It's the kernel that allows the overclocking not the rom.
there are 2 kernals available now that overclock for 2.3.4 edgans and faux's. They are in the development section. Faux's installs via cwm.
And yes, if you overclock your battery life should be lower.
Thank u

Ok here is a link that will explain what all of it is Roms, Kernels, Custom recovery...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=900905
Second is a link to all the links you will need sort of a how too http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=901247 when installing a custom ROM i would go with either MIks CM7 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=946354 or Void .... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125870
anyways here is a link that will get you started just fallow the instructions to T it is not that hard and well worth it once you get to the part about installing the Rom you can pick your own or one one of the two i suggested above so here it is http://tablet-crunch.blogspot.com/2011/01/lg-optimus-t-rooting-recovery-rom.html
if you have any questions just ask i am not a expert but if i dont know the answer i can point you in the right direction
PS there is a video on that last link that will guide you thru as well
Happy reading!! Hahahahah

I do not recommend using the kernel franco in Stock ROM 2.2. There some lag when touching screen and frequent FC. The phone runs noticeably slower than that with the kernel adapted to the 2.2. In thread dedicated to the franco kernel was written, that it is not suitable for stock roms.
Better use this, it is stable.
Which is the latest Froyo ROM? And where i could get it?

Go with project-v its the best. Then get bali uv kernel. You wont be disappointed with that combo.

If a simple Google search (or reading the sticky threads) would answer your question, please don't post the question in the first place.

Ok, my question wasn't clear. I mean stock rom and not custom roms.

I trying to find the best kernel for battery life. Faux keeps giving me problem loading widget errors after reboot and screws up webtop. All others have some other problems too
Well faux has 2.3.4 and cm7 and froyo kernels but no 2.3.5. 2.3.4 kernels wont work properly on 2.3.5 but..actually....I thought when I had 2.3.5 that I did flash fauxs and it did work if I'm not mistaken. But I remember some things didnt work as well.

Not yet, but if you know what you are doing, you can flash this to oc.

Sorry folks, best is in the eye of the beholder.
Take time to read what is offered in the developmnet threads and try them all to make your own determination.
