I can open and login to Netflix, which is very laggy. I see the list of movies, but when I select a movie (Ironman2 and some old cartoon) it starts to load and just hangs on the red "NetFlix" screen with the loading message. I have 4-5 bars of signal. Any suggestions?
Using NetflixONE
First install of any Netflix
No tweaks to EVO 3D....
Thanks,
Larry
Mine workes fine and its snappy. Then again, I'm using Wifi.
Yeah, I have to try WiFi when I get home. Hopefully that's it. Still, that kind of sucks that I would experience these issues with 4-5 bars!
Either way, thanks for the reply.
Larry
Hmmmmm im using the same but in blue.... Works absolutely perfect... Even over 3G

Works for everyone else. So it should work for you. Even if you have full bars... that's just your voice connection. Maybe your data signal is weak. Do you have anything running in the background? Try a SpeedTest.
IN response to ChriChoi...
Hmm, you may be on to something. Ever since I got my phone (June 25) accessing the internet has been slower than when I was using my Hero. For instance, when opening Google, the page would load in decent time but the progress bar would take up to 35 seconds to load! Same with other sites.
As for the Speed Test, here are my results... not sure if this is good or bad
Download = 131kbps
Upload = 128kbps
Ping = 774ms
As for the Netflix apk
- NetFlixONE-HiDef1080p-RedSea-VXXX.apk
I will try the blue version. But I feel it is my data connection or possibly phone.
Update...
It was the "data" connection I had at my office. As soon as I got home and connected my wireless, Netflix worked perfectly. Thanks for all the replies fellas!

I followed jkabaseball's directions to spoof the NC as SCH-I800. Enables the streaming video, which is great. The problem I'm having is that when the stream loads, it doesn't play smoothly. What's weird is that it isn't stuttering as you would normally expect, but rather the video speeds up and then slows down.
Anyone else experienced this? If not and your streaming works fine, can you tell me your setup? Seems to be some kind of performance issue.
I've got Tablet Tweaks with OC at 1.1Ghz.
Thanks.
I sometimes get this for the first 30 seconds - 1 minute, but then it settles down.
I occasionally see what you are seeing, but not always, and it usually clears up.
For me, it seems that I can play the game video for anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes and then the screen turns white. Restarting the app doesn't usually restore it. Even rebooting doesn't seem to help.
Anyone else see this behavior? Does the app just suck or is it my device?
I am in CM7 build 41 and dalingrin's kernel 18C (but saw this behavior with previous cm7 and kernel versions), and my wifi connection is pretty fast and reliable (~16Mb ).

Would you be able to provide the link to jkabaseball's directions? I've been trying to figure out a way to stream MLB at Bat on my Nook. Thanks.
Never mind. Found it.

I am in the same boat as you. Sometimes it'll load up right away, sometimes I get 20 white screens before it loads. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when it works.
FWIW, I was able to solve the constant white screen issue.
Background: I had purchased the MLB At Bat app for my HTC Evo, so when I got the NC up and running I just went and downloaded the version in the Market that was already "purchased". This was the version that was getting me the white screen problems.
So, I uninstalled this app and sideloaded a different MLB At Bat .apk that I got from other sources. For whatever reason, this version seems to pull up the stream right away 100% of the time, although the problem I have now is that the video and audio aren't in sync (the video is a full second or two ahead of the audio).
Anyone experienced this? So frustrating!
somebody help, i have a mixture of all that. sometimes just a white screen sometimes fast then stops sometimes plays for like 4 seconds perfectly then goes to white screen with just audio HEEEELLLLLPPPPPPP
EDIT: i installed an older version of flash player and i havent had a problem yet. i attached the version thats been working for me

Thanks for posting this.
Unfortunately for me, I gave it a try without much luck. Like the other versions, I can watch for several minutes before the video freezes or turns completely white. Don't know how many restarts, wipes, retries until it finally works again.
I hope it's still working for you.
I almost hate to mention it because I'll probably jinx it, but the flash player update (v. 10.3) seems to make this work really well so far tonight.
Not sure if anyone still viewing this thread, but if you download location spoofer, and set your location to mexico (i'm using Cancun) you can view the postseason TV feed, and not just the camera angle version they give you for the postseason.
I too discovered this ability last evening. I put myself in Germany, but none the less it worked well. Too bad I didn't figure this out till the 4th inning of my game.
Hi! I bought these two amazing games (racing & getaway) over the market 10 billion offers for 10cents, but I'm having problems installing them: Neither of them will download the data files!
I thought maybe it was the polarbit servers were being hammered by the downloads, but it's been 3 days and I'm still unable to even start the download. So I attempted using my mobile network. Which is something most of you would have attempted already. But in my case...my network is limited to EDGE/GPRS connection. Which means the fastest speed I can get is around 90~100kbps on the good days. Just to make it clear, that is somewhat 11KB/s. VERY slow.
So today I tried this network to see how that worked. And it works! Its just, that at this pace, I might need a whole uninterrupted week to download the data files, and I'm afraid as soon as for some reason the download stops (changing window, for example?), I will have to restart it.
So...Do you know of any possible reason for the game to ONLY download under the mobile network? I'm using my home WIFI, and as far as I know there shouldn't be any problem.
Thank you!

