Hi All,
Quite new to this forum so please be gentle !
Am I led to believe that what I was prompted to flash from the device yesterday is the new official Jellybean from Samsung ? It does say 4.1.1 now that it has finished (Stock ROM, unrooted)
Another thing that leads me to believe it is Jellybean is that I cannot run flash from websites ? A quick Google search revealed that I need to download Flash 11.1 from Adobe's servers and install solved this but now when I am streaming videos, the screen goes into powerdown after 30 seconds as if the device is idle and goes to standby. I know I can just turn on the Smart stay function but I want to use my All Share Cast device so I can beam to my TV without it switching off like it did before flashing. Anybody know how to fix this ?
I have also noticed now that the device no longer vibrates when I receive a message when in silent mode even though I haven't changed any of the settings ? I noticed this was the same when I updated the non standard ROM on my old ZTE Skate ?
Any help much appreciated on what is the best phone I've ever had ...

>> 4.1 = JB

Thanks I am aware that JB doesn't support Flash and I read up somewhere about downloading Flashing 11.1 from Adobe's servers and installed it and it works. The only problem I now have is that the screen goes off in the preset 30 seconds when 'idle' but when I was streaming video via Flash, the screen used to stay on in ICS and I can stream to Samsung All Share Cast (Wirelessly) without problem. I can't find any settings other than to keep screen on for max 10 minutes and 'Smart Stay' but that would require me to 'watch' on the phone and not then stream to my TV without going to sleep after 10 mins.?

Have managed to flash 4.0.4 ICS back and reinstalled Flash (?) and everything working as was. Interestingly my friend who has Jellybean installed on his had the exact same problem of screen closing when streaming video after 15 secs.and when connected via Allshare Cast too - anybody know why (I know Flash isn't officially supported in JB) ?

Hello All,
I have an old Samsung I-997 Infuse, running 2.2 Froyo, and rooted.
After installing the latest YouTube version, my YouTube no longer works...I'm guessing because of an incompatibility with the old Froyo version. When I try to view any YouTube, from the app. or even from the web, I get a simple announcement which states "An Error Occurred"
I've tried the normal uninstall, reinstall...which has not helped
Anybody else had this problem?
Is there a way to install an older version of YouTube?
Thanks for the help!
Anybody know where I can download an older version of You Tube apk?
Thanks...still cant get my youtube working
I think it's an issue in a lot of tablets... Youtube is unable to play videos and give an error message... You just need to reset Youtube in your tablet to factory default.
actually, it's a phone...Don't really want to unroot and take it back to stock. I did find a website with lots of older versions of .apk's, I just dont know how to get them on my phone once I download them from my computer
hi everyone
i have a problem with youtube not playing videos
i have removed all updates and cleared the app data/cache but still not working
also the update is unable to install and i am getting a 501 error
There's a software bug related to videos (including youtube). Rebooting solves the problem for a few days (until it happens again).
Can resolve
I have the same problem, install YouTube app from external page as uptodown.com and work without problems.
Tried both fixesbut wont work
Just die a complete reset and now everything works again but I am not happy if i have to reset each month
Suspect there is some bug in the firmware
The bug just also started to affect my second m4
problem is back in my first M4 the second one still hasn't been reset
i really need a fix for this
I rooted the phone correctly through odin, and magisk.
No videos can play whatsoever E.g No youtube video, no social media videos.
If i try to play a video, the device resprings quick everytime.
I had to flash the stock rom back onto the phone to fix the problem.
How can i fix the problem when rooted?
I have a Nokia 7.1 which I recently rooted and flashed with a custom rom.
But recently I have been facing a problem. Whenever I press play on any video in whatsapp, the video is just stuck at 0 seconds and does not move. This does not seem to be the case for other apps like YouTube and Netflix, both seem to work.
The rom I have, came with gapps flashed.
Is it whatsapp that is creating the problem or the rom? Does anyone have a solution to this?
Also the rom I used was this:- https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-unofficial-12-0-crystal-aospextended-2021-11-12.4346233/
I also flashed the kernel posted at the end of the thread given above as I read that it fixed an issue with Bluetooth.
If u need any more info then just ask.
Thx
