I don't think there is any anouncement about its availability for the 10.1 Since the source is not available, and we'll have for samsung.

[Q] Kernal for gingerbread?

Just a quick question. Will we have to wait for samsung to release the kernal source for gingerbread before we can get some ROMs off of gingerbread? If samsung doesn't upgrade the fascinate to gingerbread will we be out of luck? Reason im askin is because we dont have any 2.2 roms until samsung releases the source so im assuming the same is for Gingerbread. I love my fascinate but if i cant get gingerbread i gonna have to return which sucks!
thanks!

I don't believe all the gingerbread details are out yet, but I'm sure we will see it.
It'll hit code.google.com shortly then samsung will release it sometime in the next 5 years.

How can you just assume they will be so prompt? Do you have an anonymous samsung source on your eta?

five years? How rediculous. It will be at least another 15 before we see gingerbread. For God sakes Samsung has a big event November 8 and the phone is dropping with eclair

[Q] when do you think we'll get touchwiz 4.0?

don't go flaming here....
what do you guys think? i'm not a big fan of touchwiz 3, cause i use launcher pro, but ive seen the videos of touchwiz 4 on the upcoming s2, and it seems pretty sweet.....hopefully we'll get a system dump when its released in europe....
i wonder if it's restricted to only gingerbread kernels/roms.....i hope not..
Not anytime soon

If it's being released in europe next month, you don't think someone will post a system dump here?

Any chance that this could happen?

Short answer no, That was an official update from htc and ICS is around the corner and all dev teams are focus on that. For us HP TP users that means a pretty solid tablet os when they port it over.
Hope that helps

would you guys stop it please?
honeycomb source WAS released along with ICS... simple answer to why you wont see any HC ports onto the tp is, that it doesn't make any sense porting HC to any device anymore when the next iteration of Android was already released too..

[Q] Why isn't CM9 build 16 on the post?

I see people are building it themselves by taking the I9000 one and changing the build.prop and so forth, but why hasn't the OP updated? Even the Captivate has 16 officially.
Dev doesn't have vibrant. He will soon. He is currently trying to build from source instead of using i9000 rom

Thank you for the informed and concise response without trying to be funny on the internet at a stranger's expense.

[Q] Anybody working on Kitkat for G-Tablet?

I have heard that Kitkat is specially made (stipped down) for low level tablets, which have about 512 MB. I want to know anybody is working on Kitkat firmware for G-tablet. I don't see it in firmware section. If you have seen a working ROM, please let me know.
Thanks in Advance.
Subhantech
I don't think anyone is working on anything for g-tab these days. Mine is collecting dust in my dead tab crypt.
I highly doubt we'll ever see anything else for thus device. The last update on any of the ROMs was months ago.
Mine has been in use as a very expensive alarm clock for a couple of years now. Its basically useless for anything else.

I ran some of the 4.x based roms for a while but they would get totally unresponsive quite often. So I've been running the latest vegantab 7.x with nomedia files everywhere. Acceptable but it might be nice to have something like 4.4 running.
Bnolsen I'm with you tried a few 4.x and keep going back to Vegan-tab. Solid running rom, waiting for 4.4 kitkat. I'm thinking that has promise.

wow, just checked out the teaser for eclipse... with this type of work still happening I wouldn't be surprised at all now if we see a 4.4 release
I upgraded from stock kernal/ROM to kitkat on my samsung player 4.0 (1ghz,.5gb) yesterday and it makes a huge difference. Its still early so a few bugs to be worked out but overall very solid. I would be great to see a version for gtab.
