Im deciding on getting a carbon fiber vinyl, but do not know which one to get..
Both offer the same colors..Im looking to get white cus it looks so cool..
Both have a promotion of 25% off.. so at phantom skinz its 30 even and at skinomi its 26 even..
Which one is better? Thanks

That white one is awesome. How do you apply the skin to the back of the transformer? It looks like it is specially cut for it? Does it clip on? Glue on? Or what?
I currently have a clear plastic one on mine. It is applied just like a screen cover, but is flexible to contour to the curve on the back. Cost me $4, to buy and have it applied.
Where do you see the promotion? Thanks...
I dont see the promotion either. I sort of like the white but the black looks awesome. Wonder if it will get in the way of the dock?

Found another one.

Watched a video of a guy putting it on his motorola zoom. They all really look the same to me.
you use a coupon code to get a 25% off..
For phantom Skinz you use "SummerSale25"
and for skinomi its "get25"
and just receive and email that the transformer does not qualify for free shipping with phantom skinz.. so puts it at $35.
the skinomi still at 26..Im probably going with the silver carbon fiber from skinomi!

Thank you for the info. I went ahead and order from skinomi. For 26 dollars with free shipping, can't beat that....I'll let you know how the product will turn out when I get it.
Ive got the Phantomskinz carbon fiber kit on my evo, its tough stuff and the cut is perfect. I just ordered the screen only kit for the tf. Looking forward to it.
IMO black one would look better because the gaps won’t be as prominent with the white one I guess.
i bought the white phantom skinz and got a free screen protector with cleaning kit. shipping is not that expensive since its packed in a large-sized envelope.

I bought Chromatics Skinz from Phantom Skinz. Here's some pics of my white carbon fiber back side of the TF.

I bought Skinomi Black
I like the Skinomi Black Carbon Vinyl. It wasn't too hard to install. I am not too fond of the screen protector, although I still have it on my transformer. I have the slim fit roo case and it fits great with the vinyl on, although I did have to trim the bottom corners of the Skinomi Carbon Fiber Vinyl off, because the roo case pulled it off of the corners. Tight fit, that roo case...

sweet very nice
coupon "guard" takes 10% off. site charges tax so all it does is offset the tax for me, but hey, better than nothing i guess
Looks nice!
How does the armor feel? Looks like it is textured. Does it have a rubbery or tacky feel too?
Does it work with the car mount from sprint?

Could you please post a link where you got your case i would like to pick one up. also this might be a silly question but how did you apply this case? looks kinda like a strong sticker.
1) I order it with 10% off and no tax ,, I live in California
2) It has the textured feel to it. It feels a little slipper... but have a grip to it..
3) I have an old universal car mount with adjustable sides vertical/horizontal ... it fits fine,
I really love the way it looks and feel.
The kit comes with the Carbon Fiber Armor for back and sides, and the screen guard. For $17.99 after the 10% off is not bad for a complete kit, They are available in RED, WHITE or BLACK.

All it is is 3m carbon fiber or di-noc fabric/vinyl. Used in the auto industry for non factory mode, usually interiors, one side is sticky. Many people cover their interiors or roofs in it. Comes in many colors, and honestly, you are paying mostly for the cuts, and not the fabric itself.
Really? Because this is what the product description says.

What are we expecting real CF? Anyway, I have the Skinomi CF kit (3M I believe) on my Gtablet and they are really nice, has kind of a rubbery/friction feel to it. Might get this for my 3D but I already have a silicone case on it, that and I have already dropped it and that silicon case did me good. So I might just stick with that.

agreed. it doesnt even line up good or cover the whole outside. there are black gaps everywhere, like the volume rocker for one. the whole back and sides of the 3Ds battery cover is one piece. could have done a little better job IMO.
looks really slick. Love the carbon fiber weave.
That would offer absolutely zero protection

On the site it says it's not actual carbon fiber, but PVC vinyl based, so I dunno how well it will protect
Alright, So I bought the Skinomi screen protector from amazon. The first one I got I applied and it doesn't reach end to end. So I emailed the company from amazon that I bought it from and informed them that it didn't fit and sent them pictures. They sent out another one, which I got today, and it's the same exact size as the last one.
Anyone else have a skinomi screen protector, does it fit your screen? The pictue below shows the screen protector not reaching to the bottom.

