I tried to install a custom rom on my x10 mini using x recovery and the phone fully rooted, I downloaded a 2.2 custom rom to my sd card entered xrec and after backing up my stock rom installed the new one, when finished the phone shut down automaticly and restarted but froze on the white sony ericsson logo (writing only no image) for about 30 seconds or so then shut down and restarted, and the same again and again untill battery is drained. I tried to use seus but it gets to about 49% then says failed , I then tried flash tool wich tries to send the first file and frezzez until I unplug the phone and I am still left with the same problem this also happens when I try to charge the phone. Please please please can somebody help I will be most greatfull thanx

That is called a bootloop, so first use SEUS in order to restore the original SE eclair and then try again.
Forgive me if I'm wrong but, isn't your phone a Mini Pro, 'cause your tapatalk signature says U20i and that's a Mini Pro, if it is you gotta download a Mini Pro ROM, a Mini ROM won't work on your phone.
No my friend diffrent phone the x10 mini wont do anything and for some reason I can put the phone in flash mode and use SEUS but it says failed when it reaches 49%. So I cant restore the stock rom. Any other ideas would be helpfull and I shall try SEUS again thanx

I have faced exactly the same problem in my x10 mini. What I done is, drained the battery that the phone can be switched off, then charged the phone for 15 minute (It remains off). Then I flashed the phone with Flash Tool not SEUS. Now it is alright.
Downloading stops or installing stops?
Before flashing make following steps :
1. Full Wipe,
2. Wipe Cache Partition,
3. Clear cache,
4. Clear dalvik cache.
Then flash the Rom. It will normaly work.
Just plug in your phone with usb cable to the computer and let it charge for two or more hour . By the time you shouldn't do anything with your phone . And also dont run seus . Let the phone be charged sufficiently . During this time the phone would not turn on and you can do nothing with your phone during this time. You will only see the red led . After two hours of charging disconnect and run seus and Follow the onscreen instruction. I followed the above mentioned procedure and I got my mini back .

I tried -everything- found, to try and get to boot into xrecovery. I saw someone fixing it by reinstalling, and first deleting xrecovery within /local/tmp/ so I did that. At the second I deleted the xrecovery folder with RootExplorer phone crashed. Now it's permanentely stuck at Sony Ericsson-logo screen.
PC Suit offers no help since I can't boot the phone it claims it's not connected.
I downloaded "Omnius for SE" but I don't understand it's usage, since I don't have backup of my phone..
Can anyone help me out please, I'm scared
try to get your phone working again with SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service), you can download it from the SE site.
I'm an android-newbie, but afaik you will loose your personal data.
Thanks! I will try that out today at work. Will post how it's going
it is working methot i have used it for my x10 mini pro

you should time accurately rebooting, holding the back bottom and connecting
you'll get it after a couple of tries

when I used SEUS after bricking my phone it rebooted constantly without allowing me to break in^^ my solution to this was disconnecting the battery (which actually is pretty easy) then I could make another reflash with SEUS, and then I had a working phone
So i was trying to flash basebrand .55 from basebrand .54 onto my x10 using the 0.2.9.1 flashtool and then it said error turn on usb debugging. When i go to turn it on my phone doesnt start back up. I tried flashing the 2.1.1.435 firmware to see if i could fix it somehow but it gets stuck on "Flashing loader" then says to turn on usb debugging? Am i screwed here. I cant boot my phone!
Try doing a repair through SEUS. It will say that you have the latest firmware, but install it anyway.
just reflashed the basebrand again. It seems to work now? Thank goodness it it did bc SEUS couldnt read it. Thank you though =)
Hmmm....everything is working smoothly...but my battery is increasing slowly? instead of decreasing(it is not plugged in!)...should i be concerned i just wiped battery stats and its still increasing
It's a glitch that will correct itself, once your battery gets to its actual level it will start to decrease again.

Try wiping battery stats via x recovery.

hi guys. my x10 froze at se boot and does nothing. i've read through almost all helpfull threads that are similar to my problem but the problem still persist. fyi, i booted to xrecovery, made a backup and i noticed that there were problems in backing up (md5 chcksum, i think). but the backup file was created. i restored using that file and now it is stuck at boot. i can't even turn the phone off. i've tried hard reset, tried using the sues, flashtoo and even pc tools but to no avail. this is due to the phone can't connect to usb. can anyone please help me.
You have do a factory reset and wipe cache?
how can i do that andres3d? are there any way for me to do that? i'm trying but the phone just can't go past the se boot. it's just stuck there. i can't even turn the phone off. the only way is to take out the battery.
Try this, enter into xrecovery and select "factory resect" first at all, then reboot.
I got stuck there too, and I haven't the xRec installed
You can download the SE Update Service (SEUS) and flash the original rom back to it.
Download the software and install, take off the battery, wait a little bit (30s or so), insert the battery back. DO NOT TURN ON THE PHONE YET.
Open the SEUS, choose the phone (X10) and click 'go', or 'ok', or whatever. Keep going and the software will tell you to plug the phone. Plug the phone turned off. When it's plugged, turn it on holding the back button until the software tells you to release.
Wait a few moments... and it's done. Turn on your phone, it should take a little longer to boot, but it's just the first time, then it boots normally.
It's quite easy to do when you know what to do
thanks in advance but i've tried both method and it still got me nowhere. first, i can't boot to xrecovery at all and second, the sues doesn't even detect my phone.
Did you try download a stock firmware from here and install by flashtool?
Do you have installed drivers from x10 to your PC?
I thing the only way is by flashtool, because you don't have xrecovery access l.

