If you flash back to 1.8.3. YOU WILL HAVE A DAM HARDBRICK
why gb stock already upgraded your bootloader so DO NO DO IT
About your question you can easy unlock in GB stock, you can run my script if you want to

Don't know what forums you came from mate, we're not trolling here. Unless you post a question in the development forum, which you didn't! ;-)
You need to be on 1.8.3 to unlock. No clue about permaroot.

Sorry but is NOT A MUST to be in 1.8.3
But I agree is the smart way to do it, to work around the softbrick for first time users with already 2.3.4/4.5.91

DISCLAIMER:- I take no responsibility if anything happens to your phone while doing this. You are doing this at your own risk
It says you can root any GB Motorola phone, I can now say that my friend who has an Atrix on froyo tried it and got it to work perfectly...same with GB..Cheers to p3droid again for this!

How is this the wrong section? Correct me if I am wrong but isn't this section for discussing Atrix Android Development?
Anyway, if it is wrong, then I would appreciate you telling me what section it is supposed to be in and not being cryptic .

Yeah...so are you devving this? If not, then wrong section. This should be in the General forums. Dev forum is for devs and people to provide feedback.

I was going to post a link but can't until I reach 8 posts
Go to youtube and search nat3mil install custom roms. He has a lot of useful videos.
I bought my atrix already rooted and it has gingerblur 4.5 on it.
As im not really knowledgeable on roms and such i have mainly 2 doubts
My first is on using rom manager over my already romd phone...is that safe or a recipe for bricking my phone.
My second is on going back to stock...not familiar with the process im told it is necesary for the gingerbread upgrade.

You have a bit of reading ahead of you. First of all you need to unlock the bootloader..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1154600
Don't be fooled gingerblur is NOT A FULL ROM
