Does anyone else have a gap between the battery door and the phone near the headphone jack and top mic? I didn't notice this before.
Yep. The entire top of the phone is not sealed as tight as the rest of the phone. Not sure if its worth it to do an exchange through Wirefly given no dead pixels or any other problems so far.

Hey I was wondering if anyone had this problem:
When I hit the power button, I heard my phone click. Some rubber piece popped out of the top of my phone where the screen connects to the phone. Now there is a small gap between top of the screen and connected point. The rubber piece is only visible around the corner... Has anyone had this problem?
My phone was never dropped, and there are no scratches anywhere on the phone showing signs of damage. Will te warranty cover this? And will Verizon give me any problems with exchanging it?
On a brighter note, it seems this problem pushed my entire screen down a bit, lol no more light leaks on the bottom...

I have heard of two or three people having their TBolt swaped out because the coating on the kickstand was starting to peal... so I am pretty sure that VZW will be willing to replace your Thunderbolt, especially when it is something significant like a rubber piece popping out that supports your screen.
So I would call customer service and report back to us what they are going to do
Yeah, what he ^^ said. Your screen falling out of the phone is pretty significant and definitely a manufacturing fault.
Anyone have any idea how to cover dent on our phones? The corner of the metal part on top near the headphone jack received the damage when my phone fell yesterday. I'll post pics as soon as I can

this could help covering it , theres a white version aswell on amazon if you have the white one.
else i can't imagine you could just draw with white color over it as this will come off easily.
Is it just me or does the GS4 seem to creak?
Ex:
(NOT WITH EXCESSIVE FORCE)
Pretend youre breaking a twig in half - grab both ends and bend the middle (VERY VERY GENTLY) and i hear a crackling noise.
take off back panel + battery, same thing - less creak (Obviously i'm thinking its my back panel)
use 2 fingers to push the top right of the phoneand you hear a small creak
Is this just me? I'm not entirely sure wether or not my phone is A) Defective or B) Warping from heat (It heats up nicely when charging)
Thanks
It's mainly plastic with a metal frame. The plastics will creak since it's not unibody.

I have done that before and it scared the s*** out of me, i thought i broke my phone, but as igacek said, it is plastic, which makes it light, so that is why you hear creaking.

I had a grain of salt in between the plastic and the metal side and it made horrible sounds. East fix for me.

Does anyone else's phone screen flex and make a creaking sound around the left hand edge of the screen, around an inch up from the bottom. No other part of the screen flexs or creaks other than this part. The rest feels solid and won t budge. Don't know if I have a faulty unit.

Just squeezed mine all the way around and not a peep out of it. I couldn't detect any movement either...
sorta sounds like your screen isn't adhering tight to the case and if that's the case i would return it.. it will only lead to problems.

i bet its the back which is not securely fastened. Hold down the little release tab and press down firmly on all sides of backing until it is locked in place.

Hello, I took the back of completely and it still does it. It's the screen flexing in the frame. It's getting booked in for a repair. HTC said the screen should be solid.

Is it the screen or the back inside right in that area? Seems like there is hollow space where there is the dock connector on the other side.

It is around that area. But to me ITs like the screen Is flexing as if it's not secured there or the frame is flexing . Hard to tell just seems a bit strange really.

Curious if anyone else has this gap??? I'm not a machinist but if you look at my GS5 laying flat on the table you can see a noticeable gap between the screen and the silver trim on the left. Now aesthetically I couldnt care less, but im wondering if this will affect the dust and water resistance... to prove I wasnt imagining things i tried to slide a business card in between the glass and the trim and it fit, when i tried the other side there was no gap. Is this normal and would my phone still be IP certified as water resistant? Just bought it yesterday so if its an issue id like to get it resolved. I have youtubed a teardown of the phone and it looks like the screen is glued down to the lip underneath the silver trim to lock out water. So if mine is flexed or bowed out Im doubting if it is sealed properly. Thanks
Andrew
I don't see any significant gap on the right side; it's the same on both sides.
Why won't you visit a local T-Mobile store if you have one nearby and compare your phone to the ones display?

I will eventually get to one to check it out but its going to be a few days, in the mean time if I could eliminate it as a concern before than it would help me eliminate the trip! Thanks for the reply!
