Ok here is what happened.
1. I bought a Verzion Samsung Fascinate with a bad ESN on eBay.
2. I then took it to my local CricKet store to have a full flash done on the phone.
3. Everything worked but the txt messaging.
4. I did *228, and still everything still worked but, the txt.
Ok now this is where it goes to crap!
5. I then downloaded and updated my prl using the QPST flashing tool once the phone rebooted, nothing worked. when I tried to make a call it would say "if you would like to place a collect call dial your carriers toll free number".
6. i took it back to the CricKet store they tried to do a re-flash but in doing so, now when I try to dial a call there is no tone, it just looks as if it is dialing then after about 30 sec gives a beep and ends the attempt.
7. So I then tried both Odin, and Heimdall to restore it back. Everything works but the dialer, I have downloaded several dialers from the market with no luck. I need help. Please!!
This is the thread I used to try to flash back to working order.

Here is what happend:
So this is my sisters phone and Im trying to fix it for her. The phone was locked when our little sister failed to open it too many times (my sister had the graphical lock enabled). My sister then took it to a phone store which managed to fix the lock (updating it from 1.6 to 2.1) but in the same process they somehow managed to make the phone block calls and text. They told her that it had "been blocked"..?
She after that she cant send or receive texts, cant make or receive calls but she can surf via 3G.
What is wrong?
Here is what I've tried:
I'm a big andriod noob since Im a iphone user but I can use google and I've jailbreaked/unlocked iphones many times.
So I've tried both to re-flash (with flash tool) the phone and to restore it with SEUS. None worked. First after using the Flash tool the phone got stucked in a boot-loop. At this points I tried SEUS but it would just get stuck and then tell me that the restore had failed. At last I managed to get back into a working phone when I went down to 1.6 using ROOT_F3V3 (I dont know if I did the whole flash procedure right but right but when it was done the phone started fine but the text and call issues persisted). So then I tried SEUS again and this time it worked so now I got a fully updated and restored phone. BUT STILL: it cant text, make or receive calls. Is there any next step? Any method which I haven't tried yet? I stumbeled upon something called xRecovery. Could that help me? Or is the phone pretty much bricked...
Please help me

Try it with a different sim card to make sure that it's not something related to the mobile account.

Go to Settings > Wireless settings stuff > mobile provider > Choose your network manually
I dont know how it's called, in english because my phone is in dutch. But somewhere there you can choose manually a network.

Hello I am completely stock and I am on red pocket. I am having trouble sending Pictures, I get a server response error and it wont send. When i receive I get a link through att to open the pic but wont open unless on wifi.... anyone have a fix or ever had this problem?
You need to enter the correct APN for Red Pocket.
Right. Half the APN settings are about mms.
I use the red pocket configurator
I usually use the red pocket configurator from play store and it works flawlessly... I have entered manually and doesnt send I get server response error.. I have reverted to stock G.B everything. and still no go I have flashed every radio on here and still no go.. I have been able to use it before. I flashed a modem off of a skyrocket which had s.t apn which is the same only thing When booted it would freeze.. So i flashed to stock everything.I dont know what else to do unless i jacked it up for good... my next step is flash a rom with a radio and then flash an older radio then go back stock.. any other tips greatly appreciated
Flash the radio you want two times with a reboot in between. These notes can be stubborn sometimes with modems.
I have the Sprint Galaxy S2 ff18 model 4.0.4 ics
I just rooted my phone via this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1721229
that worked great!
I then installed the Clockwork Mod Restore via this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342728
that was easy...
everything worked fine, no problems. I followed instruction to the t.
then I tried to install Google Now via this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29756226#post29756226
I used the first version mikeyXDAversion 6 offline/online
I followed all those instruction. If i may note , the folder en/us in /system/usr/srec/ and find two folders named "config" and "en-US"
that was inside of config, so at first i only checked to make sure "config" was set up properly and it already was.
so i went back to GNOW
It opened, i hit "im in"and ...it closed... and never opened again.
then i played around and found the en/us
i checked that. it was correct.
nothing..
i decided to install the google now to search file in that post and that messed up the phone! no voice search , it freezes, no voice to text, nothing...
i tried installing the online only version. following the same steps. nothing. google now is still there but doesnt open.
finally i gave up went to the CWM and did a factory reset. Still no voice features.
i backed up my contacts on samsung kies so im not too worried but how do i get the old stuff out and put the voice search back in action.?
HELP
Hi guys,
A month ago my phone got stuck on Samsung's bootscreen (I was using CM10.2). I tried to restore a nandroid backup but the recovery wasn't able to mount /data, so I had to restore my phone via odin flashing official firmware. Then /efs was corrupted so I lost my IMEI (0049...), therefore I wasn't able to connect to the mobile network (no calls, no data connection...) and I hadn't a backup for that (yes, really dumb). Yesterday I took it to a repair service from a mobile store (definitely not the official one) and they restored my old IMEI number, as I can check it comparing the one behind my battery and the one shown dialing *#06#. But it still doesn't connect to the network, only emergency calls. When I try to call, it displays a message that says that it isn't registered in the network, and if try to register it manually, a toast notification displays saying that it's registered but another one in the notification bar says that the network it's not available.
Things that I've already done without success:
- Back up and restore /efs (kTool).
- Flash CM10.2.
- Flash official firmware.
- Tried with other's SIM (mine works fine in other phones).
Any thoughts? clues? anything that cross your minds? I need to bring my S3 back to life and I don't really know where to begin the research (I googled like hell, though).
I'll appreciate any contribution (even if it's just a description of how network connecting works at low level, codes to check, etc),
Thank you (and please forgive my poor english).
Try patched modern and kernel, if that doesn't work then take it back to your repair store.

Thank you for the quick response, I'll give it a try right now!
EDIT: It worked, thank you!!
I'll explain for others. I had CM10.2 before repairing it following the instructions of boomboomer. I've downloaded the firmware I9300XXUGMK6 from here and flashed it with Odin v3.04. After this, I had to get root again and flash cwm recovery (CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4 with Odin). Then just flashed the two files listed on this post. Now it works again.
Hi Everyone!
Here's the back story. I have an unlocked note 2. I've been using wilsons ROM for over a year and decided to switch to Cyanide a couple days ago.
Download all the files, everything went fine during install. Booted up normally. Got everything set up. Great right!? Everything was until I unplugged the phone from the charger and it started playing a notification and would not stop. So I rebooted the phone and from that moment on the phone will not see the cellular network. Data is there, and I can send and receive messages, but I cannot dial out or receive calls.
I've gone to VZW and picked up a new SIM - same result.
I've tried restoring backups - same result.
I've odin'd back to full stock out of the box condition - same result.
Unlocked the bootloader again and tried reflashing the ROMs and the same result.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Could it be a hardware issue? Change antennas?
** Cliffs - Unlocked bootloader Note2 - Installed Cyanide, set everything up, rebooted and lost cellular network connection. Flashed all the way back to stock, nothing changed.
Any advice is welcome. I'm stumped as to why it's not working but data is.
Thanks in advance.
