We put together 13 Custom 540x960 qHD quality splash images for everyone .
We only did 13 to start with and if theres more interest in our work we will
keep producing more . As always we will take requests either by PM or a post
in the thread . The Splash Flasher Tool is from a member on here named
TrueBlue_Drew . Major Thanks to him ! Ive been using this tool for a long time
and its my personal favorite way for flashing . Its also pretty much n00b pr00f
Below is the .zips for the Splash Images and Splash Flasher . If you like our work
please make sure to hit the Thanks button
Splash Flasher Instructions ... (I am not responsible for damage done to your phone , use this at your own risk !)
1: Place image of your choice into the place-image-here folder
2: Click on CLICK-HERE
3: DISREGARD the 480x800 warning this tool works just fine with 540x960 Images .
4: Follow on screen instructions theyre very easy .
5: Enjoy
Update 8-2-11 : if you made a backup of the Original white HTC Splash screen
with the Splash Flasher it will NOT work on your device anymore . This is due
to the program resizing the .img to 480x800 which is NOT compatible with our
devices . I have provided the original white HTC splash below in .png format .
If you wanna go back to the original splash just use this image like you would
any other one .
Splash Images (Theres no double images just subtle differences) ...

The only way it could flash a different image is if you put that image
into the place-image-here folder . make sure that the place-image-here
folder is empty except for only 1 image of what you wanna use .
after i downloaded both zip files i opened and im trying to drag and drop the image into the place image here folder but i get a error saying "no files were found for this operation-nothing to do" and then it shows my cdrive information i have winzip just thought i share that

How can we go about creating an animated splash screen? Or is that a much more involved process?
I believe theres no option for an animated Splash , Hence the reason for Boot & Down animations

How do we go about restoring the stock splash? I made a backup of the stock splash, but I don't see a restore backup option. Is there an adb command I could run to restore it manually?
I tried doing step 7 by moving the backup img to the put your img here directory, but i get the error below

1st of all, thanks cryshop! Nice work, I'm glad you found the time!
2nd, the problem with the zip is, that the whole resources.apk might be different...for example I extracted those files and put them in my .apk...
3rd, does the ROM really need to be de-odexed? What if I put the different png's to my resources.apk ? - edit, You don't have to be deodexed, it works just fine on B 0.1 Rom, which is not.
EDIT2: When I touch the display(screen locked text appears) part of the image sems to lose it's transpatency settings - there is a vivid ende below the text - is this normal?
Thanks!

The black half-transparent rectangle at the bottom causes that. It seems to be something in the xml files which I'm not able to edit. I can retouch graphic files only, sorry for that
nice work! I just made a bit more space between the 2 arrows.
Cause it was overlayed by the text saying: "screen locked" (since in dutch its scherm geblokkeerd) and that's much longer
png is attached for dutch people or people that want more space between the arrows (hope you don't mind cryshop otherwise just tell me and I'll remove it asap)
Really like your work

Hi Cryshop,
Just a question here, but could you make a lockscreen that would correspond with your navbar? It would actually need editing of one png The shape is OK, but the style would look nicer
I tried 3ds max to make one, but I need some study in that

Just upload the pic you want and I'll make it for ya! Just remember to keep in mind that our screen resolution is 540x960.
Rename the files to PG86IMG.zip and run it in Bootloader and your phone shall handle the rest.
I have now posted a VIDEO TUTORIAL for those that were haveing trouble understand the written tutorial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suOrmAEhkOg
SELF EXPLANATION and TUTORIAL
I have attached the cmd tool to make your very splash screen. I got it after a long search and it was created by "Pof" a retired developer back in 2008. A moment in silence for the help he provided to these boards. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405118
Here is the Stock Splash Screen incase you want to revert back. STOCK SPLASH Shouts out to Rydah805 for hooking it up.
1. Download the nbimg.zip I HAVE ATTACHED IT!!!! That other link is a different version.
2. Extract the nbimg.zip to your desktop. It should create a folder called nbimg and should contain the "nbimg" file and the "android-info" txt file. You can create splash screens for other devices as long as you replace this android-info file with its proper one. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT ANDROID-INFO.TXT FILE FOR YOUR DEVICE. THE ONE I HAVE INCLUDED IS FOR THE HTC EVO 3D
3. Create a blank 540x960 image in photoshop and design it however you like. I usually find a photo on deviantart.com and paste it onto the 540x960 blank image I created.
4. Save the file as "splash1.bmp" and it must be 24-bit.
5. Place the splash1.bmp file in your nbimg folder.
6. Open up your command prompt/terminal by holding down shift and right clicking the nbimg folder and selecting open command window here. It should automatically put you into that folders directory otherwise you will have to "cd /" to it's directory.
7. Type "nbimg -F splash1.bmp -w 540 -h 960" into the terminal and press enter. That should create a splash1.bmp.nb file in your nbimg folder.
8. Rename the splash1.bmp.nb file to splash1.img and save it.
9. Add the splash1.img file and android-info.txt file to a zip archive called PG86IMG.zip
10. You should know how to load it into bootloader from this point on.
With that being said, higher res pics will make better quality Splashes. Here is mines for example. Say Hello to Ulquiorra Schiffer, the 4th ESPADA.