Do you get some error saying that? Doesn't make any sense, i downloaded it just fine over wifi.
Yeah I know it sounds weird. Now I've left the game downloading for half hour on my super slow connection, but I think the red progress bar didn't even reach 5%.
Also, today when I attempt to download over wifi, after somewhat 30 seconds or one minute, I get an error message "Download Failed, please verify you have a working wifi connection", or something like that. Wifi works perfectly for anything else, and as far as I know, there's no kind of cap or limit.
When i upgraded to cm9 alpha 0, everything was awesome. Then a few days later i upgraded to 0.5. Everything was still ok, but i started to notice sometime the browser would hang (the bar would move across about 1 inch and then just stop). I would wait a bit, or keep trying and it would fix itself. Then it started happening more and more, and now its at the point i can't even connect to the internet! The wifi signal icon shows 50-75% wifi signal, BUT its greyed out (not blue). It says that the signal is 'good'...but it just won't connect. Any ideas what is causing this escalating wifi issue? Thanks
I installed wifi fixer on my device and I've had amazing signal. You should give that a shot.

I've tried that. It says "connected" momentarily then just says "acquiring". Does this at work and at home.

This is the second time this has happened to my Prime and I have no idea what could cause it. I found one other topic with a similar problem but no solution.
Anyway, last night, everything was working fine. Today, I get home and it connects to my WiFi just fine with full signal strength but when I go to my browser, YouTube or anything that uses the network, it says there's no connection. I restarted the tablet, hotspot and everything multiple times and it will work for a minute or so before stopping again. I haven't installed any new apps recently or made any changes to anything. Everything else on my WiFi network works perfectly.
The last time this happened, I did a factory reset on the tablet which didn't work at all. But the next day it decided to start working fine again. So we'll see if it decides to come back again, but is there any way to fix this when it does happen? Or preferably, prevent it from happening?
Could be having trouble getting an IP from your router.
Having said that the Prime's ability to maintain a connection is hopeless.
I have a Linksys E4200 which blasts a signal 100 metres across the road which my son can pick up.
I can be sitting in the next room and my Prime loses the signal from the same router.
The signal isn't the issue I don't think, it has full bars and other than these two problems, I've never had an issue with WiFi performance.
It's probably worth noting that the WiFi isn't COMPLETELY dead, once in a while, a webpage will come through. It's just that most of the time it just times out before it ever receives a page. I just did a factory reset again which did nothing to help. It timed out when trying to connect to my Google account...but worked on the second try. The Asus homepage timed out when I opened the browser, made it to Google but searching timed out. I was barely able to download TitaniumBackup from Play...just VERY slowly.
Asus tech support was useless as expected...they basically said to factory reset and if that doesn't work to RMA it. I guess if it's not working tomorrow, it's getting RMA'd...

At one point i was having similar issues. i had to delete the wifi network and recreate it to get it working. My buddy also had the issue with his droid and the only fix was to use a static ip.

Do you know how I can set it up as static IP? I'm using an Android phone with WiFi Tether as my hotspot.
It seems to be working fine for now...I'm posting from my Prime. But it worked yesterday for a few minutes then stopped again so it seems to be intermittant problems. I'm debating even sending it in for RMA because with my luck, it'll get there, work fine when they test it and they'll just send it back with no problems found with a couple of Prime-less weeks for my troubles.
Something weird though, my WiFi icon in the status bar is gray when it's usually blue. But it's still working for now...what does a gray icon mean?

gray means is connecting/scanning for wifi. it should only work when the icon is blue.

I don't think this is true. I believe blue just means the device is in current communication with google servers, e.g. syncing emails. The grey/blue is no indication of success of wifi connection as I understand it.

No, ROM. Completely stock, just rooted.
Bandin, I'm on a C4 and this happened to me about 20 minutes ago.
I was using my Epic 4G Touch ICS FE16 leaked rom using wifi tether - not sprint hotspot.
Watching Netflix
Then it suddenly stopped....said Netflix cannot make a connection.
I quit Netflix and go to main screen and i see my wifi connection is grayed out. So i go to speed test.
Speed test tells me i have connection issues.
I goto my phone and run speedtest and I come back A-OK with 7Mb.
I've even pushed the wifi button on my dock on/off. Disconnected tab from dock select wifi off.
Shut down netflix open it up doesn't work until i do a reboot...
But...this has only happened with my E4GT running wifi tether and stock ics fe16. haven't experienced it on my routers or my neighbors.
Hey everyone.
There's something I don't quite understand about the way SGS3 manages the internet connection, whether it's Wi-Fi or 3G. I've seen this same behavior on three SGS3. Let me explain.
When you're connected to Wi-Fi or 3G (or 4G), there's always two little arrows, one green and the other one orange. One is for download speed and the other for upload I guess. This means that when you're checking something that requires data, like a website, a news article on an app, searching for threads on this forum, etc, the orange arrow lights up, showing you it's downloading the data.
Well, this ends up always taking more time than necessary. I had an iPhone 4 and an iPad, and they are way faster on Wi-Fi and 3G. They don't have or show this arrows. It's gets annoying having to wait for the orange arrow to light up a few seconds after I have given the order to load a thread or email or whatever.
I don't understand why the SGS3 works this way. On the iPhone I didn't have to wait seconds for the download process to begin. It was instant. I hit a thread I want to read on tapatalk app and it downloaded the data right instantly. On the SGS3 sometimes the arrows are grey and I have to wait maybe 2 seconds or more for it to turn orange and then start downloading the data.
Why this poor performance? Is this the way Android works or only the SGS3? Because I've seen three SGS3 having this same behavior on shops.
It's annoying sometimes. For example, right now I'm gonna hit send this thread inside the tapatalk app and I will have to wait two seconds after I hit send for the green arrow to light up and then send the data.
Mine is instant. Of cos it will take a long time if the connection isn't good.

Try to do the timing test on some good sites. Sometimes, the site getting slow, or too much traffics can cause the delay. My SGS3 open sites instantly with both Wi-Fi and data line.
Lol mate... They work the same way... The difference is that the ishiit doesn't show it and the sgs3 does...
