Just looking for font packs to flash only. Thanks will apply
Here's a thread from the OG EVO section:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=801160&highlight=Fonts
I haven't tested these, but they install to the same location, so I don't see why they wouldn't work.

Gonna try a edify font now will report back.
Edify font scripts didn't take. Trying regular ones now
Edit: Nope
a lot of those fonts have been pulled due to infringement of some kind and that thread i believe doesn't get updated anymore.
if your looking for a certain font then thats where google comes to play. some fonts aren't able to be posted on the forums due to copyright. but im sure some searching will get you to what your looking for.
I hear font changer works but hangs and requires battery pull
If you don't have an Evo3d well ...
This flashable zip worked for me. Put the font files in the fonts folder of the zip and flash. Requires a little extra work on your part.
yeah font changer worked last night for me, it got hung up and I had to do a battery pull but the font changed. The flashable fonts don't work so take the files out of the zip and put them in the folder on the sd card that font changer says to.

I understand with some of the more intense morphs. But i tried getting the twitter/fb widget morphs working and it says the theme file is invalid? Even when I move my twitter/fb apps to /system/app as stated with the correct file names. Just wanting to get the ball rollin on theming.
It's probably a compatability problem.
Nexus One and the Vibrant are two different phones and have different specifications and screen size. The only metamorphing thats available at the moment are notification bar customizations (vanilla or black).
Theres a transparent status bar morph as well. Just found it interesting, theyre both high density devices, and almost all the apk morphs posted for the nexus claim that they should work for all high density devices.

they are the same resolution lol, physical size has no changing factor on that. plus its a software themeing, I highly doubt that hardware is taken into account otherwise the vast majority of Android apps would only work on some phones and not a majority of them.
What would be a contributing factor is that the Vibrant runs Touchwiz while the Nexus does not.

im not that deeply into it.. i was just speculating, but yeah its most probable because of TouchWiz and stock Android.
The "Theme file invalid" error is because of a change in the way Metamorph finds theme files. In the early days of MM, theme files were plain text files with a .thm extension. Stericson decided that this was a bad way of doing things, and changed MM to check for .xml files with the info to apply the theme.
Open one of the zips for the themes you're attempting to install. I'd bet that there's a .thm file in there. The older themes will no longer work without converting the .thm file to .xml.
Metamorph doesn't care what phone you're on as long as the screen dpi (hdpi/mdpi), file location, and file name are correct.

I actually figured it out. It was giving me problems after moving apps to /system/app and then applying the morph (app would disappear). turns out after a reboot the app would appear just fine and with the morph! I have already tested out youtube, facebook, twitter, sportstap, geniewidget, audio manager, and pandora transparent widgets, THEY ALL WORK. Looks great too with the transparent status bar.

Search for "Nexus Morphs" or something alone those lines. Theres a thread dedicated solely to morphs for the Nexus, so far I have not found one that doesn't work (pay attention to upload dates to make sure theyre xml format.)
Its a really bad idea to flash anything framework-res with touchwiz it might bootloop.. Remember to do a nandroid...

Don't know if this has been posted before but i thought i'd share my cool find of the week...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=797533
It's a thread on how to change your font on Android.
It's very simple to do, changes all the stock fonts, even things like dolphin browser.
Step 1.. goto market place and download FONT CHANGER LITE, (Free) , you have to be rooted.
Step 2.. Install
Step 3.. Permitt Superuser access
Step 4.. Run the program (it won't find any files)
Step 5.. set up a folder on Sd card called ".fontchanger" (has to have the .)
Step 6.. goto anyfont website that allows free downloading of fonts and download the Zip file
Step 7.. extract the zip to the ".fontchanger folder" making sure that the.ttf file is in that folder
Step 8.. Run Font changer lite.. it will now find your Font (.ttf), it will ask you to accept, then once you have done this the phone will have to reboot for the changes to take effect.
It is so cool.. you now can have ANY font you want as your android font
MY streak is now complete
The program automatically creates .fontchanger in SD card. You dont have to manually create it. Using Sony Sketch. Awesome font.
Thanks for that, but on my install it didn't create the folder.
Been downloading various fonts and experimenting with the look. You can get some crazy fonts lol

I just cherry picked the new Armani font from the Captivate roms.
place these files in the .fontchanger folder on the sd card and load...

