[Q] OC with meanrom file on meanbeam rom - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Is it possible to OC the meanbeam rom with the zip from the folder of the meanrom rom? If not is there a OC for meanbeam yet?

Not yet, but if you know what you are doing, you can flash this to oc.

if you flash a new ROM....

will you have to reflash the oc kernel you put on your old one? my thoughts are yes, just want confirmation.

It depends if the ROM includes a kernel or not. Check the OP of the ROM you want to flash.

Removing kernels

Is it possible to remove a kernel such as glitch or Bali without reflashing rom?

You could find out what the kernel the rom you flashed came with and search in development for it inside the bible. Download it and flash in clockwork. Think you wipe davlik and fix permissions after flash. you can flash new kernels on top of old ones won't change your rom.

Use sgs kernel flasher from the market. Back up your current kernel and flash whatever one you want. Just make sure its compatible with your rom and you should be good to go. Only takes 2min and you'll be done. Good luck!

It doesn't hurt but I never did. Just flash the kernel and let your phone reboot.

What should I do to get an overclock on my cel?
You need to flash a kernel that supports OC and UC. Like the Cherry Picker kernel bundled with ShoStock 2.

This kernel that comes in CM9 ROM does not support OC? What kernel would be stable with the ROM that I use?
Thanks.

Read the thread....
Download v3.2b1 - CWM Flashable
WITH mic swap (use this one if you are using a ROM directly from the I9100 forum, AOKP or CM9)
http://www.mediafire.com/?j9xddv40wd4wofs
WITHOUT mic swap (use this one if you are using a ROM from OUR I777 forum like UCPLCx or anything based on these)

[Q] Kernel flashing

Can you flash a kernel over kernel? For an example, I flashed faux kernel v 23 b6 earlier on my current rom , and faux kernel v24 just came out so I was wondering if I could flash this newer kernel over this one?
yes you can.

Always wipe cache and dalvik cache before you flash a kernel.
