Hi all. i need help. i have tried everything to unroot and lock my incredible 4g lte. I cant unroot it and tried running a stock rom but it sat at the sending............. part for about an hour. I have relocked it but occasionally when i go into bootloader it says system warning and my bootloader also says tampered which i also want to get rid of. Please help unroot and return my device back to stock everything. I am patient and will listen to it all.

Hey everyone. I have to send my device back to HTC and I am unlocked with S-off.
I need to get back to locked and S-on. Not Re-locked but locked.
I have done some searching and am finding various results on how to accomplish this. 1 way was to flash a RUU to achieve locked status. I did that twice and it hasn't worked.
I also saw to redo s-off. So does that mean doing the wire trick over again?
Some help would be appreciated.

Why do you need to send your device back to HTC? If you're trying to claim warranty repairs, then what you're doing is potentially akin to fraud.
That said...yes, it IS possible to S-ON again, and it is also possible to change the Re-Locked watermark to Locked. But, if you don't do it right, you WILL brick your phone. Not as in "might" as you could do while S-Off, but WILL, as in ANY mistake will result in an unrecoverable phone (unless you have a friend who's extremely handy with JTAG).
Locked not Relocked
There are only 2 ways to remove the Relocked status when S-0ff::
First and the most effort is to S-0n then S-0ff again, yech.
Second, search for and find here on XDA, Scotty's little
flashable zip that changes it. He contributed a lot here.
Bing, bang, boom in one little flash.
p.s. be sure you are on a stock hBoot, not developer ones.
Thanks guys,
Im just going to send it back re-locked. I went back to s-on. I didnt want to just have it SAY locked, I wanted it to be Locked but no thanks to having to go through the s-off process.
Also in case you were interested the reason im sending it back is I think the processor is dying. I get system crashes and will get prompts that it is unresponsive. The phone sort of works but will crash after making phone calls and such.
Guys I have a S on, relocked bootloader, for my google edition htc one. It was unlocked, and I recieved the ota 4.4.2 and the stock recovery never installed the update. Then i seen some where on here to just relock the phone, and it should install no problem. Well that didnt work, and now I cant unlock the phone or flash a custom recovery to it. Please help guys. I really want to just totally wipe the phone and flash another rom on it to get it unlocke and s off. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I'm trying to get back to full stock (which I am) but on my bootloader it says relocked and I want to get back to locked so I can use my JUMP thing from T-mobile. Any tips on what i should do?

Need more info:
What firmware are you on? Are you S-Off? If you are S-Off, what did you use to achieve it?
The easiest way, assuming you want 4.3 fully stock is to use the RUU that tmobile provides.
Hi,
I know there are a million and one threads detailing how to get a HTC Desire X back to original status but with every thread I read I'm getting more and more confused
I have to send the phone back to the manufacturer and obviously need to undo what I've done.
I never actually managed to root the phone - only to unlock the bootloader and install clockworkrecoverymod. I should probably have asked for help then but life got in the way.
The CID of the phone is [HTC__001] and it's a european phone (bought via amazon in the uk if that's any help).
I'm thinking that all I have to do is to remove clockwork recovery mod and relock the bootloader?
Does anyone know how I can remove cwm? or is it stuck there and the relocking of the bootloader will render it hidden?
And with the installation of cwm, is this why I cannot reset my phone to factory data settings? I attempt to and it reboots (even using clockwork recovery mod) but I boot up the phone and it still has everything on it.
Any help would be extremely appreciated.
Thanks
Hey everyone,
I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I was running Lollipop 5.0.2 with my phone rooted, unlocked, and had previously run ROM cleaner. I attempted to reset my phone since I'm planning on selling it, and now its screwed up. Immediately following the reset attempt, I got a screen saying Android updating, optimizing apps (and it ran through all the apps that i was attempting to delete). Then once the phone cycled and booted up, i got "Unfortunately system UI has stopped." Not exactly sure what to do. Heres a picture of my bootloader. Oh and I don't believe I had any backups created. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
reflash.
Relock the bootloader and RUU to (almost) full stock.
But you should still make the buyer aware the phone was at one point modded. It will say RELOCKED on the bootloader screen, instead of the factory condition which is LOCKED. Plus, HTC has a record of the bootloader being unlocked by HTCDev.com.