@Krad
how did you change your network icon colors?
I use absolute system root tool.
Lets you change font and boot ani if u want. Works on my streak
The one in the notification bar?
I downloaded framework-res.apk from system/framework
Then dragged and dropped graphics from some captivate roms frameworks via winrar.
Copied back to my phone to overwrite.
The other network icon is a launcherpro activity shortcut to wifi network selection.
My colors are messed up with screenshot app. You get the jist of the font from my screenshot.

I couldn't tell any difference from the screenshot, but on my streak, this font is crisper and a little more spread out than OEM font. My tired old eyes thank you also!!!
After 24 hrs. since installing this new font, I have noticed a complete stoppage of FC's during phone calls. My screen density is set at us180 DJ Steve's 1.6.1.
Labels seem to fit the phone buttons (when on a call) better. May be a coincidence, but it's working for me!
Used this to change the font on DJ's 1.7.0. Using the Armani too. Many thanks
Mate,
You have to update your instructions:
After installing font (in this case armani), must reboot byu pulling out battery.
<Mine, booted, no display...after pulling out battery, al is changed>
Thanks mate,
The font is replaced fine, but I use the reboot later option and then power the phone off/on with the power button. I got stuck when I used the reboot now button.
Has anyone figured out how to use a bigger system font on this phone? I tried the older font zip from the OG but the install fails.
The higher resolution in the 3d is nice, but the tiny system font is a problem for me.
Copy the fonts in using root explorer and change permissions to match the others.
You could raise the dpi, I don't know what it would look like though. I tried changing the font using that same method myself and the phone crashes on boot up. I didn't change the permissions, I didn't think I had to.
Flash the single font file
Those of us that just recently started needed reading glasses can sympathize.
Download Font Changer from the Market. It's pretty idiot proof as it always allows a reinstall of the default system font if you screw things up. Has a great "preview" feature that lets you see just how big the fonts are to install. It doesn't specifically say the 3D is supported but I can confirm it works with a rooted ViperROM. I didn't need to do any of the renaming things either.
Good collection of free fonts from here. Just download them and unzip the .ttf files to the .fontchanger directory on the SD card.:
http://www.fontsquirrel.com/
Experimented with a few different fonts, a couple of the "bigger" fonts would be cut off on the bottom or top depending on what application I was in. I ended up settling with the Luxi-Sans font and am pretty happy with it. Don't need my glasses scrolling through my call directory anymore!
Here's the direct link to the Luxi-Sans font I'm using:

Anyone have a Dark themed Google Voice? That would go with FunkenEclipse?
Anyone know how to theme this and up for the challenge?
** UPDATE **
Here is a working DarkGrey/Green themed version of GoogleVoice (0.4.2.32) if anyone wants it.
*Thanks to xkape*

Okay, So I've been trying everything I can think of, have done alot of reading. Really could use some help here guys. If anyone can give me some pointers I would greatly appreciate it.
I DLed the Google Voice from the Market, put on my computer, unzipped it with 7zip.
Took the res folder (drawable-hdpi), and replaced all the .png files with updated green/black themed ones from that above post.
This is where I get lost. I try to rezip the package, tried it with every kind of compression.
Everytime I go to install it on my phone, it tells me.....
Parse error
There is a problem parsing the package.
Anyone got some pointers?
OK buddy, 1st off, I am assuming by dark voice, you mean black background with white text. If that assumption is true, theres a lot more work to be done than editing images.
However, if you are in fact just trying to change images and are familiar with 7zip, the process is pretty easy. Especially since you already edited your images.
Lets do it this way, since your progression will yield the right results...
grab your completely stock voice that you have.. open it (NOT UNZIP) it with 7zip... find your way to the proper folder(s) and move your edited images into.. yes, while still zipped. Once thats done, close 7zip. it will ask you about updating the archive.. say yes... you're done.
And if you are in fact looking for the black backgrounds with white text.. grab my BNB theme and pull the Voice out if it. Its inverted.

Yeah, Dark themed Google Voice, like in the 1st post. The green one.
I havent thought about the TXT color... crap im not going to be able to read it after i update the PNGs......
One of your themes has a themed Google Voice? I might have to try that.....
Thanks for your help sir.
K, So I ended up pulling your Voice.apk from the BnB theme (which looks awesome btw... dunno how I missed that one)
I like it, but its just black and white. So I opened it with 7zip, go to res/drawable-hdpi and replace the file "widget_inbox_background.9.png"
That is the background for the widget.... only thing I care about..
I let it update the archive and save.
Copy the apk to my SD card and attempt to install it.
Everything looks great it appears to be installing then it gets to the end and says "Application not installed" done
I cannot get past this part..... am i doing something wrong?
bobhilton.... what color do you want it to be? Im willing to bet I can find the color you are looking for.
I mean the whole app, not just that background image. I can make that right in 5 minutes for you.

