Can somebody explain to me why I'm still getting this damn message whenever I recieve a voicemail? Thought it had something to do with having a non stock ROM on my Evo but I'm still getting it & its still annoying as hello!

Do you have Google Voice integrated with your Sprint number? If so, it will do that. I do not use it that way. I only use Google Voice as voicemail.

I was wondering if there was anyway to get AT&T visual voice mail working on this phone.
After digging around in the skyrocket forum I was able to find this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1582270 It works, just make sure you remove the T-Mobile visual voicemail.

Anyone have used it on AT&T? Does it gave any issues with signal quality, LTE reception, MMS and/or calls?

Also, has anyone had any issues with HTC's customer service?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
While I don't use AT&T, I am pretty sure that the Developer Edition has the same hardware as the AT&T model. So you should receive an optimal experience with the two.
I've had no experience with their customer service, sorry.
I'm using the AT&T hardware converted to a Dev edition. (Same model number, but with the AT&T logo on the back.)
Everything works fine.

Running the M8 developer edition on AT&T with no issues. Can't use AT&T visual vm app, though that's not really a concern. That said wouldn't mind if I could access visual vm or google voice from the dialer app

How about LTE speeds? Are they the same as AT&T branded devices?

Speeds are exactly the same. Everything is the same, with no bloatware, and you are able to change between GSM, CDMA, and LTE in the settings if you find you need to. ATT won't let you do that.
Verizon's visual voice mail is giving me lots of problems on the G3. Well actually the same problems after the kitkat update on the G2 too. 50% of the time I get a no data connection error and have to refresh. That or turn off wifi for a while which seems to handle it better. It's a real nuisance. Anyone else see anything like this? I'm thinking it's a combination of Kitkat and Verizon.
Yes. It's horrible. Same on Droid Maxx.
My solution is perfect. Use youmail visual voicemail. And use the app better youmail. It avoids the annoying contact sync that youmail uses. And you can change every setting and then some.
The only feature that doesn't work is, if you integrate the voicemail in your call log, it will show up but you can't hit play. But if you have a notification of a missed voicemail it will play from there just fine.
Highly recommend. Worth the cost.

thx, but the reviews seem to sketchy and really Verizon should fix this.
The reviews are good from my friends and family. Just refund it if you don't like it. Trust me messages never expire

They also don't say how much it is on the play site. Is it a monthly service or one time charge?
One time charge for the app. 4.99 I think. It's worth it. No annoying contact sync that youmail app has.

The voice mail notifications seem to clear and not return whereas on my s3 cleared voice mail notifications would come back.
To me it is the worst thing about the phone. It's almost unusable. How can it be so hard to manage voice mail? This is the kind of stuff that makes me re-think iphones as an option. . . . nah.. not yet.
Seriously, it is a hand off issue I think. This should just silently fail until it gets a good enough signal. It's just amazingly annoying otherwise.
If I put in my T-Mobile sim and install their visual voicemail, it works great. Same with Cricket.

Google Voice.
By the way, I tried that Youtalk app and it was the worst piece of S I have ever tried to use. It didn't work at all. I'll just suffer through the missed data connections of the Verizon app.
Why not use Google voice?

It's a work phone and I don't want to use Google voice. I want Verizon voicemail to work correctly. If it can't work on wifi, then it should ignore wifi. It doesn't. verizon needs to fix this to work better.

I mean we are on an android OS... The beauty of android is that if your voicemail app isn't working you have tons of options in the play store for visual voicemail. I would recommend YouMail..best visual voicemail out there IMO..

Amen to youmail! Love using it with better youmail app to avoid annoying contact sync and gain extra features. Disappointed that vm call log integration doesn't work well though.
