I recently dropped phone and lcd broke so i ordered new digitizer and lcd and fitted it but now phone wont turn on...everything is in its place,i checked dosen times but still nothing. tried charging the battery but no help What else could go wrong
update:
so, i left it on charger for half an hour and did hard reset and it just vibrates, nothing else...wont show led or its charging, nothing
Pro or mini same are you sure u got the correct one (im sure u have) but more info needed
Yea i got parts right, but it wont turn on,now it flashes red led when "charging" or trying to turn on
Red led usually means batt below 10%. If it blinks red when trying to start phone then it means not enough power to start
Try to go to a store an ask for a batt so you can test and se if it starts.
I was thinking about connecting a bst-38 battery from xperia mini pro,but dont know how to connect it on xperia mini connector without burning phone or something
the bst-38 used by the mini pro has a different connector, on the mini pro - the battery is connected with pins touching the metal contacts. On the other hand, the mini uses a cable (I think, correct me if wrong) so you cannot use the pro's battery for the mini.
Yes,you are right, but i meant to connect it over custom made cable and just start phone so i could charge its battery.

something like this, but i am afraid i might burn phone
Borrow a friends x10 mini and plug in into yours.

Hey guys, I have x10 mini pro and I lost my charger 2 days ago. Luckily I lost only the charger, not the data cable so I could use my pc to charge it via usb port. But I notice that charging via usb is very slow,i need to turn off my phone to get it faster,so I tried to use my samsung monte's charger since it use micro usb too. But every time I connect the charger my phone get very weird,i cannot touch the screen. And sometimes the screen like touching itself on random point,it keeps on and on even I disconnect the charger,i have to pull the battery out to force the phone off and then turn it on again. I have tried blackberry charger and had the same problem. It's so hard to find SE original charger on my place any1 has a solution?

I use an old Nokia N85 charger which works a treat and charges fast too.
I tried the charger for HTC Wildfire and it worked normally. during charging, I had no problems with the phone
Any charger that outputs more than 500 mA will do fine.
Thx guys, i'll try it

Hello
My prime was charged a few weeks ago, and i haven't used it in a while so it discharged and turned off.. Now when I try to plug It in, it shows that it is charging, but nothing happens..
It charged for 3 hours, and when I unplug it, it can't turn on.
If I leave it plugged in and turn it on, it shows a screen with low battery icon and turns off immediately.
I can charge the keyboard just fine, the charging led on the keyboard turns green after a while.
It's rooted, but stock rom and have never unlocked it, so no customer recovery..
Hope someone can help me out :/

It sounds like your battery may have died on you.
Are you using the AC charger or the usb charger?
Mine takes a long time on the usb but charges better on ac.
Are you charging them both while docked, if so try undocking and charging them separately.
How old is the battery, Prime now?
The battery is guaranteed for 12 or 24 months also, just check where your serial number is and it will have a 12 or 24 number on the right under your model number.
Also,l check the charging port and make sure no debris or foreign matter has accumulated in it and some of the pins aren't bent.
If none of this works it means you have an internal problem and a different recovery won't help because you still cannot get it charged.
Post back with your results please.

I've tried both charging it through USB from my computer and through the wall charger (original charger and cable).
I've tried charging it both docked and undocked, separate and together.
The Prime is bought about 7 months ago, and i have checked for dust and such in the various parts.
It says "12" below the serial number btw, but i bought it from England (i live in Denmark) though Amazon, so it would be hard for me to return it..
Though there is 1 thing that is bugging me and i'm not sure if it can be the problem.
There is 1 pin that's not aligned with the others on the charger port on the prime itself
Picture to explain: http://i45.tinypic.com/2r4sw7t.jpg
The 2nd pin from the far left is a bit longer inside the device than the others. I've tried to get it out by using a little metal stick (don't know what its called ) but I've been unsuccessful..
The prime obviously gets some sort of connection when i plug it in (though only if i plug it into the wall charger, doesn't happen with USB, which i kinda predicted) and gets enough power to vibrate, then turn on for about 4 seconds to show a big red battery icon (meaning low power) and then turns off..
I've tried to correct the pins on the wall charger so they're more stable and connect better, i've tried putting the wall charger in the freezer for 20min (google'd it as a possible solution, other said it helped them). I currently don't have any other charger or cable that can connect/charge the prime, but i don't think the problem lies with the charger/cable..
I left the dock+prime docked together charging all night and when i woke up, the dock LED was green but it still wasn't able to boot up at all..
Is there anything i can do to reset the Prime? I've tried the little pin hole under the sd card slot, i've tried various combinations of volume up and volume down and power, but i always end up with the screen with the big red battery icon..

I am 90% sure that 2nd pin from the left is your problem. if you cant find a way to pop it back into place or dont know somebody who can do it for you then you should probably rma.
here is a thread about the pinout. Take a look at the diagram on post 6 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1630300&highlight=pinout
Hi there,
My TFP won't charge or be recognized by my iMac. I have changed the battery, no joy; I replaced the charging port; no joy; and got new charger and cable even though all my others charged other devices, .
Any ideas? Much appreciated

This happened to me because the battery connector inside the device was loose, I had to open up the device up and re-connect it. This time, I've placed some tape to try and make it not fall out again. Maybe the battery is faulty?
I have a Xperia U, supplied with EP800 charger, but I charged my phone with an iphone charger, because EP800 had this weird sound while charging that bothered me. It went 3 weeks with no problems until one night, left my phone charging but then on the next morning it was dead: no power, no blinking led, no safe mode, even no flashmode, nothing, just had this orange led while connected to the (iPhone) charger or the PC, but nothing else, obviously no sony logo or anything booting.
Ive searched through forums and concluded that it was HW issue. I sent it into technical service and they gave it back with "no issues detected".
Then arrived home, connected to the (iPhone) charger and nothing, so finally, just to try, I connected the phone to the supplied charger and, guess what, it started charging with no issues...
So, some advice if you are using alternative chargers is to check the charger if you face some of this problems, dunno if it happens or P or Sola.
BTW EP800 charge have 5v 850mA output, might be useful if yours died.
I've never charged my Xperia U with the Sony charger only ever charged it with my HP Touchpad since the day I got it 3-4 months ago, never had a problem.
Seems like The Evil Apple's doing to our beloved androids... ...Just kidding.
Does Apple use high frequency DC chargers?...if yes then maybe it is the reason.I have also used samsung's charger and didn't face any issues.
today i used my phone underwater for a while. before getting into water i checked all plugs. when i came i tried to charge via wall charger but it failed.
then i saw that charger plug was deformed little but there is not any water.
phone fully discharged after a while and can not be opened.
can i solve my problem via magnetic charger ?
i flashed doom kernel, is it software or hardware problem ?
i need help cause i bought my phone from thailand and it is out of warranty.
thanks
1. Try a different charger (USB)
Does it work? Great. Does it still not work? Now you know it's not the charger that's the problem.
2. Open the right flap (with the SIM and SD port) and see if the water indicator is still white. Is it white or pink?
indicator is still white.
also charger works on other device.
when i connect the charger red light turns on for a while then i saw doom kernel picture, then an empty battery icon appears just for 2 seconds and phone closes again.
At morning İ was able to charge my phone and flashed stock kernel with recovery.
I am getting magnetic charger today.i will change the deformed right flap and never gonna use usb port again
I was having a similar issue so I took it to Bell [carrier in Canada] and they said it was a defect so they gave me a brand new updated Ultra. Maybe try that route. But you will lose all your data
