[Q] Cannot Unlock Bootloader - AT&T HTC One (M7)

Guys I have a S on, relocked bootloader, for my google edition htc one. It was unlocked, and I recieved the ota 4.4.2 and the stock recovery never installed the update. Then i seen some where on here to just relock the phone, and it should install no problem. Well that didnt work, and now I cant unlock the phone or flash a custom recovery to it. Please help guys. I really want to just totally wipe the phone and flash another rom on it to get it unlocke and s off. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

[Q] Bootloader Unlock not working

I downloaded the hBoot upgrade RUU, everything goes fine then it tell's me I'm not updated to the latest version... xx.xxx.406(?).xxx even though I am when I go to phone settings. I even downgraded by RUU and did an OTA to make sure it was HTC official and not rooted. Any ideas?
That program never worked for me... If you are rooted you can get an unlocked bootloader by flashing a package found here
Thanks very much.. it's such a shame as I really wanted to see what HTC had to offer. I didn't even need it much I had a custom recovery before and could do anything from there I jsut wanted to try stock

[Q] Help Restoring a HTC Desire X to Warranty

Hi,
I know there are a million and one threads detailing how to get a HTC Desire X back to original status but with every thread I read I'm getting more and more confused
I have to send the phone back to the manufacturer and obviously need to undo what I've done.
I never actually managed to root the phone - only to unlock the bootloader and install clockworkrecoverymod. I should probably have asked for help then but life got in the way.
The CID of the phone is [HTC__001] and it's a european phone (bought via amazon in the uk if that's any help).
I'm thinking that all I have to do is to remove clockwork recovery mod and relock the bootloader?
Does anyone know how I can remove cwm? or is it stuck there and the relocking of the bootloader will render it hidden?
And with the installation of cwm, is this why I cannot reset my phone to factory data settings? I attempt to and it reboots (even using clockwork recovery mod) but I boot up the phone and it still has everything on it.
Any help would be extremely appreciated.
Thanks

Possibly Bricked My Phone

So today I think I really messed up I will tell you the run down. I first put on twrp and then flashed a custom rom. After that the rom wasn't working properly so I tried to revert back to stock without a backup (I know I am dumb ). After reverting back to stock unsuccessfully I locked the bootloader not knowing that it wouldn't let me launch into the already installed custom software's so now I am stuck in download mode not able to unlock bootloader for some reason and not able to access the rom and the recovery. Any help would be very appreciated. Have I really bricked my phone?
can't you just run an RUU since your bootloader is relocked?

If Security is off (S-Off), do I have to unlock the Bootloader?

Hi, guys! I'm new to modifying the Android OS, and have a question that I haven't been able to find the answer to, so I was hoping that some of you guys could shine some light on my situation. I have a HTC One Max (T6#UL), running 4.4.2 with HTC SDK API level 6.20 (If that's relevant), that I received from work. When I boot it into the Bootloader, it says that the Bootloader is locked, and S is-Off. What I want to do is root it, and install a new ROM, but I'm confused on what exactly to do in this case. I've read that because S is Off, this overrules unlocking, and I can go ahead and install custom recovery (TWRP) now. Is this the case? Do I have to FDR before doing it? What is the best method to go about this? Please let me know if you need any phone/bootloader info.

I would because as you will find out you can't simply flash twrp as is now. You need an ruu mode version of twrp to flash instead of flashing normally.

Okay, thank you, Dottad! This helps a lot.

If you are "Locked" and "S-OFF", that likely means somebody locked it afterwards to use the fingerprint sensor, since that requires a locked bootloader.
What you need now is to go to the bootloader and execute a couple of specific commands.
I believe the specific thread here has the instructions.
I actually did this once to try the fingerprint sensor. Had to figure out the hard way that "fastboot oem unlock" doesn't work after you S-OFF.
After you unlock, you don't need anything else. You can just flash TWRP normally via fastboot.

Locked Bootloader w/ no OS installed...

Hey guys,
I dun goofed...
Don't ask how, but I am currently in a situation of having a locked bootloader and no OS to boot into so I can unlock it again.
The good news is, I have TWRP installed, but I just can't figure out what I need to flash to get the OS back.
Any help?
Should have figured it out earlier but for some reason it didn't cross my mind.
I hadn't been able to flash the stock image, but installing a rom from here via twrp got me back into Android. All is good now.
Are you able to access the hboot menu or bootloader menu