My Clarivue screen protector was cut the similar to your Skinomi. Maybe a tad longer but still 1mm short of the screen. I have a TPU hybrid case on and it covered the bottom so I can't see that is short.
I just got this email fro them:
"Hello,
We allow about an 1/8" room on all screen protectors and skin. We do this because if it was exact then alot of people can not install it without messing up. I am sorry if this does not work for you, please contact customer service if you have anymore questions. Have a great day!
Thank You"
Yet, it doesn't say that on the order screen.
Is there a screen protector that fits the whole screen?
My ZAGG is even shorter. Kind of a bummer.
Wow, that is surprising about Zagg! While Zagg may not have the best feel to them, they usually fit perfect and are freaking unscratchable!!
The Otterbox screen protectors that can't with my Impact case and my Commuter case fit perfect! Well, I've actually only installed one, the one from the Impact, but they are identical.... The Otterbox also feels and looks like there is nothing on the screen at all. I am very impressed and pleased with the screen protector!! Another bonus is that it doesn't stick to the built in screen protector on the Defender like the Zagg did to the Ballistic HC case with my Evo 4G( no stupid baby powder trick needed, which barely even worked to begin with anyway.....)

I got the screen protector from FLsuperstore on ebay by recommendation of others on this forum, and I have to say, it really is a great screen protector. Cut is perfect, clarity is perfect, and I've been using it for two weeks with no scratches (went to the beach twice). I can't recommend it enough, my last screen protector on my Evo4G was the Steinheil Crystal Clear, and I feel like this screen protector works just as well. My Steinheil maybe felt a little thicker/harder, but still had scratches after I used it. This one I don't have any scratches yet, it still feels great. For $1.50 though, you can't go wrong. I was impressed enough to order their anti-glare to see how that fares.

Your Skinomi fits perfectly?
Also, thanks nhutpham! I'm gonna order one.
I've never had a screen protector on any item that was 100% coverage. They have all been at least .5 mm short in each direction. I can't see where anyone could install a screen protector properly if it was 100% accurate without mechanical assistance.
I've had Zagg, Skinomi, Clarivue, Skinz, Skin It and several others over the years.
I love my zagg, but it's cut even smaller than yours. According to the box it’s supposed to be "case friendly"
My skinomi fits perfectly... there's a VERY small gap but you want that... if the protector was cut to the exact size, it'd peel off on the edges. The gap on yours does seem a bit much though.
Just bought one from BodyGuardz in carbon fiber white, anybody else have any experiences?

white looks good...in theory. once you have it on, and there's black lines sticking out form the original case, it looks a bit off. i'd recommend to go with the black.

I get all my skinz and screen protectors from Pantom Skinz. The white carbon looks siiik on the Transformer. The skinz are so good that I had to RMA my first TF and I just peeled the skin from the back and reapplied it to the new TF and I was golden. There worth every penny I think. The skins are from 3M so there good quality. Here are some pics of mine. I've used just about every screen protector out there on my EVO 4G and Viewsonic g-tablet and the Phantom Skinz is by far the best IMO. The screen protector for the TF is so thin and releases all the bubbles so well that it's like it doesn't even have one on. It's that good. The screen protectors for tablets also have a protective cap sheet so once all of your bubbles are gone you just remove it and it's so clear on your TF that you can't even tell it's there.

I had one from Skinomi on my iPad 2 and it was quite hard to peel off when I got rid of the iPad.
It did look great and protected the iPad.
Does it interfere with docking?
Nice, reminds me of what I did on my nexus S, but that was custom made by me, just bought the 3M sticker.
I may look it up and see how much it'd be.

