Hello everyone, is there an application to schedule airplane mode to set it on or Off at specific time ?
For example i want to turn off radio at 11:00 pm every night and turn it back on at 9:00 am next day.
Thanks
A market search shows many, here's a few:

Didn't test any personally though.
In second link app is incredible simple an good, give it a try.

Hey,
I recently flashed a new radio.. but found the reception was slightly worse & wouldnt sent text messages even when there was reception. So i flashed back to my older radio..
However, the calendar now tells me its 1980 i go to the time and date settings, and it has get settings from operator checked...
Anyone know how to fix this? I even tried flashing back (again) to the new radio.. and i get the same issue!
Appreciate any help

i fixed the problem by first unchecking "get time from network provider" and setting the time & date manually. Exited the menu, went back into time an date settings, turned on "get time from network provider" and it seems to work fine now
Hope that helps!

I guess it's just because you have already set it manually and the syncing doesn't change your settings (cuz it doesn't work at all).
To prove me wrong, we could try manually set your time to 5 minutes ahead, then check that syncing option, and see if it correct itself automatically.

Have you tried what I said?
Sent from my HTC Hero using XDA App
Yeah you're right, i set the time forward 5 mins... and it didnt change back automatically Not sure if its the rom, or radio causing the problem here....
Oh well, i can live with it using my manual time... the only time i will have to **** with it when we change from daylight savings..
Luckily we don't even have this summer time thing in China

Is anyone else having this issue? Every time I wake the phone from sleep I see the wifi with no bars, then a second later it is full again. I found a thread where One X users were reporting the same issue. I have it set to always on and even have checked the increase wifi performance check box as well.
Also, sometimes using the bookmark widget the phone won't load a webpage despite showing a strong wifi connection, I have to turn wifi on and off to correct this
Must be an ICS thing because my Touchpad does the same thing.
On a side note, my iPhone does the same thing too.
in your wifi settings hit menu and click advanced. there is a setting to set the wifi not to turn off during sleep.

I said in my original post I had that set already to always... the mneu says "Keep wifi on during sleep" I have it set to always
Seems to be a known issue if the phone goes to sleep for an extended period of time wifi will disconnect regardless of the wifi setings. We will have to wait for htc or rom dev's to fix the issue.
If you get the Power Saver Settings app (free) from the market, you can access hidden power options in ICS. Two of which are "Manage my connection when screen is off" (which may or may not apply only to network data) and "Turn off Wi-Fi if not connected." Perhaps try those settings.
My WIFI was shutting off and it is sometimes a bit bumpy reactivating it every time I wake it.
So I tried setting that setting to Keep WIFI on always while asleep.
WIFI is MUCH more stable now when waking the phone.
However, it seems to be using up battery much more quickly too.

i'm having the same wifi issue with my evo lte. I even changed these settings you mentioned and the same thing has been happening for a couple days. guess we'll have to wait on htc or devs for a fix.
i changed the ghz or whatever on my fone and it seems to not die out anymore after an hour of sleep
i have the same problem which prevents me from getting email and some other notifications on time. hope htc can fix this.
Same thing happened on ICS leak for 3D. Mikey finally fixed the issue in MeanRom.

i was going to create a new thread... but found a 9 month old thread I previously started... I'm having the same wifi issues still.... since the recent update it has gotten worse. Often times at home I'llw ake the phone from sleep only to see the wifi is not connected.... so I am missing notifications/emails while it is sleeping.
I don't notice this problem occurring at work, so I'm guessing it may just be an issue this phone has with my router (Linksys WRT54GL)... but I'm not even sure what router settings I should change.

I noticed before the update that mine would do this after midnight, then after the update I stayed connected. However it's back to disconnecting after midnight again. I cannot figure out why.

Sounds like 1) ur power saver is on or 2) smart sync - occurs midnight to 6? I forget but it happens during night time.

Disable smart snyc via custom rom or freeze or remove the app. Here's a quick read

If you do a google search you'll find much more on the software/app

Has anyone noticed when you turn on your screen after a long period of inactivity... It seems like the Wi-Fi reconnects. Is the a Wi-Fi sleep policy or maybe a bug... Or it's just me?

HTC phones have had WiFi issues like you describe in the past where WiFi turns off when screen is off even when you set the policy to always on. I hope the One doesn't have that bug.

Yeah I read that too and hope it isn't true... But I've noticed this a couple of times.

FYI there are two power saver modes the normal one on your status bar you can check off and on. And there is another for network connections under the battery options in settings.

I have a similar issue with my HTC One and I posted it on the General HTC One Q&A forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41259406
I contacted HTC Support a couple times, and these are their suggestions:
1. I understand perfectly how annoying this can be. I ask you to please follow this troubleshooting. Let me assist you. First of all please go to All apps > Settings > Battery or Power, and disable Fast boot. Then, please go to All apps > Settings > Developer options, and enable USB debugging. After doing this, please perform a Cache reset. This process will delete unwanted and temporary files from your phone. It will not mess up your personal files. Just follow the instructions on the attached file. Please keep us up to date with this problem. (Tried, no difference)
2. To start, we can try to boot the phone into safe mode to see if there is any difference. To start, press and hold the power button until the power menu comes up. Then press and hold on the Power off option and a popup will appear with the option to reboot into safe mode. From there, test the Wi-Fi for a day or so to see if the issue continues. You can exit safe mode by rebooting the phone normally. (I didn't try this, but instead I did a factory reset, no difference)
3. Go to Wifi Frequency Band and select 2.4GHz (I am trying this now)
Alaris, I hope this second setting you mentioned is the one I am looking for to prevent this. Will test it out tonight.
hey guys, quick question
I use skype on a regular basis, and normally on the dock, so theres no problem. however, i always have to keep the screen on, which is a pain when im lying down in bed while on skype. thing is, when i turn off the screen, the call automatically gets choppy and eventually disconnected. The wifi sleep setting is already set to never, yet this still happens. any idea what could be happening? Using neutrino 3.02, if it matters.
thanks in advance!
This happens to me too with new versions above 4.0

AFAIK it's a bug in skype.
I've seen a lot of complaints on the store

Same here, but sometimes when I click on contact, skype restarts. I am using Android 4.1.2.

Hi finally got my edge today. Loving it all ready.
I need a way of setting notifications by time meaning the phone auto switches to mute at a certain time on certain days then goes back to on in the morning at a certain time. Does anyone have recommendations please.

do not disturb will do that for you in sounds and notifications
Thanks that's about 90% what I'm after. It would be great to be able to add certain contacts instead of all or favourite etc.

Same here! I don't really use the 'Favorites' feature, but I had to reset all of them so that this feature would work.
There a software name Audio manager pro as I remember, try searching it. Good luck!
Did anyone find a way of using do not disturb to mute notifications? It seems less reliable for third party apps.
There is also Phone weaver, It does everything you said. The only strange issue is when you switch in airplane mode, manually or automatically, only wifi go off, the phone radio doesn't!
There is a trial version too!
