I used CM7 nightly,but it can't play .wma music ,I know PowerAMP dose it,but I just hate 3rd apk,Can anyone give me a wma files addon package pacth?
You do realize all the little apps in Cyanogenmod ARE 3rd party apps? You're better off just converting your music to mp3. WMA is a waste of time.
.wma support
Hi, I'm a noob...
Is it possible to copy the .wma codecs from the stock rom and paste into cm7?
.

Hey i have only just purchased my Galaxy10 tablet, i have put a few songs on it but it still says in the 'music player' that there are 0 songs. I am able to listen to these songs individually in 'my files' but i cannot open anything else up (e.g. i cant listen to music while working on polaris office).
Is there something im missing that will easily fix this? or is it a problem with all the galaxy tabs.
Thanks, Nic.
Go to setting . Go into app and clear music cache/data

Also might want to make sure the music is in the place the player is looking for files. I ran into this usinga couple different players.

Moving to Q&A
I've searcehd and tried several players but have not found a solution that will allow me to play my WMV videos that are included with some DVD's or Blu Rays. Does anyone have a clear, simple solution?
Apps that include both hardware and software deconding options have not been able to play these files.
Errors such as "This file cannot be played with System Player." & others have ocurred. Usually I see an undecoded video that force closes any one of the apps I have tried. Mobi, MX, Rock, etc. None work.
Forgive the noob if this is a simple one. I have an unrooted Rezound.
Thanks!

And never feel bad about asking a question in the Q&A forums. That's what they're here for, whether you feel the question is stupid or not, it's still valid. Lord have mercy if you were to post this in development..
I have waited a TWO WAY SYNC option (FOR FLAC/APE MUSIC) for very very long time on ANDROID
Doubletwist, i-sync etc are not useful here because they are stick to Itune.
I have used many time to search but it is nothing there.
My situation is
====================
I am using FOOBAR2000 as my major player. My entire Library is FLAC and APE music with tag and organized well
I am using a Galaxy S now
What I want is:
TWO WAY SYNC from FOOBAR to ANDROID. (rating and playcount changes from the Phone can be synced back to FOOBAR)
Just LOSSLESS, don't transcode it.
=====================================
I have some ideas to search for but it is nothing
1/ Let Itune watch changes in FOOBAR (playlist, tag etc, but it is impossible) and sync to Android phone using isync or douletwist. That OK for two way sync but you need transcode all FLAC file to APPLE LOSSLESS
2/ Use Winamp, but this soft cannot have 2 way sync
====================================
Ahhhhhhhh, I just need a way to sync my lossless library to my Samsung. What the hell ANdroid only let you copy and paste music like very simple think. Music is a kind of thing that sticks to our feeling. so Smart playlist, rating, playcount should be REQUIRED for Synchronization
I have heard somewhere that we can use LAST.FM stuffs to do this function but it is very blur to get the clear method
Anyone here have a suggestion to me????

UP UP UP because nobody answers me!!!!!!!!!!!
I also would like to do that. I realize this is an old post, but the problem remains.
Alright, so I know that by asking this question that I'm about to open a can of worms, mostly consisting of comments like "Nope, can't be done" or "use [Insert media player app name here] player instead". I don't want to use other players, I'd like to have native Android decoding support for lossless WMA audio files.
Is there any way to add a WMA codec to android so that any and all apps installed on my phone can read and play WMA files? I am running LiquidSmooth ROM 4.4.2 on my Motorola XT912 (Droid RAZR), but I am posting here in hopes that an answer can be found for anyone's benefit regardless of device.
As for why I care about WMA support (as I'm sure someone might ask), a large portion of my media library is in Windows Media Audio 9.2 Lossless file format, and I am running out of hard drive space to convert my library to WAV or FLAC (the latter of which I can't get my computer to support at all - I like to have my files at lossless if possible, especially for personal archival purposes).
tl;dr does anyone have the knowledge to insert a WMA codec into the Android system?
(If I'm posting in the wrong forum someone please let me know and hopefully a mod can move it to the right location. Again, I'm posting in the general android forums in hopes that somebody else is looking for this, regardless of device)
I'd like to know the answer to this myself! It seems like a real OS would have provision for adding different codecs.
