thanks guys , i thought so ..but how could i use odin when i cant switch on "Downloading" screen ? ( because its reset like crazy ) - sorry for my bad english. is there some way to stop booting ?

Have you gotten into download mode? I have to assume that you haven't yet as it probably resets under normal boot, I would think that it wouldn't in download mode but you have to get there first to find out.
- If you can't get into download mode with the button combo's you might wanna look into purchasing a jig. Good luck!

Take your battery out. Hold the Volume buttons down, place the battery back in. Plug the cable in. This should get you to dl mode, works for me.
you could also plug the cable in first then put the battery in. If you can't get it with this, like mentioned earlier, you need a jig.

since you tried going to 2.3..... it might have played with your bootloaders too.... if the above doesn't get you into dl mode.... pull battery, replace battery.... hold VOL UP and POWER

Relax..... your going to be fine. Things like this is what started it all for me

for 2.2 download mode for odin
power off phone
pull out battery
GRAB THIS STUFF : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1047087
turn on odin
attach phone to pc with usb cable
now while holding down both volume buttons put battery back in.
now you should be in download mode and go back to stock with odin from here!
make sure u put the proper tar file in pit and the .pda file in pda in there proper places on odin and ur set to go.
Enjoy and also make sure u have the proper samsung drivers
For gb dl mode
different with GB bootloaders
volume up + power for download
volume down + power for recovery

It's either Vol-up and plug in USB cable while phone is OFF.
Vol-down and plug in USB with phone OFF.
Vol-Up and Vol-Down and plug in USB with the phone off.
Best way is to pull the battery then put battery back in, then hit the volume button, then plug in USB last.

Can you get phone into download mode? Install odin and all windows drivers. Take out batt plug up usb hold vol up and down and put in battery. If that doesn't work there is a cable you can but that might force it into download mode

Can you get adb to work?
I had the same thing happen earlier, I was flashing back a stock ROM in Odin, which I have done before, and this time it was doing the cache files and the phone went black and removed from Odin, now this PC-Computer icon is up. Holding down the power-button just blanks for a second then puts back to the phone-pc screen, my phone was hardware locked so the power+volumes does nothing, and the computer won't recognize the phone in adb.

Download Mode trick.. it worked for me.
Ok guys! here you go.... If you feel like you semi-bricked your phone and cannot boot into download mode.. there is a trick that might work for some or it might not doesn't hurt to try, but damn sure worked for me... Make sure phone is connected to computer with ODIN Opened,..
1. Unplug your phone from usb
2. Take out battery (and mini sd and sim)
3. Plug usb back into phone.
4. Hold down up and down volume keys while putting battery back into the phone. IT SHOULD BOOT INTO DOWNLOAD MODE. if not sorry. Sometimes when people flash back and forth the up and down volume keys get reversed... so try volume down and power.. or volume up and power. GOOD LUCK!!!

No luck, currently going through a relentless trial-error process of different usb-battery-sim/sd-volume-power buttons. Just found out insurance which I thought was covered on my phone via Asurion through T-Mobile is only covering one of the phones on my line, yet I bought them both with warranties at the same time... Pretty bummed, Only is looking like paying the deductable fee for a new phone as if lost/stolen.. Hope something pulls through.
Just a small deviation
1. Take out the battery
2. Plug the USB into the phone
3. Plug USB into the PC
4. Hold down the Volume up/down + Power button with one hand
5. Put the battery back in with the other hand
6. Wait for the phone2pc icon to flash 2 times and on the second time when the screen goes black release only the POWER BUTTON
7. When you see the digging Android you can let go of the Volume buttons
That is the only way I could get it to work

[Q] Do I need to replace my Vibrant?

So I was using Odin to flash the stock ROM so I could flash to Nero v3...Had some trouble with Odin now this icon is all I can get the phone to show me. Attempts to get back into download mode haven't worked. I've done the Volume up + Volume - and Power button.
Did I brick my phone?
Did you have voodoo enabled when you flashed?
Unplug phone. Open odin. remove battery. Plug phone in. hold volume up/down keys. plug battery back in. should auto boot into download mode. I've seen that screen a few times and managed to go back to stock make sure its 512 pit jfd rom. Not ji6 513.

That icon looks so familiar...
Do what boystuff said...exactly. Don't touch the power button at all. And for me, I had to also remove both the sim and sd card along with the battery.
So to recap: take all 3 out, connect the phone to the computer via usb cord, hold down both volume buttons, then while holding them down insert the battery. It'll kick you into download mode.

Much help would be appreciated!!! Have to work all day today which will be slow, so I can work on fixing this. My main question is what type of file is pit & tar? Pit properties is coming up as a window shell comand, Tar opens with unknow app? Not sure if this is my problem or not, I get ODIN to run and complete the steps and end up with the above.
Using Odin V1.3

Get back into download mode and flash Eugenes Froyo That Does Not Brick, that will wipe everything and fix your Voodoo issues. From there you should flash back to JFD then to anything you want.

