[Q] Galaxy s2 Roms - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Which one!!!!!!!!!!!!
Litning 3.2 (been on)
villain 2.1 (thinking of going on)
Android 2.3.4 [Wipe & No-Wipe] (currently on)
Wot would you choose??
Edit:
Sorry for posting in wrong place could a MOD please move!!

this shouldn't be in development. I would choose Litening rom though.

For the moment, I'm on cognition 1.20 and I am happy with it. I was on villain 2.1 but wanted just a change (I was also happy with villain too) and would like to be on CM7...hope sooon

Cannot remember exactly which one was, VR 1.4 or 2.0, but with one of these, a guy went 5d light usage as I remember

Best android rom for me is MIUI. The launcher I use is LauncherPro (smoothest and 4x5 with widget stretch). The S2 version is allready very mature, but not perfect yet.

i like leomar2.1 with ninphetamine 2.0.1 kernel and kg3 modem works great for me so far
I also overclock and undervolt settings are :
1.4ghz at 1275mv
1.2ghz at 1225mv
1ghz at 1100mv
800mhz at 975mv
500mhz at 850mv
200mhz a 825mv
Good stuff more power less battery equals a happy buxz777
Leomar is also doing some very good work and its worth checking out his thread mate pulser has been doing great work with villain rom too and always helps users out
There are many good devs in this forum

[Q] Best Stable Vibrant ROM?

I just need a stable 2.2 ROM, preferably with a 1.4 GHz overclock.
Stable roms (that I've tried) - Bionix, Trigger, and Bi-Winning
Since you want to OC, you need a custom kernel (i think all those roms just come with Stock voodoo). Any OC that you will do will not create a stable environment for your Vibrant (everyones CPU is built differently so results will vary). Basically, OC and Stable do not go in the same sentence.

Best of luck with that, other than cm7, there are no true asop roms/builds for the vibrant.

Bionix NextGen 1.3.2 with whatever overclock kernel is recommended.
Hands down.
I'm not currently using it for testing purposes (and because the theme sucks so hard, sorry TW, I love you but you gotta admit that ****'s ugly.)
Try SGS II clone V2. It's stable, and looks great. I'm running with an Overstock kernel.

I've found on my vibrant that a 1.4ghz overclock is too much.. 1.2 is stable though.
I'm using the trigger rom it runs great with of but you don't need to overclock to 1.4 to improve overall smoothness

Im running bionix next generation with bullet kernel and get a qs score of 2600 or better and is fast as hell and very stable! Been running it for about a week with no freezes or crashes battery life isn't all that great though only downfall. Lol

[Q] Overclock Optimus T

Can someone one say to me if i can overclock my optimus t to 1GHz or 900HMz????
nope. the highest it can be overclocked to is around 806 mhz
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
I've seen some one go up to 825 but like above said most only go to 806. This doesn't mean this is a slow phone though. It's very smooth in the home screens and scrolling.

i recommend using the rom and kernel in my signature. not only are they both good performance-wise, they are both very stable
But ...In cm 7 all things work like wi-fi camera Bluetooth and what are the bugs that till not repair
the bugs can be found in the first post of this thread
i wouldnt really call them bugs since they really dont affect daily use of your phone
Thanks ..But i will install cm7 when is complete stable...Wile i am waiting for cm 7 be stable i will use megatron rom + franco.kernel + a themes..I am seaching For the theme DD

Froyo Rom

Hey devs, why there's not a lot of froyo rom? I think that in a lot of things it s better than gingerbread.. It is sooo smoooooth for example... Or.. Why not an oc kernel for it? If you think gingerbread' s better than froyo, try flash it and use STOCK rom.. You' ll see that it s better than some custom rom based on gingerbread...

The fact that it's an old version just destroys dev support for it

I don't see it happening. It seems that we're forced to use Gingerbread, you and I are the only "crazy" around here that actually prefered Froyo over GB

best rom for battery?

can any1 tell me what is the rom with best battery life?
I currently use cm9 and 7.2 but the battery life preety sux
stocklite v6
+1 stocklite..(just delete the scripts from it in the init.d folder enjoy )
I installed AOKP task450 version 37 in my AT&T SG2 and working excellent
Stocklite v6--besy battery life. Just remove the scripts if you want. Try Xperiatized by Robin. Beauty + Battery
miracle v4 with modified ace kernel
Stock ROMs are best for battery so i'd advice you to go for stocklitev6

I'm thinking of gettin' this rom... butm what about the modified kernel? I've always thought that CM7 roms are battery killers, I'm running "The End 4.0" and I can't get 'till noon. Right now since 7:30 a.m. I'm at 14% :s
I'll probably say that a modified stock will be just perfect!

For me best battery Roms are
CM7 - CyanoIce, Legux OS
Stock - Stocklite v6

If you want cyanogen then I would use a CM7.1 rom, battery life is normally better on 7.1
