No data on revolutionRom - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I flashed the revolutionRom rc1 to my phone and it went good, but as soon as I booted back up I would have service and could text and call but I did not have data?? Why did this happen?? I have since flashed back to trigger and I am running smooth.
I am running a vibrant on att network since I am an att subscriber but I picked up a vibrant for free, would this have anything to do with the problem??
Thanks in advance

So it shows two att networks but neither one give me a data connection, wifi works but no 3g or any data for that matter. Is there a way to fix this?

data outage?

does anyone live in houston? I have not been able to get a data signal for about 4 to 5hours now and was wondering if it was my phone or an outage problem. I restarted my phone and pulled the battery but no data still. just asking to make sure it's not my phone.
running nero v3
Maybe you have it disable? Check under wireless and network, then mobile networks.

I went to check in the settings and the option 'use packet data' was not checked. I checked it and now I got my data back.

Still no way to force EDGE on Gingerbread? -_-

I'd like the option... for battery life and signal issues. Probably the only thing I don't like about the atrix. Hopefully someone can come up with a mod, or if there's one out there fill me in?

There already was in Froyo. Settings>Wireless and Network>Mobile Network>Select Network
If you want it more accessible, you can download Extended Controls from the Market and use a widget. One of the possible toggles is 2g>3g>4g toggle.

Those options were greyed out on froyo and they're also greyed on gingerbread.

And you can't toggle 3G and 4G on GSM carriers... it's basically the same thing. Same signal used for 3G is now our "4G"

Just found this, figured it would help
1)Go to dialer
2)Dial *#*#4636#*#*
3)Select Phone Information
4)Scroll down and change preferred network type from "GSM auto (PRL)" to "GSM only"
To change back, just change the setting back to the GSM Audo. Bit of a PITA compared to Froyo, but it works as far as I can tell.

Lol I actually have good signal all the time. Just some buildings block it out so I would like the option to toggle edge whenever needed...... like every other phone out there

[Q] VZN Galaxy Note 2 not working international

I"m currently in Korea. And since it's global version which is unlocked, i put in the Korean sim card. But it's not working.
It does not catch the signal. I know if i want to use the data, i have to put the APN. But it doesn't even let me use the calls or message.
Head into Settings > More settings > Mobile Networks and make sure that Network Mode is set to Global or GSM/UMTS. If its on LTE/CDMA it won't pick up any signal.

Unable to connect to Internet via mobile network

My Amaze is unbranded and rooted, I'm currently using T-MOBILE ICS stock RUU on it.
Whenever I try to connect to the internet it says 'Connection Failed' even though I have turned on the Mobile network. Anybody know a solution to this issue?

You need to edit your apns. Go to voice dialer, say open apns, then enter the correct one for your carrier. I would look up your carrier name and it's apn settings on Google. Once you enter and set them, you should be good.

Koolman, try these APNs. They're for your carrier. They should fix the data issue, if they don't, call your carrier.
Your carrier is Warid, right? Enter these APNS. :good:
