Ok, so I'm using [ROM] Cyanogen Gingerbread CM7 Final Sources (v14.5 + GPS Hotfix + Camcorder Fix) on my Mini Pro and it's going great, few minor hickups but nothing major...
That is until I select "Reboot into xRecovery" from the power down options. Selecting this, every time causes my phone to get bricked at the SE screen and I have to then use SEUS to get it working again, then root, then install xRecovery, then restore my backups.
Is there something I'm doing wrong here or has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it?
mh not normal
if your device is broken you can press the hard reset button
it is over the battery thre must a little white point if you press it down for 5 sec
your phone would boot in xrecoverys if your device is bricked
to fix your problem with the reboot option
download the rom again and flash it again
are sure you make your factory reset and battery wipe
if you have still this problem ask slade about this problem
in his F.A.Q thread or in his ROM Thread^^
Thank you for the advice, I didn't actually know about the hard reset button, I had tried all combinations of the Power/Home/Back key as I'd read that somewhere on the SE forums and in here but it did nothing. I will try that next time thank you!
Will also try reflashing to see if that clears it up.
OKay, I'm an idiot and will admit it. I tried rooting my SGS2... it worked - sort of, but my cell reception dropped completely. The home button also stopped working. To make things worse I went back and tried it again, as well as REroot to fix the problems only to now get myself into a reboot that I cannot get out of.
I am here:
Android System Recovery <3e>
Enter: OK Key. Select: Vol Up / Vol Down
reboot system now
apply update from sdcard
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
The problem is that I can't select the options because the HOME button is inactive. I have tried rebooting, resetting, pulling the battery. Nothing works. I am stuck. Is this what you would called 'bricked'? Forgive me for asking, but I SERIOUSLY appreciate anyone helping me out.
I am contemplating going into the Sprint store to get it fixed. I am aware that voids the warranty?
Thanks...
An Idiot
If you're in recovery menu try using the power button to make a selection.
You probably don't have an I9100 (since you mentioned Sprint) and are flashing stuff for the wrong phone.
Fwuffy86 is right, use the Power button instead. I had the same problem yesterday.

I searched the forums, looked like everyone who had this problem rooted their phones and installed custom roms, however i did not tamper with the phone in anyway, no rooting or custom rom, just nothing, this is the 3rd time in 6 weeks i get stuck in an infinite restart loop, i did two factory resets and i can't just do another one, i'm sick of this! there has to be a way to stop this, please help!
so far i have tried:
1-installing an antivirus and scanning (nothing found)
2-restarting in safe mode, the phone continued to restart in safe mode
3-uninstalled new apps that i installed recently
there has to be a way!!
Just found out that Facebook app is doing the trouble, whenever i load it the phone restarts, so i decided to uninstall it, i tried going in settings > apps, once i open there before reaching facebook the phone would restart, i can do whatever i want with the phone but i cant go to settings > apps, then i tried uninstalling it by pressing and holding the app icon and i was given the option to uninstall and i did, it starts to uninstall, then the phone restarts!
After that i went into safe mood, and the same thing happened, on both methods i can't uninstall it!
what the hell is this problem?? i looked everywhere and no one has it!
Anyone ??????????????
And now when i'm receiving media on whatsapp it's restarting!!
Maybe you're having permission issues, do you have cwm?
if yes go to your recovery mode and click on advanced>fix permissions.
try that but if it doesn't work than I can help you any further
And now it's in an infinite bootloop again, restarting, 2 seconds in the main screen and then restarts again, then all over and over and over and over and over again!

Here is a explanation for Download mode
Always clean the dalvik cache
I have the same problem before. The best way to avoid bootloop is to clean the dalvik cache every time you install a new rom. If your using CWM recovery, you can find that option in advanced tab. Unfortunately if you have stock recovery , just try to format to factory reset then reboot , as soon as you successfully booted, install CMW such that you have the option to clean the dalvik cache in the recovery for your future rom installation.
Hey folks,
I have some serios sh!t over here.... I have installed a new rom and accidentally deleted the launcher3.apk (because usually I use nova) but in that moment I didnt have nova launcher installed!!!! And the phone rebooted itself since that moment I just see the boot animation for example but nothing else.
It wouldnt be a problem at all if I could just enter recovery wipe and install it again, or restore a twrp nandroid backup BUUUUUUTT my home button doesnt work! And thats why I cant boot into recovery since I cant touch the 3 buttons. Last time I went through adb commands into recovery but now adb says liste of device and there is one BUT it is offline... So when I type a command it says Error: Device Offline!
Is there a way to fix it without putting money into it?? Or do i need another LCD so I can boot into recovery with a working home button?? That would be a real real bad thing
Thanks a lot for help

Okay, someone told me a hint! You can enter the download mode also, when you are holding volume down and then connecting the device to a charger. It worked well flashed with Odin FW etc. so no problem at all LOL! Maybe this information will help someone other. Please close the thread.

Thanks for Information
Hello, everyone!
I recently purchased a LG V10 and I'm in love (Except for the WiFi latency issues). I was reading up on ways to fix the WiFi lag problem and someone suggested wiping your cache. No matter what button combination I use I cannot seem to get to recovery - I've tried Pwr+Volume Up and Down, and letting off the power button for a second when the LG logo comes up and pressing again while still holding the volume buttons. Nothing seems to work, the most I can get is a white screen that asks if I want to do a factory reset when I try the Pwr+Volume Down method, and with Pwr+Volume Up I get a firmware update screen. If I try using "adb reboot recovery" it will boot to recovery but all I get is the dead Android and nothing else no matter what buttons I press.
I was also curious if I could unlock my bootloader since I haven't seen much information about the RS987 model online, so I enabled OEM Unlock from developer options and used "adb reboot booloader" but all it does it reboot my phone. I've also tried holding the volume buttons while plugging the USB cable and no luck there.
Anyone else with a PS987 had any luck loading to their bootloader or recovery? Any other suggestions for correcting the WiFi lag problem? So far I've tried disabling IPv6 on my router (Don't have the option to disable it) and clearing my cache from storage in Settings.
hi have the same problem
have not found a way around it yet
have you?
or any one else?
