[Q] WiMax chip frequency change

Hello,
Evo 3D uses SQN1210 WiMax chip which supports 3 WiMax bands.
Including the one I need (3.3-3.8 GHz).
I found some ways to change frequencies in 2.3 and 2.5 GHz bands.
IE:
unzipping the PC36IMG.zip file
open system.img using a hex editor program and replace each occurence of 2647000, 2657000 and 2667000 with alternate frequencies. There are 2 or 3 occurrences of each of these 3 numbers
re-zip the files into an new version of PC36IMG.zip
complete the simple root process using this new version of PC36IMG.zip
I wonder, is it safe to try this in 3.3 GHz band?
Damn, found that this is for Evo 4G...
Anyway, is there some way to change those bands?
Even if you could change the frequencies, I'm not sure what that would do for you, as the wimax on this phone can only be used with sprint towers.
Really?
As I have the GSM model...

If you could get the frequencies to work, there may be other steps. Some people have figured out how to get off of the Sprint WiMax and onto Clearwire.
Although, if you have the EVO 3D GSM, there is no WiMax radio in it. This becomes moot.

Yep, which is why I assumed you had the CDMA model.
My name is Carola and I am a Technical Support Agent for the HTC Written Team.
I understand you would like to know if Evo 3D GSM model supports Wimax beares.
I can help you with that, it does support Wimax.

I wonder if "beares" is some kind of female bear.
Maybe "bearer"...

Don't know where that came from, but the KDDI and Sprint Shooter variants support WiMax, however the gsm do not have a WiMax radio. Anyone who tells you different does not know what they are talking about.

[Q] x515a/x515m, GSM - Benchmarks wtf?

I'm deciding between the Rogers HTCRaider (vivid) and now I run into this. What are the differences between the evo models and what one does Rogers have? I would think nothing but it seems passmark is showing big differences.
androidbenchmark . net/device_list.php
HTC EVO 3D X515a
1,538
Rank: 121
HTC EVO 3D (no model?)
1,819
Rank: 51
HTC EVO 3D GSM (running ICS 4)
1,950
Rank: 23
Why such differences? And the raider is rank 40, so it's on par with the "no model" but way better than the x515?
I have purchased two Rogers evo 3d 's and both have been the X51a models. As for bench marking, I have not ever done it with stock. Both cpu's are 1.2 Ghz. I think the real difference is 3d on the evo and LTE on the raider.

[Q] Tracking stolen HTC Evo 3D

I had two HTC Evo 3D phones, one is a GSM model and the newer one is a CDMA model. Is the GSM model which was stolen from me traceable so that I can get it back? If yes, how to track it?

[Q] Moto E (2015) SAR value

Hi,
can anyone look into manual and tell me what is the SAR value of Moto E (2015 4G/LTE European version), please ?
I canĀ“t find it on the internet.
Thank you very much!
I have the US LTE variant (X1527) and the SAR values are:
Head SAR: LTE B7,WiFi,Bluetooth 1.20W/kg
Body-worn SAR: LTE B7,WiFi,Bluetooth 0.98 W/kg
If you don't mind why are you interested in this? I have never heard of it until you asked and I looked through the manual

NV Item 08322... Possible Unlock?

I was wondering, there have been 2 phones with the 08322 value that have been unlocked for domestic usage in the us. If someone could confirm that this value is universal across CDMA LTE Qualcomm devices, it would be appreciated!
