OK I'm not trying to be a benchmark junkie but after upgrading to P3's GB and freezing up all the useless crap I have been getting Quadrant scores between 2400-2500. I've noticed other members running the same setup running 2800+ and was just curious if there is something that I'm missing that is bottlenecking my performance. Any ideas?

I also get 2400-2500.
I think people just exaggerate.
I'm getting 2400-2500 on the stock, unrooted, bloated update.
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA Premium App
Makes sense. Guess I'm good to go
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA Premium App
I also get about 2500 on rooted gb.
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
you can also "trick" quadrant.
For example run it twice in a row in quick succession. Your second run will always be a little higher.
Or kill 3g and data and run it. It will vary sometimes upwards of 600-700 points
I got 2900 with rooted debloated GB running Zeam launcher. Also have 200mb at any given time.
I have heard that quadrant is junk for benching GB.

Also depends on the amount of apps you have installed I got 2800 debloated and no installed apps after I installed my 200apps I get around 2600

Quadrant only shows 1 core, try smartbench
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
I get 2700+. 2.3.3 rooted. Adw launcher ex. No bloat removed. All my apps downloaded and setup
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
With Quadrant I usually get 2400-2500 first run, up to 2800+ after a few runs with rooted Gingerbread, with my normal background apps running, with some unwanted Blur stuff frozen.
That's a heck of a lot better than with the stock 2.2.2 Froyo, I'd get between 1800-2100 with that.
Smartbench:
~2700 Productivity (consistently)
~2600 Gaming (consistently)
Try Antutu benchmark. It's known to be more accurate and stricter

Try going to 2.3.4 and rooting/debloating that...p3's update.zip we have is 2.3.3 rooted...2.3.4 runs great for me very snappy...I actually keep going back to stock lol
I am getting 2900-3100 with quadrant (highest 3111) and 4815 with antutu. I am running eclipse 1.2 with 0vermind's speedy v6 script and sdcard speed app. Also I'm running launcher pro plus.
Consistent 2990 on Quadrant. It only varies by a few points after several runs.
Rooted, running a mix of Speedy and navendrobs scripts. ADW Launcher and WhatsApp running along with DoubleTwist.

Hey all you Eris heads, i was wondering if anyone has tips on making Angry Birds run faster on our lil Eris'es. I love my phone and Angry Birds but the lag is bad. Im running setCPU at 710 max, 245 min priority 100. Anything i can do to increase the speed?? I really wanna kill pigs faster
Sent from my FroyoEris using XDA App
All you need is 2 9v batteries, three of those metal cored garbage bag twisties, and 2 rolls of ducktape.
But if you do figure out a way, I would give props.
The lag is not eris specific, it is being reported on a lot of devices. I'm sure the revs will get it worked out.
BTW this is not a dev related post, should be moved to the apps thread.

If you're rooted check out adfree in the market, makes a huge difference, actually playable now.

Downgrade to v1.3.5. There are some missing graphics here and there but its much faster on the Eris than the current 1.4.2.

That's only to a degree. The lag is about the same once you get half way thru the second part of level one. At least that has been my experience.
Sent from my Floyo Tazz using XDA App
Turning off the radio helps (via airplane mode) helps, but the graphics are still hard to handle.
Sent from my ERIS using XDA App
I don't see why graphics would be the issue here. I play much more graphic intensive games that work way better then my experience with angry birds. The ads, now that I think about it, could be the culprit. Going to try the suggestion made earlier to block the ads and see if the performance is increased.

Droid x vs eris.. any thought among my fellows .. fellows is a funny word. I know about the thunder bolt.. btw.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA Premium App
Well I've played around with Droid x a lot rooted a buddies for him and install liberty rom Im pretty sure Droid x isn't supported by cm7 so if you like cm7 your out of luck. I'd rather have Druid x over Eris for the memory speed and ram. But I'd rather stick with HTC. I don't jnie what I'm going to do with more then 50mbs of ram extra when I get a upgrade in November haha. But luckily we have get devs to keep the Eris running smooth and kepping up with the times with 2.3
Sent from my ERIS using Tapatalk
Yeah. Love Eris Dev ppl. I'm running liberty now. And no cm7. But would like this raw power and cram it in an Eris problally the perfect phone ty for the feed back its a little disconcerting going to a new forum. Even after the 1.5 years with an Eris.

I used to be getting 3200-3600 on my gs 2 but ever since I flashed unnamed 1.3 and icscrewed 1.1 I've been getting score ranging from 2800-3200
Is this suppose to happen?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
The numbers mean absolutely nothing as far as how the phone runs. If they go up or down doesn't mean anything unless you like showing off your epeen....
Benchmarks don't mean that much (except large differences 1000+). How quick does the phone respond? Does it feel fast? If so great. If not, keep working.
Sent from my páhhōniē
I see.
I'm not a least bit regret about flashing unnamed because my phone is ridiculously fast right now.
I guess quadrant score really doesn't mean anything lol

really? you should be getting around 9,999,999 if you're using quadrant. thats about how accurate that app is. its a worthless piece of junk that you shouldn't use to measure the speed of your device dude. just use your phone and weight it out from real-world user experience.
Has anyone been able to find/install it using the market, and if so witch ROM/OS version are you running?

It could be that you are on 2.3.5 since 2.3.5 isnt official yet. That might be another reason why I'll hold off on updating until its official.

What's the version number and build number for 2.3.4? Because just changing the prop to look like 2.3.4 didn't work

EDIT: I got it working, just flashed the mash-up Build Prop for 2.3.4,had to clear cache and Dalvik
Well it took 72 minutes to download with 3g and was 423mb but wow it was worth it. Reminds me of how cool it was 10 years ago. Never thought that I could be playing it on a phone. It is exactly as I remember with nothing left out so thank you Rockstar

Same here lol not a good thing to do on the side walk.
I just downloaded it and it's working fine here on Eclipse 2.0.2. I couldn't download it from the Market on 2.0.2 since it said it was incompatible. I used my last 1.3 nand to download the .apk then applied it to 2.0.2, then waited as it downloaded the 400+ MB of files. Plays fine, although a little choppy in spots.
running on eclipse 1.3rc2, not really seeing any issues w/ game play, seems pretty smooth. Using tweaked minfrees and sd read ahead, not sure if this even matters (1536,3072,20992,22784,24832,32000)(2048). Just wish there was support for the wii controller...
Working fine for me
Anyone else have trouble when downloading the required files? I've tried about a half a dozen times over wi-fi and it will finish downloading all but 1% (says 3 files left) and it just hangs.
Haven't tried it over 3g, mostly because the service in my area is horrid.
you have to wait longer, i thought it hung too but it's not, just give it time, and i had to reboot once before it played correctly.
I think maybe the large gap in time is because it is moving it from cache to the android/data location. Just try again, and give it time. it will work
Agreed, give it time at the end. Works fine for me on Liberty rc31. Every once in a while it shutters, but not often. LOVE THIS GAME!

Been using the RAM booster app for a day now cause of noticing I was only having average of 180MB of RAM at any given time, and it has seemed to work so far, says it clears about 250mb leaving me with a solid 350-400mb open and the phone feels quicker than new...has anyone else had this experience with this app or any like it??

I've been using Greenify for more than a week I think and its not like a normal task killer app. It hibernates apps when they're not in use, I haven't noticed much lag after using this my phone is buttery smooth everything is stock I just have all the apps I use often and don't need running in background on the app and it does the job just fine!

I find Greenify for apps and Qualcomm Battery Guru the two best for the Razr HD (Maxx) or any Qualcomm processor phone.
