choose the right one for you
i'm looking to trade my sgs2 for an evo 3d possibly and i just want to know some general questions about the evo 3d
1) How does sense 3.5 handle on the evo 3d?
2) Does 3.5 multi task well especially when gaming?
3) How does sense 4.0 handle on the evo 3d?
4) Does 4.0 multi task well especially when gaming?
5) How does 4.5 do?
6) How does AOSP handle on this phone?
7) How much life would you say this device has left in it when it comes to development?
8) do you think it would be a smart decision for me to trade down to a phone with half the RAM my current phone has?
thank you all so much

1) Sense 3.5 runs fairly well on the 3d, I was on the AndroTECH sense 3.5 from for a while, until the ics update that had sense 3.6 (which is fantastic btw)
2) Cant really vouch for anything on that one as I'm not really a gamer lol
3) Sense 4.0 is amazing. The only bugs are 3D and 4G (which isn't a dealbreaker by far, trust me)
4) See #2
5) Sense 4.5 isn't here yet for the 3D, I believe gruesomewolf is working on a port
6) AOSP is great as well, the ics bugs being 3d (I believe they have 4g now on cm9) while cm10 has no camera (its a work in progress from all the jellybean devs)
7) With sense 3.6 thriving, 4.0 roms popping up, sense 4.5 and 4+ on the way, and constant aosp development, I think that answers itself
8) Half the ram? I didn't know the gs2 has two gigs of ram guess you learn something new every day.

Wait what the evo 3d has 1gb of ram?! I thought I read 512mb?!?!?!?
If so I'm ****in sold!!! Lol
I'm part of team dirt and I usually do aosp ROMs as well but I'm starting to really like sense again so I'd have a good idea for a sense 3.5, 3.6 and 4.1 rom

Yeah, the EVO 3D definitely has 1GB of RAM . Overall performance is pretty good. I would personally say that ROM development has been pretty slow, but there is currently a pretty good selection if you're willing to accept a few bugs. I guess development on the GSII has been really slow too anyway. I also like the EVO 3D because the GPS works correctly and isn't as easy to drop as the GSII .
Good luck!
