Hello,
Is it possible to use the "HTC EVO 3D - Schwarz" from this site http://digitec.ch/ with a normal sim card from any provider (example FL1 (Liechtenstein)).
Please just use the search function to search for "HTC EVO 3D - Schwarz" and check under Details if it might work.
Thanks a lot,
Mettler Nikola
Unfortunately, the phone does not support SIM cards at all.
That seems to be the GSM model. However I'm am unsure if it unlocked. It also looks like a pre-order.

Dear All,
May I use of foreign SIM card (Taiwan) in HTC Thunderbolt? How to do that?
Thanks in advance.
Black
I'm pretty sure its for lte services only
I may be wrong but we won't have a answer till its out
Besides it doesn't have the necessary radios for a gsm network

No you can not.
So dejected........
Thank you all....^_^
I'd really like it to be true that LTE phones are automatically global and have been searching for the answer. Sadly that's not the case but there is some hope because the rest of the world will eventually use the LTE tech for their 4g as well. It's not yet known which form of multiplexing they'll use(frequency division or time division) but there's a chance that everyone will use the same in the future so don't lose all hope.
In theory. See my other thread I'm about to post.
According to the training only 4g Lte Verizon cards are compatible. If you have a 4g modem with sim you can use that or another 4g phone but other regions/companies are not compatible out of the box.

Hi, id like to know if the Photon 4G is CDMA or GSM with a Sim Card Slot? because im about to buy one from amazon and id like to know if it is one or both and how to recognize which one is it
It is both, it uses the sim for GSM and uses CDMA without the sim. You cant use a domestic sim for GSM, for now atleast.

Meaning you can't take a sim card from AT&T or another GSM provider within the US and plug it into Photon and expect it to work. Its locked out for GSM in the US. It works internationally though.
The 4g is Wimax !!!

LOL I totally had that typed out ready to post before I reread and saw that he meant the phone and not specifically the 4g. Unless I just misinterpreted that completely lol, which would make it the second time

I have just bought an unlocked Sprint unit from ebay, hoping to use the GSM slot for my primary pre-paid line in Nigeria, and the CDMA slot for one of the CDMA providers in Nigeria as well. I plan to take the unit to be programmed into a CDMA network in Nigeria; that will cost me about US$50. Meanwhile, I successfully rooted and flashed ParanoidROM JB, but I saw that it showed no GSM signal at all with the JB ROM, so I restored the original GB 2.3.5 Nandroid backup. There seems to be very little documentation on how the dual system works. Will I be able to use both the CDMA and GSM together, in a dual-standby fashion, in Nigeria?
I flashed the KDDI radio and cm10 and have used my MoPho on T-Mobile.
Don't forget to thank all who help!

He was being sarcastic (hence the head bang smiley). There isn't a way to make a CDMA phone sim card compatible.

with Tapatalk 2 it will work?I do not know enything about anroid phones so sorry bothering you.....
thanks a lot...
What your asking is impossible mate, you may possibly be able to take the phone apart and see of its possible to switch to a gsm network simcard, but then you will also need to convert system ril files to gsm ones, then switch cdma cid with your country and carrier gsm cid, aswell as the gsm radio/firmware but, even then its not guaranteed to work, what you have in retrospect is an iPhone 4 with the features of an ipod touch 3rd gen
See if you can trade on eBay or similar cdma straight swop for a gsm
is there a way to make it work in greece then or not?
I am sorry guys.....i am an idiot i know but i love this phone from the moment i got it into my hands.....
Final answer is no no no
Signature (Don't ask me for help, couldn't careless if your phone explodes)

I don't think you can, cdma and gsm handle the radio waves needed differently so a cdma phone can't access a gsm network
Or you could move to the united states and then your phone will work

The HTC EVO V 4G is a variant of the CDMA EVO 3D from Sprint, that is made for Virgin Mobile's network (really Sprint's) in the US. These phones are CDMA only, not GSM, and therefore do not use a SIM card. If your plan is to use this phone on a GSM network in India, you cannot, sorry.

It's not a matter of unlocking, but you can flash or re-provision it. There are users on here that use the CDMA on Reliant, but I don't know how to do it. Google will have to be your friend on that one.
Hello,
My dad recetly retired his GS3 SCH-530C. He originally bought from Cricket (a US carrier) and is compatible with 4G LTE speeds. As some of you may know, Cricket was recently aquistioned by AT&T, so now they use AT&T Networks and use SIM cards. Cricket used to be a CDMA carrier when the GS3 came out but now is a GSM carrier. The GS3 in question is a CDMA however it has a slot for a SIM card so I am not sure if its compatible with the-now-GSM Cricket. Currently, the phone has a blank SIM card replica installed but has no use. So in case you're confused: Is the GS3 SCh-530C compitible with a GSM network?
