So after installing miui I noticed my sd card became corrupt. So I reinstalled to Dl09 and re rooted to cyanogenmod 7 test build 10. My phone began starting with the corrupt sd card error mesage in cwm regarding it cant mount cache.
"E:Can't mount /cach/recovery/command"
along with log and last_log.
I look to my sd card but no files or subfolder or folders are on it! I am stuck in a bootloop but can get to download mode. But I think my usb debugging isnt on because odin isn't recognizing my phone. Anyone been having this problem?
Thanks,
Scott

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1124391 should fix all your problems
A fix.
I am all too familiar with this error. Follow these instructions TO THE LETTER.
1. Download: mediafire.com/?6x5utoca59et7o9 (CWM ALL.tar v2.5 red [ODIN flashable]), minus.com/m3yQWm9wg/ (Stock Gingerbread ROM), View attachment cwm4_fixed_for_cm7-BWM.zip (put on your MicroSD card), mediafire.com/?429fcpdtpckkcea (Odin v1.83), and mediafire.com/?r2mi80911vgjjjz (Atlas 2.2 pitfile).
2. Put your phone into download mode and open Odin.
3. Check repartition in Odin.
4. Click PIT and select the Atlas pit file. Click PDA and select the stock ROM.
Click start. (it will take 5 minutes)
5. Boot the phone up, then shut it down.
6. Put it into download mode and open Odin again.
7. Select CWM-ALL.tar with the PDA button and click Start.
8. Three-finger into recovery.
9. Select "chooze zip from SD card" and navigate to cwm4_fixed_for_cm7- BWM.zip. Confirm install.
10. Power off, then install custom ROM of choice.
+++NOTE: When you install a rom, the errors will return if you three-finger into CWM. ALWAYS use the shutdown menu.+++
IMPORTANT: if you want to install Teamhacksung's ICS build PLEASE contact me and I will give you instructions! It is tricky to do and you will probably mess up. This method has NOT been tested with anything besides the above ROM.
P.S: If you're in a hurry, you might be able to flash CWM4 directly through Odin (google the filename for the .tar version), but I never tried this.

is there a place to learn about adb
i read i could push the disable voodoo folder i think its my last hope
ill make a custom boot animation to your specs if you can get this phone back up its my girls it just shut down on her at work it was running then pooop!
it would only make it to the dragon kernel splash screen.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYNUgYlg5IA&feature=fvsr
this is what i got
Have you tried Heimdall 1.1 It is like Odin and some eho have had this problem found this would work for them
If not maybe try this, but here is the basic way to do what you are asking
You will need the disable voodoo folder, if it is not on your internal sd card
First
1. Download update.zip if you do not have it on the internal sd-card
2. Place the update.zip in tools folder so you can push it into your phone by using adb command
3. Plug usb into the phone and your phone should be on the Android system recovery <2e>
4. Use your volume button to select reinstall package, don't press power button yet.
5. constant "adb push update.zip /sdcard" from computer , you will get permission denied.
6. While you are constantly pushing the adb command from computer. press the power button on the phone so it install update.zip from sdcard.
7. This is the part where it force adb push into sdcard without permission
8. once the update.zip install completed. unplug the usb cable from the phone and take the battery out.
9. put the battery back to the phone then press on both volume button.
10. While holding both volume button , plug in your usb cable and it will boot to download screen.
If you need use Odin to flash your phone to original stock rom.
If this gets you going cool but if you run into problems see below:
If you get black screen with only 4 light on the bottom after flashing from Odin.
Follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=728698
There should be T959-PDA.tar,T959-CSC.tar and T959-Phone.tar within the package.
Check "Re-Partition" , "Auto Reboot" and "F.Reset Time" check box. Use the PIT 0512 version. Use "PDA", "PHONE" and "CSC" from the link above.
After flashing with Odin, you will loose the download mode. repeat the first part and you are good to go.
Hope this helps
You can try this.
Download the android sdk
Extract to a place on your desktop
Call it android or something easy to type in.
Put a folder with the disable lagfix folder in it
In command type cd desktop/android/tools
Boot normally
Keep typing adb devices till your phone shows up
Once it does type in
Adb push (file name here)SPACE/sdcard
If it succeeds reboot and it should disable lagfix

