Of all things, that should of been the first thing they made removable.
If ya'll just chill I am sure once we get root all of these apps will be gone. I was able to remove a couple of apps like blockbuster and nascar by simply uninstalling them in the manage applications section.
Devs will be able to remove spiderman rather easily. (hopefully)

Actually, after running Myn's Synergy for the past couple of weeks Sense 3.0 has kind of grown on me. I can't wait to use the sucker in all of it's dual core excess RAM goodness
I just wish I could watch Greenhornet. I click on it and it takes me to a screen that says watch, but nothing is listed. That sucks. Where can you get these so called 3D Movies from anyways?

Where is this department, and how do I speak with them? Do you have any idea how anxious I am to get this? I've about had it with my Hero. Friday morning can't come soon enough right now. I'll be at the local Sprint store as soon as they open to get my new phone. But if I can get it sooner, please tell me how!

I think he means he works at Sprint, and as a result of good sales performance, Sprint gave him an Evo 3D.

I think SPRINT is going to be getting many of these back if it is not rooted by 2 weeks.
I for 1 will ship it back if in 2 weeks it can't be rooted.

As much as it'll irk us early adopters, I hope HTC lives up to their word and it does come unlocked.
Exclusivity is not a big deal, I rather this phone become more popular than stay on Sprint. The more people own a 3D the more attention HTC gives it (hopefully)

Not just HTC, but the device itself. If more people own the E3D there will be a higher demand for more developers to make 3D content (movies, games, and so forth), as well as a higher demand for 3D devices in the future (Next gen. EVO with quadcore processor, 3D once again, more RAM, ROM and so forth ).
This will be fun. Now we get to sift through GSM only/CDMA only threads.

I had a g2x forum made to prevent this in the o2x forum... To many people would brick there phones flashing roms for cmda phones only and vise versa

Well damn, I hope its not true. Its not a fair shake. I'd like the HTC Sensation if it were a CDMA option along side the 3D.
You hardly ever hear of 2 flagship models from the same OEM come back to back like that, for 1 U.S. carrier.
Man I swear if Tmobile had better coverage here...they've been doing pretty well with the phone selection.

I would take this with a grain of salt. I can't see Sprint allowing this to happen. This is going to be like an AndroidCentral article "Update...Looks like we were wrong" We left out a small detail etc etc blah blah. We'll see though...And just bc it passed FCC, doesn't mean it will definitely see the light of day and if it does, it doesn't mean tomorrow or next month.

Well, I came from the Epic. I thought it was a great phone, but I really love the photon! Blur can be a little laggy going from screen to screen. Use launcher pro and it flies. Mine is unlocked, rooted, and has Alien rom on it, and it's just stupid fast and smooth. Once source is released and we have custom kernels, it will be even better. Battery life has been great for me. Some people have had problems as with any new phone, a fix is to be released soon. I however have not had any of these problems. I also have the dock which is like having another computer. All in all it comes down to personal choice. What works for one does not work for all.
ok cool thanks for the reply. The one at the store was lagging a lil from side scrolling the screens.
ALSO being very new at the phone, In 5 mins of touching the phone I figured out how to page jump by swiping up on the launcher pulls up the seven screens like pinching in does on the epic and htc. Whereas reviews claimed there was no way to bring up the screens in any way.
only thing that bothers me is the screen. i dont think I could get used to that.
there was similar effect going to epic from evo, seeing the pixels. But the Photon is way noticeable on pretty much anything. But then again its just a temporary toy
I came from a Vibrant which is the Tmo galaxy S.
(well, ok, so I had a evo 4g and a evo 3d between....but the Vibrant made those BOTH look like a POS)
I had custom kernel (overstock) and a very nice ROM on the Vibrant (don't recall which).
It was very fast, stupid fast. This Photon keeps up with it and I have had no real problems that I can really think of.
I honestly do not see the MoPhos screen as being lesser than the super AMOled....I seriously do not see any noticable difference.
I also got tired of waiting for the SGS2.
I am getting the photon today as well, actually its already at my house in a box waiting for me to get off work and play with it.
I'm coming from an EVO - i'm overdue for an upgrade

Agree... that's why mine's being shipped here at Work. However, mine isn't arriving until Monday.
Although I like living in CA because of the weather, it also means I have to wait a few days more every time I order a new phone from Sprint.

If you really miss Sense, check out some of the other launchers on the Market like ADW, Launcher Pro, or Go Launcher EX <- my favorite. Many of them have widgets that are very similar to HTC's Sense. If the Sense clock is the thing that does it for you, there are also tons of widgets that replicate that too.
just got a photon and i need to tether free without doc is it possible yet? im not positive im keeping it and tethering is deal breaker but i got photon free as exchange for one of my broke epics.

That is cool they give you that as replacement. What are you talking about tethering? I use the hotspot all the time on my Epic. Are you saying on the Photon you need some sort of dock?

Hi all. I currently have an HTC EVO 4G but it is starting to give out on me. Things like the wake/sleep button is slowly descending into the phone and the charging jack not working correctly. Anyway I was wondering if anyone was selling their EVO 3D I figure might as well buy the 3D and move on from the 4G. Thank you

Three sentence review: My evo3d is super fast, no lag or stuttering like with the one android device people think is the end all.
I say do it! I went from the nexus s 4g to the 3d(evo4g before nexus) and im never disappointed with the performance.

The possible banning? No, it's already starting.
This is not really that big of a deal It's definitely some b.s. buy not that big of a deal. T-Mobile is talking about ending their sales of subsidized phones Verizon doesn't really lock their phones most cdma companies will give you the spc. But you still have to figure out how to get your phone on the other company. At&t well they and android forums both suck Honestly this whole thing sucks but you me and everyone should boycott by not buying locked phones from carriers

It will be interesting to see where this leads...
At the end of the day it's all about the carriers making money. I dont see this stooping me from unlocking phones at all. Once I buy the phone, its my property to do with as I please.

Short answer is no. Long answer is that sprint verizon and some phone flashing companies want you to think that. Carriers want you to think that so that you don't take your phone and run off to another phone company with it. Phone flashing companies want you to think that so that the info isn't spread around as much how to do it. That sounds crazy but there is alot of money to be made in flashing phones especially two years ago when companies were charging 120 dollars to flash an evo to metro and well you know how much Verizon and sprint (especially) makes off you

Ok, I'll bite. I haven't looked at the new proposed legislation, but if it's anything like the 90s version -- as far as the types of weapons that would be banned -- Yes, I'm for it. Do I think it will solve all of our gun-related issues? No way, not even close. But it's a small step in the right direction IMO. It's not your 2nd Amendment right to own some of these crazy assault weapons; they're completely unnecessary. I also support banning high-capacity magazines.