If you can photoshop a little they are very easy to make.
Just find a cool battery icon and rebuild it a little
Basically you need 7 .PNG's of 320x480 pixels names charging_animation_01.png --to--chargning_animation_07.png and copy them in your system folder.
but if not, then just check around here, there are more sequences to be found.
I'll make more myself in the future and post them here.

I used photoshop to make my own offline charging animation using the following configuration: 320x480, RGB, 8bit, .PNG format.
Inside the Rom (gallery for example), all .PNG files are perfectly shown; but the odd thing is, all red colors are shown blue in the device during offline charging. Any idea on root of the problem?

You should not use these colors.
Best is always to 'save for web' > shift+ctrl+alt+s
just select PNG-24 there and deselect transparency.
Have 'Convert to sRGB' enabled and set it to monitor colors
if that doesn't work, i really have no clue..

It Dont Work.......
I need help ... go to the thread by xessus here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189934
at the bottom he provided one made by him .....
I dont understand but that version works perfectly in my phone so it is possible...
The Deal....
It works cuz
Its just time consuming!!!
here is the deal.
Windows Instructions:
Find your favorite boot animations.
Copy the Bootanimation.Zip file to your desktop...
Extract this file to your desk top:
You now should have an unzipped bootanimation file folder.
It probally contains two folders with part0, part1 (or something similar)
PS
always save the original bootsamgung.qmg until you get the modified one working***
just use rom toolbox or other root enabled file manager to move the original out and put the modified one in.....
PEACE
follow the steps above and start filling in your JPG's (remember if you have 100 jpgs you need to load the 100 files, thats 100 times...)
next follow the rest of the directions and your done.
after getting use to the software, I made the flaming skull boot in about 25 min.
Hope that helps!:silly:
is it working ?
could you tell me how you do it?
coz only a very few people have got it working...i myself cudn't make it work for some reason but those which others made works on my phone
it may b time consuming but it is better than a zip file of .pngs
it is lighter(sometimes) and faster..

Hey, i made program that generates logo image for Poco. It needs Java 8 or higher!
Download: click
How to use:
Download, unzip pocosplasher-release.zip
Edit images in res/ folder (MAKE SURE that your images are BMP-24!)
Launch pocosplasher.jar with console:
Code:
java -jar pocosplasher.jar
Flash FLASH_ME.img with fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash logo FLASH_ME.img
How to rollback logo:
Flash ORIGINAL.img with fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash logo ORIGINAL.img
Please, report bugs and issues.
I've read somewhere that bootlogo is related to Bootloader & firmware updates. So if i changed it, i must relflash custom logo every time?
Is that correct?

Some ROM such as MIUI, has own logo image, and you needs to reflash your image again.
Hey,
Thanks for the tool, It works, here's my custom logo which replaces the Bootlogo with a Zotac gaming logo.
Screenshots attached
Image has been cropped, but on screen everything is anyways black so don't worry
P.S: All works are properties of their respective owners
P.P.S: ENJOY!

Can u make a zip in recovery my previous device redmi 3s had a zip for it and u can make ur own boot.img with it
didn't people said that due to the F1 can't be saved if bricked because of no EDL mode, changing stuffs like this is not recommended?
Also, can someone please make a dark Pixel boot logo? (like for example here or here, although I dont know if the Pixel 1 2 3 has any differences)
edit: welp I just went and it it anyway. Attached is the modified img for dark Pixel boot logo, plus a flashable zip with both the boot logo and animation and audio from Pixel 2

It's because the size of the image is invalid. I don't know the specific either, but just reduced the size to 1080x1920 worked
