Which HBOOT version do you currently have?
hboot ver. 6.02.1002
You should be able to run the RUU to revert to a stock, un-rooted ROM. The HBOOT won't be downgraded, but you don't really need to downgrade it. You wouldn't even notice any difference in normal day to day use.
Edit: You will either need to install a Sense ROM before you begin the RUU process or you can put the phone on the FASTBOOT menu.
I can do that the problem with that is the OTA updates wont be able to work as clockworkmod cannot apply OTA, unless someone has a RUU of 2.3 then i wont need it, otherwise the only Ruu i can get is a early 2.2 and im looking for the WWE or Asia version I dont like the Aus one even though im in New Zealand.

Well, as far as I know, you can receive OTA updates if you have the ROM installed. I don't think your HBOOT or recovery will matter, although I'm not positive. HOWEVER, you have no reason to worry about it anyway. There won't be any future OTA updates for the Aria, so it doesn't matter.
correct, I am able to recieve them, but the OTA fails to apply as it doesnt liek the clock work mod, if i try to go through just clockworkmod recovery it also fails to apply the update saying it cannot apply OTA's

What OTA are we talking about?
Oh my mistake, I ment I can get Asia 2.1-update 1 and no later, the Over the air update that comes after that( phone downloads it ) fails to apply, Btw I get my RUU from Shipped-roms.com
Im busy doing the OTA update right now.. it seams to be working, unlike last time i tried.. I dunno why either, Ill update with results..
ok apparently im updated to 2.37 or something.., but the android version is 2.2 now so atleased the OTA's work

Quickest most up to date way to unroot? Thanks.

I got a new phone and gonna give my 3d to my younger brother but i'm rooted and need to update the profile so that the numbers can be transferred. Can someone give me a hand to unroot or just point me in the right direction. Thanks guys.
If all you need to do is update the profile, you could flash a Rom that allows it, such as a GB Rom.
To unroot, you just need to relock the bootloader and then run an ruu.exe for your carrier and region. This will put your phone back to stock.

Unroot TELUS HTC One HELP!!

I have a rooted HTC One from Telus.
I know you cannot OTA update the phone when its rooted it keeps giving an error during the update.
I want to unroot and return to stock.
I found found a Nandroid backup for TELUS as the RUU is not available.
Can someone please help with steps on how to restore the device so I can do the carrier updates on the device.... I don't care about the tamper stuff...
I know Telus will be releasing the KIT KAT update shortly and I want to do the carrier update.
Please help!!!
I am really sorry if this has already been discussed in a thread but I have searched high and low and I can't find any clear information for the Telus device.
Please if we can keep this just to the TELUS variant I will really appreciate it as I see so many threads go sideways!
Thank you for any help anyone can shed!!
CMD line is just fastboot oem lock. If you are looking at Nandroids, I am guessing you have installed custom recovery, maybe a custom ROM? If not, re-locking will give OTA updates, I am pretty sure of. I also think that the AIO toolkit works on TELUS http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183942. Worth a shot. Maybe someone else who has tried can chime in.
Hey Thanks for the reply I actually figured it out... long process but easy...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2383992&page=6
I left out a few steps listed in the original thread... worked like a charm.. i didn't care for the tamper .. I left S off and was able to do all of the OTAs..... if anyone else needing help this is what I did... if not refer to the original thread to reset the tamper and re-lock....
1. changed CID back to ATT (CWS__001)
2. re-ran ATT RUU
3. changed CID back to TELUS001
4. booted TWRP
5. ran a simple backup so I could know the correct location to copy the TWRP stock nandroid
6. booted the phone
7. copied the stock twrp nandroid to the right location ( /TWRP/BACKUPS/XXXX/...
8. booted twrp
9. restored backup

[Q] Stuck in Bootloader

Hello all, I know this is an old phone so not many people care for it anymore, but I was trying to get mine back to stock so I can use it while the phone I am using now is out for repairs. I am having issues getting it back to stock though and these issues resulted in my phone becoming stuck in bootloader. I have relocked my phone and tried both flashing a PG86IMG.ZIP from bootloader and from fastboot, both of them fail. Is there maybe a step I am missing? Or possibly have I completely bricked my phone? Could it be that I need a more updated RUU? (they have been kinda hard to find, it seems that a lot of the mirrors have been taken down.)
Thank you in advance for your help.
Is there a fail message? Do you remember what version rom you had?
Can't remember what version rom I had. It has been a while since I have done anything with it.
You locked with custom rom, recovery, or kernel. Looks like stock was v2.95 or v2.89 problem is they never released a full PG86img.zip for 2.95
I've an update which might fix it or possible 2.89 zip might work. Will upload them when I can. But if you can unlock, then it might be possible to edit misc partition to allow you to install an older rom
