I am with you...When i took mine apart, it scare me. All those connectors to mme seem that it would make your phone susceptible to be easily broken. I hope not, but it is definitely intimidating...

Wow, really?
There are contacts for antennas, noise cancellation and NFC. why is it you need someone to provide you with the minutia?
It's not that hard if one have a need to find out - I don't personally.
If you cut a little piece of thin plastic and put in between those contact point you'll be able to find out - at least with phone signal, bluetooth, wifi and gps ...
BTW hopes you post pictures and explain too

Wow, really? That was a less than helpful post. What was the point? He asked his quesion in the proper thread. He waited several days for a response before bumping. Does his reason for wanting the info matter to you?
@seansk. The only info I can give you is that the contacts to the right of the camera opening is for wifi. Other than that I don't know either.
I signed up just to put this in. I think the connectors on the bottom of the battery cover are for the phone's cellular antenna. Long story short, I put some foil over those connectors thinking it might give me better cell signal and I actually got worse signal. Took off the foil and voila, signal came back to normal strength.

Camera removal/reinstallation

Are there any detailed guides or videos on how to remove/replace the camera module on the SG2? The only one I've found shows how to disassemble everything but the rear camera...

That was the video I referred to in my original post. It shows how to disassemble the board, but I'm not clear on how the camera is disconnected from the board once it's out?

If you flip the board over so the long piece going down is on your left.
next to the black square the connects to the lens on the left side is a cable connect.
Gently lift of the cable connect by prying it up and away from the pins on the side of the black square, thenyou can lift out the camera module.

And to reinstall, I simply do the reverse?? Is the camera module affixed by something (e.g. double-sided tape), or is it free once I release the cable conect?

yes
Am pretty sure it is the two contacts at the top of the phone under the battey cover, If you are having problems make sure the contacts on the handset are prominent enough to make a good connection with the rear casing, Be careful not to snap them if they need bending etc.

Thank You, I am trying it
Wifi/Bluetooth antennas tend to be at the top or the sides of a phone. With the actual cellular antenna being at the bottom.
FCC requires all mobile phones to have the cellular antenna farthest from the users head (health concerns). LTE being the strange exception mostly being near the top or the side.

HTC Jetstream Main Board

Here is a picture of the main board of a Jetstream. I took off the heat cover doors, but other than that yours will look the same. For reference -- these components are very near the microSD slot, but face the LCD screen.
Note the Samsung memory in the top left!
Thanks finniest, can we have the big picture file instead of this small one?