Your phone must be charged ¬¬

Hi all
Unfortunetly my case is 99% similiar as "Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10XPERIA X10 Q&A[Q] {HELP} another x10 stuck at se boot" but changing the cables doesn't help. The only thing which the phone respond is to hold back starting of booting what immidietly happening when i'm connecting the usb cable.
I had xrecover installed before but is not starting onto flashing mode.
Any ideas
Hey,
I'm afraid I managed to somehow brick my X10 (although I know you all say that's impossible). But here's the problem:
My phone is on the cyanogenmod 6.1 (gingerbread), and was working perfectly fine for over a few months. But two weeks ago he suddenly went off, and I can't restart him. I think the phone freezes the moment the boot loader should load android. Because when I press the ON button, the LED flashes green, and the phone vibrates (as it would normally do), but then nothing! And the phone doesn't respond to anything else I do then. The only thing I can do is take out the battery, put it back in, and were back in the beginning stage
I tried to repair with SEUS and PC Companion. When it asks to plug in flash mode (plug in while holding the back button), I do so, and the PC recognizes the phone. But when it tries to repair, I get an error after a while. The progress bar shows no process at all, so I think the error is a time out error, because the phone is frozen.
I don't know what to do any more know, and I'm not really looking foreword to buying a knew phone already! So I hope you guys can help me!

Have you tried flashtool? Its worth a shot.
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
Tried, but I don't seem to find an entire rom to flash. Most roms I find are .zip or .7z, and those files don't contain an .ftf file.
Do know were I could find one?
Im on my phone now so I cant post a link, but search for "flashtool firmwares" in the devs section. It will take you back to stock 2.1 (Or 2.3 depending on the firmware you get)

Tried Flashtool, but no succes! It says "Error Flashing. Aborted". No luck with that! But thanks anyway!
There must be some other way I can repair my phone..
i have exactly the same problem with my x10i, it only vibrates continuously but won't boot,
i tried everything, flashing with generic firmwares 1.6, 2.1 and 2.3.3 and repair using PC companion and SEUS still nothing ( i make sure that i have 50% battery before flashing)
when flashing it enters flash mode without even pressing the back key, when hooked to charger green LED lit immediately as if (flash mode)
i taught it was the LCD but i tried to use another xperia x10i motherboard and the LCD works fine (i have 2 xperia x10i btw)
any help will be much appreciated.
use the search option on this forum!

Hi guys, sorry if there is already a thread about this but I'm travelling at the moment and don't have the time/wifi/computer to browse fully.
Anyway, my problem is my friends SE xperia x10 (not be mini or pro) had this problem where out of nowhere the Internet app just crashed as soon as it opened, and wouldn't even wait for you to click on the buttons for the error message, that just closed. Thinking it was probably just a ram error or whatnot, I rebooted it.
So now the phone turns on, goes passed the white SE logo onto the boot logo, and there it remains in a loop. I've tried looking around with Google and on here, but I can't seem to find the answer... I think.
The room isn't custom, it's just the stock branded gingerbread from virgin Australia.
It will connect with Flash tool, but it says usb debug is off, which I can't change, but on the current computer I've gained access to to I don't think it has MTP drivers so not sure if that would effect it.
I have also installed the companion suite, not useful.
Also installed the SEUS software, which I've had to do all of in safe mode cos the computers are slow as anything and have administration protection.
So, any advice would be awesome at this point. My friend wants to keep whatever is on there currently like her photos and contacts so on, but if there is no other way I'll have to re flash it if I can.
Any help greatly appreciated guys, thanks
Pictures are on SD Card, and they are safe. If he/she didn't backup Contacts earlier, they will be,for sure, erased with flashing new Rom.
If that phone was rooted, and have Xrecovery, than download some Rom (for flashing with Xrecovery), and put on SD Card. Then reboot in Xrecovery, first wipe everything (factory, cash), go to Partition Menu and Format System, Data and Cash. Then go back to Main menu, and choose Install custom zip from SD Card, find your downloaded Rom, and flash it.
If you don't have Xrecovery, or abovementioned solution didn't helped, I think that only solution is to reflash Stock Rom again with SEUS. If you can't use SEUS with your PC for flashing, find another PC.
