I am getting random force closes with sense on my evo 3d. It says the message "The application HTC sense (process com.htc.cs) as stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
I believe ive narrowed it down to be a problem with htc sense sync. When i turn off sync the message dosent appear. But of course when i turn it on and say to sync all i get the message.
I was hoping it was just a problem on htc's end but its been happening for about a week now. Ive done two factory data resets but the message comes back when i setup sense sync.
This is my 2nd evo 3d, the first one i returned because of a pinhole next to the button pad the would let light through so trying to avoid calling sprint.
anyone else have this problem?
I have not really used Htc Sync but my suggestion is to just wait to see if in the next update they fix it. It's not worth taking the phone back.
thanks for the reply, I guess ill wait it out but would be better to know if someone else if having the problem.

Hey guys, so I've been using Android for a while and had to preserve battery so I restart to enter wm, did it hundreds of times without problem so it worked fine. Was half way through writing a text on the sense messaging app when the battery dies. Ever since the when I turn the phone on it tries to load HTC sense, fails, tries again two more times then a message comes up saying tap to load HTC sense, literally the only thing that could have affected it it the battery dying in the message app, any thoughts? Tried turning sense off and on with no luck

Hi, I don't know if anyone else had experienced these problems, but I'm having strange sense force closes every time I restart the phone. It gives me time to put the sim card and screen passwords, works for about 30 more secs and then f**ks up... Same thing happens over and over even after a factory reset, I've probably sent more than 10 reports to htc already. On top of that, today - two more things happened: the clock on the top right corner next to the battery icon just stopped at 1:57 although the screen one was working fine. It started working again after a restart (and another sense force close), and finally - when I turned on the WiFi, the 4g icon didn't disappear, so now I have both icons in the notification bar...
I haven't tried to root it, neither have I unlocked the bootloader. It's the way I got it + several more apps. Anybody else having the same or similar issues?

Swap it out at tmo. You should still be in your 14 day return period.

First hour I had my phone it reset/reboot 4 times while I was playing with it. It was stock, didn't restore my backup from my Vibrant. After the 4th reset, I packed it up and decided to exchange it at Tmo. I then decided to do a factory reset. After that, the phone worked fine without any weird reboots. 3 days later, I downloaded the HTC software update. As soon as the update was done, I messed around with the phone and it reset twice on me. I exchanged it the next day. My new one works perfectly! Go exchange it!
I think I may have found the reason for the Sense force closes:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1183877
I was using Juice Defender Ultimate... Since the clock and the Wifi/4G icons are part of the Sense interface, perhaps this app is the reason for the other problems as well... What bugs me though is that my girl's Amaze is also running the same app with no problems whatsoever...
So i have had this phone for 2-3 days and it seems like it will turn off sync by its self. I have to keep turning it on every time i want to see if i have mail or hit the refresh button which is very annoying. Im hoping someone can help me on what to do? Thank you Maskofdj
Hi guys,
I am having a very frustrating problem with my S3. I had the google.process.gapps stopping randomly for a few days, but that wasn't more than an annoyance. Last night, my battery run out and when I plugged my S3 it in and turned it on, all hell broke loose. Starting with the lock screen I have been getting non-stop "Unfortunately X has stopped" with X being anything from LogsProvider, NfcService, ContextProvider, SysScope and the already mentioned google.process.gapps. As long as I stay on the lock screen I can click these away...eventually. If I try to go into Settings or in the normal screen I get another batch of those messages, but this time the SysScope one, just keeps coming and coming and coming, so that I can't do absolutely anything. I have tried the same in Safe Mode but there wasn't any change.
Please tell me there is something I can do, other than a factory wipe.

Do a factory wipe.
As above, try a wipe first -but letting your battery run out can corrupt a partition. You may need to reflash your firmware.

Hi, I don't know if anyone has come across this before, I can't find any relevant threads.
When I open the phone, message or calender app, they automatically close after 5 to 10 seconds with no message. I havereset the phone to as it was when it left the factory for them to work again.... Then after a few weeks it happens again. I have not installed any new apps so don't know how to solve.
Vodafone say send the phone for repair but they will reset it first which will cure the problem. It must be software related!
Thanks
Chris
