A lodger ok well then the best I think you can do is learn how but honest you asked for like a week and have been told loads of times its just your settings ,so you should star there or go to stck rom sorry bro and changing anything if you know what your doing wont efect any outher device in the home

Thanks, is there not a dev that wouldn't mind giving it a go though please as I'm really not a clever as you guys when it comes to programming and cooking roms and all sorts... ? Also, I really wouldn't mind if the progress with helping me by building it was slow with you (or whichever dev helped) focussing more on your other rom project, and other commitments
It would really mean the world to me if one of you clever, cool devs could help me out please? Thanks

The only real difference between them is Onyx has LauncherPro built I'm cuz TouchWiz is removed....

Yes but if you took two minutes out of your obviously busy life to just read the op of both roms instead of being to lazy, people wouldn't have to take time out of theyre (obviously less important you) lives to explain it to you ,food for thought homie

Umm ive been flashing roms from TW from the start and i still couldnt really find a main difference between the 2...so before u go assuming i didnt look...all u had to do was state at least one difference...last time i checked when a person seeks help in a forum u dnt tell them go find it on their own...thats just my thought on good forum humanity.

The difference was literally in the op in like first few lines onyx is touchwiz free form of obsidian not really sure how you missed it.i would go on but then there would be a new question on the forum of you asking other people to read what I said and sum it up for you anyway no hard feelings I know im way to shallow to stay upset at someone I don't even know good day sir

What is this thing with people getting all cocky when someone asks a question?
A forum is just like any other conversation in Real Life: someone asks you a question and if you like to you answer it, you don´t like you don´t say anything or something like "sorry, don´t feel like answering!". But this whole attitude like "I´m too great to answer questions" sucks, man. No need to tell people how dump they are not finding everything out on their own. I encourage people looking for answers themselves but with threads easily over 400 pages long I definitely don´t see a problem in asking such a question here.
Well, just my opinion, though, not forcing anyone into behaving like that.

Hello guys,
I would like to know about continuing somebody's work that he/she has been discontinued developing. It is about an icons which the dev provided the template. He/she just made about 50 - 200 icons only then stop developing.
Now im going to continue for more icons since there's too many apps keep coming. Well, if i do this, and post it on xda with credits to real dev, is this gonna be wrong? I wanna share my work with xda members but Im scared if the dev going to screw my ass. Any advise would be higly appreciated.

if you have the email of the person who has made the icons then ask for permission first.if you know their xda nickname which of course you do then just send them a private message. if they reply that is good and then just give credits and links to their work.
depends if you open a thread up to you still put credits out and give links to the original work made by the dev/themer...but try the first bit though and if you do not hear anything i still go with the second and say you tried getting intouch but not heard anything and still give credit were credit is due and say that cause you like the work you felt it would be credit to the original dev only to continue the amazing work started by them...hope that helps

No problem my friend glad i was able to help. Always cover your back if you are going to release something. Best way really. Give credits were credits are due, give a link to the thread of the things that you are using and give the appropriate info and that should be it really. But anyway follow the stuff i told you above and you should be fine.

Because these days many people like to make RE-theme roms but post it on DEV sec.But no blamming them,they just got confused since its ROMS.So why dont some1 make RE-theme CWM backup & post it in here, where its belong...Me sure they would love to do it & will got many THANKS than TROLLING.
Themed ROMs are not allowed anymore. Use the damn search button to find a guide and don't open useless threads. Nobody's gonna do it for you.

Everybody has something that their good at.Some people is good for "Creating" & some people is good for "Decorating".For Creators, they got their place in Dev and we should respect that because they are willing to share their masterpiece without price naming.Some Decorators also want do the same.Unfortunately,they just got confused about HOW & WHERE.
The whole point of this useless thread is to suggest Decorators make in CWM/Xrecovery backup,not a roms if they want to share theirs.Nobody get hurts,Nobody get insults just stay out of DEVELOPERS way.
DEVELOPERS=make a good roms & improvement in every update
DECORATORS=make a good roms prettier with their own taste
The REQUEST just a kick start since nobody make it with WP7 Wannabe yet....

From what I have read to other threads, there are still many things needed to be fix on their ICS roms. Just want to ask for your opinions.
What is the best so far ICS rom that I can put on my device? Also want to know the instructions on how to do it. I'm really sorry for being so new to this. The last time I flash my device to GB is with a help of a friend and he's the one who almost done it all. I'm really hoping someone would help me, gave his/her opinion or even tries to answer my problem.

Thanks Sir Supermaster34! I am also reading about your thread! But also the sad part is about the camera issue. I really want to see my device on ICS but what I am thinking is the camera because of my girlfriend. Also bout the NBA 2k13 on android. I am really confused right now. Haha

I just thought this forum would be something like in my country, that some devs just posts instructions and when newbies like me asks for a help or clarification, they would just insist that all of the steps are already in their threads and we should just read it carefully. I am not pertaining to all but some of them are like that. They do not want some interactions or maybe their patience are not that long. I really like to thank you Sir and specially XDA! Well, I came for a widows mobile forum (Htc Diamond) where i was part of a team who build roms and from what i'm see here the ruls of this particulary forum are a bit different. I never know where is the right place to ask someting... to post something, to do anything at all.
When i need help with something normally i ask for it.
I need you people help me use this forum without breaking any rule. Please tell me where is the right place to ask for something!
