Fix Permissions Un-rooted my Tablet?!? - G Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Edit: Found the problem, Superuser App had block TB rights... works now.
I recently had my G-Tablet crash again and give me a bunch of forces closes on a handful of apps (1 being Titanium Backup). So I ran Fix Permissions as I had done in the past and it fixed those issues, but at the same time removed a bunch of apps I had downloaded on the Marketplace. So I went to restore them via TB, but it's telling me it doesn't have root rights!!! So is my tablet un-rooted? How do I get my root rights back? And is it possible to do without having to wipe everything?
Also is there a better way to turn off the Tablet than the side power button? This is was the cause of the crash, the device options menu didn't show up and the thing just turned off, next time I turned it on I got all the force closes.
I'm using TnT Lite 4.2.0 which other than the missing root rights seems to be functioning fine.

[Q] Lost root after flashing MIUI 1.9.9

Hey everyone,
After I updated to MIUI 1.9.9 today, I lost root. This is my 5th or 6th MIUI update, and I've never had this issue before. I dl'd and flashed it thru ROM Manager. I discovered the problem when I installed Titanium in order to get all my apps/settings back. It gave be the "be sure your ROM has busybox" error message. Any thoughts on how to get back to root? I tried uninstalling Titanium and the Pro key, rebooting, then reinstalling Titanium with no luck. I didn't even get the "countdown" message where you have to allow Titanium root rights. Any help would be great!
Thanks

"UPDATE NOTICE: Superuser Permissions need to be enabled via Superuser.apk menu enable superuser Permissions. (Superuser is found in Tools folder)"
open SU, menu/settings/enable.
I don't know If this is different on every phone but on my Desire Z this app is not in the tools but on one of the home screens directly also you I had to kill titanium backup because it didn't try to acquire root again (I restarted the whole phone but I forgot that I could have kill it from application manager).

[Q] Rooted now apps fc

So,
I decided to root my nt. Rooted using zergrush method. Everything worked fine no errors. Rebooted nook and now apps fc. App market fc's, my bible app fc's at startup as well. So i do have root access, but how do i fix these issues that started post root?
Ok, so no replies. I spent christmas eve trying everything I can think. I wiped and reloaded and re-rooted the nook, now the FC's in my user apps are gone. However when I use the Google Market I get this error: process com.android.vending has unexpectedly stop. This error only comes up when I try to update or install an app.
I have verified the files permissions are 644. I have tried clearing the app data and am coming up blank.
Anyone else have some ideas, if I can get market working I will be happy.
I kinda have the same problem. I get a FC only on reboot. The angry bird app works, so idk. Hope there is a fix.

I rooted yesterday and had the same issue with my bible app, eBay, flixter and others I had sideloaded previously. I still had the apks on my SD card so I uninstalled/reinstalled and in most cases it resolved the fc issue.
Yes, my problem fixed itself.

I was never able to resolve the issue regardless of how many time i 7 boot fail wipe and reroot and ota blocked. so i just used the extended return policy and returned it for a refund. if the bootloader gets unlocked or a custom recovery and ROM ever make it on the tablet I will buy one for my wife.
I switched to the Samsung 7.0 Tab plus.

[Q] rooted my nook and have a couple of issues

Ok so I succcesfully rooted my NT using indirect's method but some issues have popped up
1) not all of the google apps are showing up. Not in the app drawer or desktop.
2) titanium backup will not run. I can use root explorer and change to the r/w method though.
3) its no longer seeing my sdcard
4) I'm using ADW launcher and all the menus are white font with a white background(I know this hasn't been resolved yet)
Anybody know why some of this stuff is happening?
Sorry, I would post this in the development forum but don't have enough posts yet.
Thanks!
1) not all of the google apps are showing up. Not in the app drawer or desktop.
Not all GApps are installed via Indirect's tools. Just the basic "foundation", so you can get other tools in the Market, and/or side-load.
2) titanium backup will not run. I can use root explorer and change to the r/w method though.
Try a different APK, and make sure you're rooted.
3) its no longer seeing my sdcard
Reboot. Make sure it ain't corrupted. Sometimes clicking it back out, and back in will help it register with the hardware.
4) I'm using ADW launcher and all the menus are white font with a white background(I know this hasn't been resolved ye
You can press and HOLD, and it'll change color to one you can read. If you slide off the key, it won't "press".
Good luck.
I also rooted my nook and am having some major issues
I followed all of the steps. I was only able to access the App Market by running the debugging app again, however my nook updated and now its telling me I can't download the debugging app for safety reasons. I know I still have the apps because my kill task app is in the bottom corner, but I can't access them.
Also, I tried to unroot and start over and my nook won't allow me to download the unroot app. HELP pls So if I can't start over and can't uninstall, what can I do? I even tried to restore it to factory settings and it only changed my keyboard back to the nook keyboard.
I figured I could download what I wanted from marketplace but I did want to make sure something didn't go wrong there. As for titanium, I've unistalled and redownloaded it several times without any luck. I'm not having any problems accessing SU so I'm assuming I'm rooted, correct?
Btw, sort of off topic but the XDA app force closes on me whenever I click on a topic lol

[HELP] Can't kill system update on LG Optimus F3

I have a Virgin Mobile LG Optimus F3 and I rooted it a while back, after thus it kept nagging me to update to the V6 firmware.
I then went and got "Disable Service" and used that on "Google Services Framework". All was well... for a time.
I don't know what happened or what I installed, but now the damn thing has come back like a zombie and won't die. I even used "Disable Service" again and it keeps re-enabling itself somehow.
A. Has anyone had this problem and managed to kill the System Update once and for all, again.
B. Is there a way to see what is enabling the service in the GSF so I can either uninstall it or disable that.
C. If there is no solution, is there a modified GSF floating around with the update service/Update permission patched to off.
Things I've tried are:
Disable Service
AutoStars (older program)
Rom Toolbox (Autostar manager)
Lucky Patcher (Change the apk, rebuild and install) -> This fails as it says it's installed the rebuilt APK but it never does and I have to re-unbackup from Titanium
Things that work but are not a real solution:
Titanium Backup -> Freeze the damn thing
I would like to be able to go into the Play Store whenever I want without having to keep unfreezing it. It also prevents programs from updating automagically.
Was there ever a solution to this? The update notifications are driving me nuts.

Android System requesting root?

So I'm having a very strange issue. I'm on a rooted stock NC5 ROM (original) and every once in a while I get a superuser request for Android System (System_user_x) x as in a number. At that point my screen becomes unresponsive to touch for about 5 minutes. Any ideas what's going on?

I had the same problem. I performed a factory reset, and after a Titanium Backup I wasn't able to allow the Android Process Superuser permission. I wound up fixing this by deleting the superuser app from /system/apps disabling wanam xposed module (the long press back kill mod was what started the issue) and then re installed superuser. I had the pro edition, so I hope it won't make a difference on your end.
After I re-enabled the wanam xposed and didn't have a problem. (obviously this removed all the saved permissions like TiBackup and ES explorer, but they aren't hard to re-enable.
Hope this helps.
So after a new rom flash I ran into the same problem. A quicker solution would be to go into SU and set the default permission to "grant" access. After this, run the process which requires the access, and once access is granted, switch the setting back to "prompt".
