As the title says, I have the [iGrip car mount](http://www.htcdepot.com/igrip-perfektfit-charging-dock/3A78A8613.htm) and it has been my experience trying out phone protectors at the Sprint store that none of the cases fit into it.
Are there any nice cases that will fit in the car mount?
P.s. I know that the insert pulls out.
the two piece snap together cases fit, the bodyglove cases are slightely too big and they wont stay in the charge position.
the igrip car dock dash mount sucks it wobbles too much and doesn't have an adjustment knob at the neck like the pictures show.
I have had good luck with the hard plastic cases as well as the TPU cases. I even got my OB commuter to work with some mods.

I just got mine in today and I have the tpu hybrid case. can't get it to fit! I feel screwed by buying this. I would hate to have to take my case off each time to use the igrip

It actually fits with the tpu hybrid! just had to remove a plastic piece.

Love the tpu-cases. And they fit perfectly after removing the igrip insert. Love the combo!
The Body Glove Vibe kickstand case works perfectly with the iGrip. Great combo. I have gotten over the purple color. Chicks seem to dig it.

The fit is incredible on the Platinum or Seidio case with the kickstand. I can confirm that this combo will be what I stay with on this phone for sure.
I had the iGrip PerfectFit charging dock. I tried to fit it with my Seidio Surface case with no avail, neither fits not close to touch the microUSB attachment. It's going back to the online store for a refund. Bummer.
I guess I have to wait for Seidio to come out an equivalent car mount as for the EVO 4G with Surface case. That mount from Germany is sick!

I think a lot of people don't realize there's an insert in the igrip dock that you can take out if you have a case on your phone. It won't fit something as monstrous as an otterbox, but my tpu hybrid case fits perfectly

Yup, I tried all the cases my Sprint store had and it didn't fit despite removing the insert.

Can someone confirm the Seidio Surface case does work with the iGrip? I think I saw both a yes and a no in this thread.

I've got an evo 3d with a tpu case and am looking for a dock that it would fit in so I can dock it while I'm at work.

Already a few threads on this. With that said I have the exomount universal mount and its great 20$ on Amazon and it sticks really well the grip is strong and sized well enough I can miss both the volume and camera buttons I've used it with no case ballistic soft gel and the platinum cases all with no problem.

So you use a car mount at work? It sticks to your desk pretty good? The desks in my office would not allow a suction cup to stick. I'm about ready to make my own to work with a tpu.
I have the Ebay dock with a spot in the back for an extra better. Queue great with many thin cases. Tpu, Otterbox commuter, Seidio Surface, Otterbox Impact, etc. I have 0 complaints and I've had it since just after the Evo 3D launch

igrip works with tpu and hard case. i have it and its awesome.
I'm using a spider podium at work. I wanted a dock that I could use in portrait mode - and the spider podium works great once I got it shaped the right way. It's sturdy enough that I can use my phone and swipe as usual.
I'm surprised no one's made a dock that could be used in both portrait and landscape mode. It would just need L-shaped material - with the phone dropped in in landscape, then rotated as needed. It would seem an easy enough feature to add.

Does anyone know of a case that fits both the nav dock and desktop dock without the need to remove the case? I see the docks come with an adaptor plate that is used with cases, but which cases work? Want a good case that doesn't add too much bulk to carry in pocket and maybe on belt but also goes in docks.

You would need either a thin, silicone case, one of the invisible shield-type skins, or a case that doesn't have anything near the ports on top of the phone.
I tried the Otterbox commuter case (the thinner of the two) with an HD station in the Verizon store here. Removing the insert on the dock allowed the ports to line up properly, but the male connectors were not long enough to make proper contact. Removing the plastic, outer case may have helped here, but not by much.
Have you tested it with one of the silicone cases?
I have both the Mobi hard shell and the Otterbox commuter cases. The otterbox fit really snug in the travel dock and charges fine. The 2piece mobi hard shell case fits the travel dock a little loose but works fine also.
My friend has the otterbox commuter case working with the home dock. He said he had to remove a very little amount of plastic from the dock with a hand file.
I have the incipio two-piece case (hard/soft shell combo) that fits very well.