Have you tried the batt pull method? You could also try adb reboot download. If these do not work for you your will need a Jig to get her back to life.
the Adb method does not work because the pc will not recognize that there is a usb plugged in with the phone and what is the batt pull method and if a jig is something hardware rigging i am a complete idiot when it comes to that

Just pull the batt out. Plug usb to phone only first, hold down volume + and - and don't let go then plus in usb to your computer while still holding volume keys and put battery back in. That should work for you. A Jig is a rigged hardware piece that forces your phone to Dl mode.
where is the link for the eugene froyo files? Pda & Pit files needed please link.
To get into downloader mode this works everytime for me....
Start up ODIN, make sure phone is OFF (take out battery) plug back in
hold both the volume up/down (or more near center)....
While holding that plug in the USB connector,
this methods works all the time.
Im stuck in bootloops currently and do anything no responses yet.
Sweet! that totally got me back into download mode...next question why am i getting stuck at file analysis?
bnielsen40, Boystuff, and Osuhsxr are totally right about the vol keys no crazy special soldering required.

vol up and vol up? JK I think he ment vol up and vol down plus power
Remove battery and all cards. Plug in usb to pc, holding down both volume buttons, pop the battery in, that should launch you into dl mode and ready for odin. Sometimes it takes a few to get the sequence right. I would recommend having odin loaded and ready to go with your pit and tar files before hand, and when you see the comm light up in odin, hit start and sit back.

Did you try this? I usually just hold the volume down button and plug it into the computer. Should get you into download mode for odin.

[Q] stuck on vibrant logo

so i was reflashing to cm7 #71 last night and i always do a clean install by formating boot system and cache. after i formated the 3 idk why but i let the phone shut off.
now i am stuck at just the vibrant logo. i have tried getting into cwm and download mode with no success. i plugged it in to the computer to see if i can at least access to adb no help there either.
does any body have a solution to this on this?
Um, first question; why do you format /boot? No where in any directions do they tell you to format that as that's where you're kernel is located.
And, if you can't access dl mode with the hardware buttons, why didn't you headed the large red letters telling you not to use CM7 if you can't access dl mode without the hardware buttons?
Have.you tried vol+ vol- and then USB? If you're running gb bootloaders (which you shouldn't be), then I don't know the button combo.
But the only way to recover is by geting into dl mode and Odin back to jfd.

I always format/ boot. Its a cleaner install and have no problems going from multiple kernel changes. I could get into download using button combo before I flashed. Now I cant

try this always works. take battery out phone, plug in usb to pc and phone hold vol + and -, and insert battery at same time, should put u in download mode.
Assuming u have a froyo bootloader
1) Power down ur phone
2) hold volume up + volume down then plug ur phone to a PC or laptop....don't let go of two volume buttons...
3) should b in download mode...

ive tried every combo i can think of. still just sits at vibrant. was able to make a jig that put it into DLM but then was getting reconized at all by my computer even with all the correct drivers..... i think i actually might be outta luck
You could get a JIG which will automaticly put it into download mode. It can be found here http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0053H73JQ/ref=redir_mdp_mobile/188-7446597-2980456

@halo
yea i was able to make one for 2 dollars and it works beautifully just now i cant get the computer to reconize the phone. i have the right drivers loaded but its seeing it as some crazy junk
edit: well got all the drivers working. made a new better jig and was able to get odin to reconize it.
didnt flash though. seemed jammed up. so i took it off of odin which left the phone in the phone to computer screen( PROGRESS) plugged it back into the computer. odin saw it and presto! back up and running on JFD
Ditto
I have done the same thing! Sent you a pm... Let me know what driver config you had to use to get it working.
Thanks!

Yesterday i tray to change from 2.3.3. To 2.3.4. On a sgs2.....but i didnt wait to finish and i unpluget the usb cable from the phone and right it doesn't open it!!
What can i do!!sorry for disturbing u!!cheers !!AND TODAY I BUY A USB JIG FOR THE SGS2 BUT IT DOESN'T WORK!!!
Use Odin to flash a new kernel (Clockwork Recovery for example) as PDA. This time do NOT unplug before its finished.
Remember to flash the kernel while you're in DOWNLOAD MODE: Vol down + Home + Power
Try to get into either recovery or download mode.
TURN PHONE OFF
VOLUME DOWN+HOME BUTTON+POWER
IF IT WORKS, PLUG IN AND OPEN ODIN AND FLASH AGAIN
hope it works for you

So you mean your device is completely dead? No Download mode, no keys are working, right?
Have you tried to pull out the battery for some secs and put it back again?
Regards.
Yes try to remove battery and put back in, and if nothing works then you broke the phone, time to send it back (tell them you did samsung kies update and this happened)

If you have tried all the things suggested and the phone cannot switch on, then how do you think Samsung will switch it on?
Right now you have an expensive paper-weight. And to be honest, you deserve it. The instructions for flashing the ROM will have told you not to unplug the USB until the flashing process was finished and roughly how long the flashing time would take.
So you have nothing to loose returning it to Samsung saying that it happened updating their KIES.