The large skin fits well on the length but is too short on the height (short). The extra trim pieces are just flat out wrong. one piece has two holes that appear tobe for on/off and volume rocker but both holes are the same size and the holes are not placed in the right location. There just appears to be no human testing the pieces, or someone thinks the skin fits multiple tablets. It is a shame since technology exists for a perfect fit. With such a bad economy one could easily excel in the business with just providing perfection. Phantom skin is not the one, look elsewhere.

I have the Skinomi Skin and it's thin enough where you can completely lock the tablet into the dock.
The switch doesn't slide all the way to the lock position when mounting it, but you can give the switch a slight push to lock it in.
I originally had the SGP skin, and it's too thick, so the switch will not slide over to the lock position.
If you don't mind having to push the switch over manually, it's not a problem.

Nice! I couldn't tell if it was a bumper type case or not from the pics. But that's exactly what i was looking for. (Keeps heat down)
Just ordered it yesterday. Hope it's good.
Also ordered 1 for myself, saw this from the other thread. I am however using Spigen Spg but since it doesn't fully cover the sides, I got this one. Basing on the screenshots, this is the right case for me.
Ill agree. I'm also using this case. Love it. It also fits in the Pdair vertical leather belt holster (found on Amazon) perfectly while in the boxwave. Added protection and great way to carry on your belt/pants.

i just recieved the generic version of this case from ebay for 8 bux same style and everything. i have the white with clear backing. the white is kind of has a matte finish thats tpu and does get dirty pretty fast. the clear part is some type of hard plastic. ill take some snaps shots after work.
edit:
going over the case fully i have noticed the cut out for the top mic is a little out of place and the cut out for the usb is too small to fit the usb carger. also the clear back part picked up scratches way too easy.
works with the aluminum metal back cover.

I always use antiglare screen protectors but this one is a bit on the thicker side. It went on very easy and no bubbles whatsoever but I can add the worst screen protector without bubbles. Having the white surrounding area is new for me. Looks good but for the price I would wait for that Glass coming out from SGP.

Almost bought black for that reason (since the white back would still show through the clear), but I love the all-white look on some of the images I've seen.

Which poetic case are you referring too? I emailed them a few days ago and they responded saying they didn't have any plans for the flip case style (slimline), but only making a silicone skin case.

Here are a couple I've found in my daily browsing, both the Turtle Series and Revolution series, though middle of next month to end of next month pending which one.

I ordered this one yesterday and it looks very much like the Poetic Slimline cases. I'll have to see how it works after it arrives, though, but the price is hard to beat and I like that it offers some drop protection for the corners.

I couldn't find a better thread, so I was hoping for assistance here. I just got the revolution case, but the screen protector on the inside has an oily sheen when it presses against the screen. Any suggestions on the best way to remove that after popping the tablet back out of the case? It is bad enough that it impacts the display quality significantly.
Thanks!

The screen protector is glued on to the inside of the front frame so you can heat it up with a blow dryer or a heat gun then pry it up at a corner and peel it back. Otherwise you can take a razor and just cut around the opening of the frame and it should do the trick.

Oh! I'm sorry, I was not specific enough. I was hoping to clear off the oily sheen effect, not actually removing the screen protector. Thank you though for those steps.
pretty sure the sheen is the screen protector material itself and not some kind of coating. The oldschool ballistic cases used to do this and one of the possible solutions was to sprinkle some baby powder on it to prevent it from sticking.
A trick that worked for the Otterbox on my wife's Galaxy S3 might work here as well:
First clean the display and the inside of the screen protector. Get some baby powder and while leaving the top closed shake up the container to get the powder into a fine dust inside. Take the screen protector and hold it above the shaken baby powder bottle(?), open the top of the powder and squeeze the bottle so a powder cloud comes out and slightly dusts the inside of the screen protector.
Put the case back together and hopefully the oily film is gone. Clean/Repeat as necessary.
There are videos on YouTube showing this solution. Some use the powder on the device, I think it's wiser to do it on the case/screen protector.
