The possible banning? No, it's already starting.
This is not really that big of a deal It's definitely some b.s. buy not that big of a deal. T-Mobile is talking about ending their sales of subsidized phones Verizon doesn't really lock their phones most cdma companies will give you the spc. But you still have to figure out how to get your phone on the other company. At&t well they and android forums both suck Honestly this whole thing sucks but you me and everyone should boycott by not buying locked phones from carriers
I thought flashing from Sprint to MetroPCS was already illegal...
It will be interesting to see where this leads...
At the end of the day it's all about the carriers making money. I dont see this stooping me from unlocking phones at all. Once I buy the phone, its my property to do with as I please.

Short answer is no. Long answer is that sprint verizon and some phone flashing companies want you to think that. Carriers want you to think that so that you don't take your phone and run off to another phone company with it. Phone flashing companies want you to think that so that the info isn't spread around as much how to do it. That sounds crazy but there is alot of money to be made in flashing phones especially two years ago when companies were charging 120 dollars to flash an evo to metro and well you know how much Verizon and sprint (especially) makes off you

Ok, I'll bite. I haven't looked at the new proposed legislation, but if it's anything like the 90s version -- as far as the types of weapons that would be banned -- Yes, I'm for it. Do I think it will solve all of our gun-related issues? No way, not even close. But it's a small step in the right direction IMO. It's not your 2nd Amendment right to own some of these crazy assault weapons; they're completely unnecessary. I also support banning high-capacity magazines.

Theres no release yet so you can expect a slight push back in the release now to probably unlock them now. If not they will give the information needed. If they tricked us with that statement, they know people would be even more pissed and HTC's future would be worse than Motorola's.

I was just in a sprint store at a mall here in baltimore and was talking to the manager about the free tethering on the nexus. I told him i really want the evo3d but this really has me reconsidering. He told me not so fast lol.....sprint is well aware how upset the evo community is over this and hes been hearing from corporate friends that the evo will be free also. I started another thread kind of complaining about sprint but if what he says is true man i have alot of my own words im gona have to eat come next month lol

As much as it'll irk us early adopters, I hope HTC lives up to their word and it does come unlocked.
Exclusivity is not a big deal, I rather this phone become more popular than stay on Sprint. The more people own a 3D the more attention HTC gives it (hopefully)

Not just HTC, but the device itself. If more people own the E3D there will be a higher demand for more developers to make 3D content (movies, games, and so forth), as well as a higher demand for 3D devices in the future (Next gen. EVO with quadcore processor, 3D once again, more RAM, ROM and so forth ).

I would take this with a grain of salt. I can't see Sprint allowing this to happen. This is going to be like an AndroidCentral article "Update...Looks like we were wrong" We left out a small detail etc etc blah blah. I been following the sensation forums, its been pretty active and a lot of progress is being made. It too bad our 3d forums had to suffer because people could not follow the rules. It looks like whatever is done to the sensation it compatible with our EVOs.

This will be a better question to pose 30 days from now... right now we are still in the 30-day window for launch-day purchasers. There is still a frantic effort to unlock this beast and HTC is dealing with the mass of bureaucracy that large companies with partnerships and contracts must deal with.
Obviously the sooner the unlock the better...but the 30-day window is a freebie.
As long as virus is cooking them I'm happy.....

Is it really that funny and honestly trolling how bc I rather have a better phone I can care less about dev work being on this phone it just seems like they pushed out a bit to fast to me and 3d isnt all that great and after my epic kinda fell in love with Samsung. Don't get me wrong had the first evo and the shift and personally I think Samsung makes better hardware. Is that a problem for me to say I rather have the sgs2 and its supposed to be out at the end of the month for what my phone guy told me that works a corporate so idk rumor whatever but so mean for an opinion and yes I guess I will just have to man up till then or get another phone so yea

I understand why companies want to lock the cell phones, but it shows that they don't care about power users. I don't even do that much with my phone, and it doesn't really affect me- it just seems like a big eff you to those who want to do more.