Really? wow that would rock. I'm just starting to learn this stuff. I've done so much reading and feel like i've came so far. but I'm finding out how much a pain in the arse these .9png files are....
The theme I'm looking for is the Dark greyish/ green one. Its in my first post of this thread. There is a screen shot here
http://www.mpmitchell.com/download/droidx/Apps/GVDA3.jpg
I like those colors.... not a fan of the font but i dont really care. I've tried everything. I found that .9png background widget image but I cannot insert it into your BnB theme
I would love if you could insert it if its not a big deal, you make it sound easy. I'm going on about 4 days of reading and about 10 different programs..... I must be missing something.....
Thanks for you help man.....

Yes, I did try flashing them with an update.zip it went with no errors but did not work. But I dont really know if I did it right..... this is a huge learning process for me.... If you can get these to work.... please tell me how.... and it better not take you 5 mins lol
Bob
ok I am downloading it now.. let me see what I can do.

why in the hell did I post a facebook widget?...lol wow.. just realized I did that. And you even told me I did.
Doesn't look all that fantastic with all the rest of my orange theme but.. speaking on the app, I believe this is what you wanted?

Awesome man! Geeez that was fast..... mind giving me a few quick pointers on how you did it?..... You must've used cheat codes or a game genie
Actually, I think you may have just been trying to install it wrong..lol I decompiled it thinking I was going to need to fix some 9pngs but the log said they were all ok. So I just stuck it in an update.zip and installed it..lol
I attached mine if you want to try it.
Wow, I don't get it....
It worked flawlessly.... looks perfect.... you rock man.....
So if you don't mind.... just help me understand this a little....
I went through your flashable zip (Voice.zip) and looked at everything.... It just pushed the apk (Voice.apk) to ssytem/app..... right?
K, so, the Voice.apk that is in your updatezip... system/app/voice.apk
how did you get this to work?
Is this your original inverted voice.apk? and then you just replaced the drawable-hdpi complete folder? or just the updated pngs? and thats it? Thats like the first thing i tried.... for like HOURS....
I just went through the apk.... looks like you just overwrote the pngs and 9pngs with the new gray/green ones.... man... you didnt have to mess with any xmls did you?
That just seems way to easy... I tried that like 10 times
Anyhow... thank you so much for your help man!
If the above is true, shouldn't I be able to do this same process with the new updated googlevoice from the market? and just update the pngs?
Don't know if I want to try it yet, but im really curious where I went wrong so it might be a good challenge...
I think I may of had a bad update.zip... I will try yours next with themed facebook
Theres an new GVoice? I guess I need to get to it.
For this, All I did was take Voice out of the BNB theme and opened it with 7zip. (NOT UNZIP)... then I opened (again, not unzip) you hdpi folder. I highlighted all the images and moved them all at once into the BNB hdpi folder. I then closed 7zip and yes to updating the archive. I stuck Voice.apk into a update.zip template and put it on the SD Card. I rebooted into recovery and installed the zip.
Ive never tried just sticking something in the system folder and hiting install. Not sure that would work.
Maybe just putting the apk in there, making sure the permissions are correct and then just rebooting would seem more like the solid option to me. I mean, technically, if its in your system folder it is installed.
Can someone tell me how I can make an APK so i can install fonts on my SGS2 and select them in the font app the came with the phone?
I do not want zips for flashing as I do not desire to change the system default font, but rather the option to add more choices.
I tried taking a look at some of the other font apks I have downloaded but have not been able to ascertain how they are made so that I can recreate.
I made a couple of own font .apks based on this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=745345
First time will take a while till you finish it and get it to work, but once you get the hang of it, you make own flipfonts like a machinegun
And flipfonts are the ones that appear under Settting - Display - Screen Display - Fontstyle? so I can change them around without the "hack" of overwritting Droid Sans and having to reboot?
Because I have the Fontomizer SP app installed which also comes with a slew of fonts which are installed like any regular app and they show up in "Font Style" and I can swap around without ever having to reboot. And thats what I want to do to with "my own" font APK's as well.
