Anyone know a way to get around the unlock pattern on the optimus s? My sons in trouble and I wanna know what's goin on. Any help appreciated... Thank-you...

Try to enter wrong pattern few times and then you will be able to enter your password of gmail account and create new pattern.
It wants his account info and he's not here.... Tried mine no dice...

Well, without his account, it obviously will not work. You need to get that info unless you want to do a factory reset

Every time I try to access the Wimax setting, it closes on me. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
It's your version of epst. Mine is EPST 2.3.4 you should be able to find it here on xda..... Sorry don't have a computer near me to upload the apk.

Lol Well I'll be damn. The thing WAS turned on when I was trying to access it. Problem solved!
Ok guys my lcd was going out today and i tried to return to stock rom. I flashed the boot.img from my stock evo3d rom and tried tp restore my nand from cwm touch. it restored but stayed at a black screen just after the htc image. i think its a kernel issue but it has gotten worse now. I used to be able to get into the bootloader but now i cant, if the phone rarely powers on, it bypasses the bootloader while holding the required buttons for it and goes right to the main shell where it will only show a black screen after the white htc screen. Any ideas? im thinking it isnt hard bricked since it will power on.... any advice is appreciated

Are you s-on? If s-on pls try relocked with HTC dev, and run RUU, I have same problem before this and It's working for me.

You didn't pull the battery did you? And you are for sure that you don't have issues with the down volume button?
close your phone and remove battery for a second. then try to enter bootloader again

I just said **** the phone and bought the ltevo retail! Suddenly, when I was away from a pc to fix my damn 3vo it gone turn on and go to bootloader.... BULL****! Thanks for all your help guys

Hi everybody ..... I had problem with my evo 3d too ...i was having some problem with it and i diceded try to install the jelly belly room and when i flashed it stay in the htc white screen .... please help .. and i cant backup because before tried to install jelly bean, i made a format factory and the backups rooms just disapears..

Can you give us more information such as what recovery your using, what hboot you are on, s-on or s-off status, hell even cdma or gsm lol.

Ok so i downloaded MIUI from Miuiandriod.com and was aware of this SIMTOOL KIT ERROR so my dear cousin decided Titanium Backup could get rid of the issue ...well it did but when i restarted the phone now i get no service

Wiping Andriod SYSTEM
Flashing PJ75IMG to the root

nothing still no service it stays with no bars i just got my MSL and am an on original ship ruu and in the MDN AND MSID it just says NO ...so i enter the correct numbers and it reboots but still comes backs on with NO as the info ...i think my evo is a tad upset with me

I have become worried that you can factory reset the phone from the bootloader without a password and (naturally) delete all partitions on recovery without a password.
This could be an issue if it is stolen and the person knows how to access these areas. Is there a way to password protect access to them?
I have the default bootloader (unlocked) and 4EXT recovery.

i don't think that there is such thing exists as password protected recovery or boot loader,but if you come to asia, especially in india,you can find many magicians here
they could spell some curse on your device so it would be protected or the person who try to steal it would suddenly become a goat
apart from all that,it would be awsome if there is some kind of tool for your problem..

hopefully someone picks up on this problem.
Its probably pretty risky to flash(?) a custom bootloader (if even possible).
Until then I'll just have to start saving up for a trip to India ;p

I need to bypass the pattern lockscreen. The device isn't rooted, and I'm hoping there's a way to get past it. Cmon, XDA geniuses...!!!
This shouldn't be in this section but the only way I can think of is to boot to bootloader and factory reset

Yes you can root as long as fastboot is unchecked in settings. But you will lose all your data rooting.
Do you just not remember your password?