I can confirm both of these about the commuter series otterbox. Fits really nicely in the travel dock with the insert removed. I thought the otterbox was made for it it fit so well.
The home dock on the other hand is another matter. I think ill try what your friend has done as it seems the hard plastic piece seems to be the troubling piece. Ill let you all know what i find. Hopefully posting some pics later on this week.
I have the Boxwave Duo Suit they are also known as the Cimo-S case (they appear to be identical). These fit but you need to remove the insert from the dock.

The belt clip combo case that Verizon sales fits in the Navigation dock. At first I thought that it wouldn't work because it was too snug of a fit, but a few days later I realized that there was an insert that I needed to remove from the dock. After a little pry work, the insert popped out and it fits securely enough.

Yeah I don't know. I'm not sure there is anything that is big enough out there to hold this phone with abgell case on.
I will say that I really like the gel case and I really would love also to find something that works.

I have the Boxwave Unicolor case and it fits in the Pdair vertical leather belt holster wonderfully. I'd wager the horizontal pdair one has similiar extra room. Not sure though.

I work in Aboriculture and nearly destroyed my iPhone 4 due to saw dust & dirt. there's no way in hell Im taking my note to work.
I got one of those dirt cheap pre-pay phones and I forward my calls to it. when I get home, I toss it aside and unforward my calls.

One pic is of the holster by itself, the other is clipped on my pants. Not bulky at all and the clip holds on like a champ; no chance of it coming off.

I prefer belt clips that have a J type of design so that if anything hits the case from underneath, the case cannot slip off the belt. The bottom of the clip catches the belt on the way up. Most tight metal belt clips will slide up if for example, you sit in a tight movie seat and the seat arm pushes up on the bottom of the case and knocks the case off your belt.
Does the PDAir clip on this case have a way of stopping this scenario?
Hmm... I have always liked belt clips/cases but I think the Note is too big to be dangling from my waist. I'd like to order one just to try it out though.
I bought a Nite Ize xlarge belt case with a clip off amazon. It should be here today. The note should fit and may be a snug fit. I has on of these for my Inspire and liked it.
Still waiting for the Nutshell/Tough-as-Nuts case to be released but I'm definitely getting one. They'll even make it oversized for a small upcharge if you want it to fit an add-on shell.

I just bought the Mobo Carrera slim Horizontal case (for the Galaxy Nexus) and I have to say that I'm very happy with it. It fits the LTEvo nice and snug. The phone doesn't budge at all, especially when shaken vigorously. Also magnet doesn't come off when turned upside and shaken hard. The case is nice and slim to complement the slimness of the LTEvo. The interior is outlined in red leather (sort of complements the phone as well). The belt clip is made of metal (but covered in leather) and swivels but the swivel is rigid and doesn't move with little force with is good to me; stays in the position it is set to. Has the opening at the bottom to allow you to push the phone up to easily remove it.
If you are interested in a horizontal case, then this might be the one for you. Just google Mobo Carrera Horizontal case Galaxy Nexus; amazon has it here Mobo Carrera Horizontal Carrying Case. Other site sell it as well.
I bought 2 more slim cases and I'll write about them here as well when they come in this coming week.

Well I didn't keep the other two cases. One was too big for the LTEvo that the phone flopped around in the case. That was a killer for me, so I didn't even bother to give it another thought.
The other one is the one pictured below. It was a case for the Galaxy Nexus so it didn't really fit all that well. Don't get me wrong the case was well designed but the dimensions were just short of fitting the LTEvo. The LTEvo was hanging out of the case. If they make one specifically for the LTEvo, it would be worth investing in it.

Ditto to the above I like a gorm fitting holster but I never go out without a case. For work I use the Otterbox commuter with the seido active holster but for regular use, I use a thin TPU case. I have yet to find a holster that is thin and long enough to fit the phone with a TPU case.
Any suggestions?

Even I loved it, and I really dislike holsters in general.
Just got a new Evo 4G LTE after my trusty OG 4G usb port broke this weekend. I got the Sprint Car Dock and trying to find a case that works with it. The description on the case says it fits 'most' cases but doesn't have any tested cases listed. I tried the Otterbox Defender case and it was just a bit too thick in the middle to fit into the case.
For those that have this dock, what case are you using?

Any TPU case should work. I'm using one of the cruzerlite androidify TPU cases. And it still had lots of wiggle room so I added the included foam pads in to make it fit perfectly.
the Otterbox Comuter series worked ok. i like the car dock. Works real good. and that new car dock interface is awesome
The Dizitronic TPU case works. The Ventev Edge case DOESN'T work in the car dock.
