##Data# Error - HTC EVO 3D

Every time I try to access the Wimax setting, it closes on me. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

It's your version of epst. Mine is EPST 2.3.4 you should be able to find it here on xda..... Sorry don't have a computer near me to upload the apk.

[Q] Any way to force PRL update on Thunderbolt?

I'm trying to get the latest Verizon PRL so I have the best shot of getting 4G on the current pre-alpha CM7 build. Search has yielded no way of forcing a PRL update, though. Most threads say just wait for it. Anyone know of an alternative method?
Reboot. That's the only way. U can't dial #228 or whatever its different. Reasons? It has a similar card its a lot different then phone that don't have sim cards. :/

Thanks I already was aware of that. I rebooted multiple times today and am still on 15008 though. Oh well. I'm wondering if running the leaked radio might be my issue in getting the new PRL...

i'm on stock radio and still haven't gotten an update myself.....but i'm pretty sure the leaked one will not receive it.

In a Sense-based ROM open the dialer, enter ##778#, then hit dial. Choose view mode in the menu that comes up, then scroll down to PRL and click that. Your current PRL will be listed at the top.

Go to the dialer and hit ##3282#, put in your msl, click on EVDO --> hit preferred mode --> change from CDMA only to automatic if different. Commit changes and reboot.

Recommit. Maybe it could be a glitch. We'll keep searching for other solutions in the meantime. Another ROM maybe?
What prl are you on? I know you said you downgraded, but maybe it didn't take? The latest prl sent out by Sprint is causing this issue for everyone.
Wat prl r u currently on? If its 58080 or somethin its a 1xrtt prl that is blocking ur 3g. U need to revert back to 21080. Search the 3d forum for instructions. Sprint pushed out a bad prl! Still havent fixed it. This works for unrooted phones as well.

Well I guess nobody wants to tell you the obvious… so I will take a stab at it.
Stop tethering. Because they obviously know you are doing it.
The answer is in your picture. “call 800-cricket”
By the way, you will not be able to get away with tethering on cricket, because apparently they are monitoring the data packets you transfer over their network and looking for UTP headers.
Try PDA net or wireless tether. Can't guarantee they will work but give it a shot. Also here's a link that might help
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1226225
Also here's one more, hope it helps

How do I change prl on ics without a pc?

Ok so ##775# no longer works and I'm away for the weekend where I only roam and service is God awful... I'd like to flash another prl for the weekend. Any ideas? I don't have a gb rom or backup to use on me either. If I'm screwed, then oh well and I can wait until I'm back home.

i was wondering the same thing a little bit ago. ##775# doesnt work on ICS..which sucks. hope someone can answer this one.
Have you tried to change the EPST.apk that has the ##775# option?
Have you looked into using the older epst.apk with more options? I believe the one from the EVO 4G?
Dang, I'm too slow... DarkManX4lf beat me lol
Actually yes, I did try an older epst. Doesn't work. I actually just downloaded a sense 3 rom over night (speed under 100 kbps) and crossed my fingers it didn't time out. Flashed that, installed my older epst app, installed my prly, and went back to ics... Still curious about an easier way but hey I got it going. Thanks for the suggestions though.

I use QPST, just hook up phone and push prl (after you setup QPST). but that seems to be the easiest way for me...

Don't you need a pc for that? That's what I would have tried if I had access. But thanks.

Been looking for solution myself on ICS, but as you found out EPST does not work. Since I don't always have access to a PC that has all of the QPST stuff installed I just load up a back up of a GB ROM and change it, then go back to my ICS ROM.

cricket phone.apk fix for ICS?

is there a way to put this phone.apk onto an ICS rom? im on cricket wireless and the voicemail doesnt work native for the rom im on. its the MIK zrd3 rom.

+100
I'm on cricket as well, what do you mean native voice mail doesn't work? Is it set up with your phone number in the phone settings? I've always just used Google Voice, way better IMHO.
I mean when I person leaves a voicemail it doesn't leave a icon at top. I just gotta call my voicemail every now and then to make sure there isn't one.

Oh, ok. yeah I've always used GV. Have you tried pushing that phone.apk to system and reboot? Does it work?
yea i did a nandroid and pushed it. when i rebooted the phone process just kept giving me FC and it was so unusable that i had to go back to my backup. i know it dont work now..lol.
Yeah for awhile I just thought no one was leaving me voicemails till one day I called just to check and my voicemail was full...lol. when you pushed it did you sweet the permissions to rw-r-r?

my file manager auto makes the system rw-r-r..its an option. so yes it does get the permission it needs to write over.
I know you probably want to use the native voicemail, but take a gander at this. Later today I will try and see what is going on with the phone.apk. Can't guarantee anything, but at least take a look at GV, its is awesome.

Did you dial the correct number to set it up? Its different then what GV tells you. I've been using it for a while now, and never had any problems.

Yeah I used the right # even tried getting a new one stroll no go. I'll play with it later
I meant when it tells you to dial the *28XXXXXXXXXX cricket is different. You also need to make sure you have call forwarding on your plan, but most if not all do.

hopefully you can get this figured out, because I am on Boost, and I have also tried to push a phone.apk that had working voicemail notifications before I upgraded to and ICS rom, and I had the same problem with force closes, and unstability.... I have tried google voice, but unfortunately at this time, GV does not support boost....