I've had the dreaded Data Wiped error before... Well to fix this you might lose all your internal sd card data.
I almost positive this should work:
1. Go here:
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/15275-gt-i9000-cyanogenmod-7-we-love-bugs-version-20110205/
and download one of the i9000 .tar files, this will soft brick your phone but restore your data. Then you can odin back to stock here:
http://androidspin.com/2010/08/09/how-to-restore-or-recover-your-samsung-vibrant/
However, this has worked for me, I don't guarantee the results, but it seems you're already fu*cked so might as well.
If that doesn't work ODIN "Eugene's Froyo that doesn't brick" then when you're in recovery Odin using the link above...
EDIT: The .tar file you need is located in the initial package so you must download that... or you can find any other i9000 .tar file and try that... it should work.
Actually odin uvjfd with pit512 and requisition checked. you will be back to stock. see vibrant bricked under Q&A you will find detail how to restore.

Please guys, Im in BIG need of help..
Edit- I got Odin to work, Im going to see what happens next
If you can get into download mode and can use ODIN, why not just go back to stock and do everything over again?
Here is all you will need get these files
Eugenes froyo that does not brick
512 pit file
Stock JFD rom
Odin 1.70 or higher
Then follow this :
1. Download Eugenes 'Froyo that does not brick' file.
2. Extract the files.
3. Open Odin, plug in your phone, then put it into download mode.
4. load the PIT file in appropriate area.
5. load the .tar file in the PDA area.
6. DO NOT check 're-partition'.
7. Click start, let it finish. Your phone will load and reboot into stock recovery. It will error out again. DONT panic! This is what's supposed to happen.
8. Now, pull your battery.
9. Load the JFD rom for the vibrant'.
10. Extract the files.
11. Once again, open Odin, plug in your phone, put into download mode.
12. Load the PIT file into the appropriate area and the .tar in the PDA area.
13. THIS TIME you want to check the 're-partition' box.
14. Now click start, let it finish, and this time your phone will load up just fine!
15. Then, root the phone and you can flash your new Rom.
doing this method will get everything back to normal and the phone will work just like it did right out of the box
Hope you get it going
I had something similar happen, now I can get out of recovery mode (it says

You might need to odin using the "repartition" checked...
Hi guys, really need your help!!! Please don't ban, really desperate here"""
Been using Custom ROMs since Omnia HD. Loved the work of cookers, never had problems, ODIN is just so easy.
Four days ago, tried to flash I9100 from Lite'ning v5 to 6.1. So, as recommended I wiped cach with CWM, and then done proper FORMAT.
Once I pressed it, format started but didn't finish - the phone restarted, and continued to restart - stuck with boot "S" animation - so can't boot into system.
Then, tried as suggested to install VANILA latest firmware - tried it - didn't work. Keeps freezing in the middle of the process in ODIN - or - it says FAILED. Now, i can't use CWM - if I press Volume UP +HOME+POWER, i get "Mobile phone with yellow Triangle with PC signs" - left to the right.
Updating to the VANILA software doesn't work, so as Lite'ning V6, or any other versions of it. Without CWM, i can't boot from SD Card to other cooked roms, so please, any ideas will be MUCH APPRECIATED !!!

Thank you all for your help !!!!!!!
Problem solved thanks to HotlipsH - I flashed the firmware he suggested and it worked !!!!!!!!!!!!!
On another note, my USB port is malfunctioning - it only works if bent at a specific angle. In order to give the phone for repair as it's still less then 3 month old, I need to get rid of manual firmware update counter (currently at 4). Can someone recommend a method to bring it back under warranty?
I am with T-Mobile contract in the UK, London. Thank you all again very much !!!! Love this forum ;']
Try flashing a stock rom with Odin. As a second try stock rom with EXT4.pit file and Re-Partition option (You MUST have a pit file to use Re-Partition)
As long as the phone is detected in Odin your not bricked.
Why did you do a format??
Thank you guys for your advice.
First of all, I formatted the phone, so that there won't be any of the apps installed, since it felt slower, so I wanted to reinstall only the ones I actually use.
Secondly, I did try to flash stock ROM with ODIN (but I am not sure if it was the stock one, or just one of the latest VANILA). It does recognise the phone, but when I flash with stock, it either freezes in the middle (waited for over 20min), or finishes with "completed - success 0 - failed - 1", and then when I reboot, it is stuck on the screen ""Mobile phone with yellow Triangle with PC signs" - left to the right. "
Any idea?
Would you like to define proper format ?? and how .

What happened in a nutshell:
1) Via CWM, I wiped the cache (Dalvik and other - which are suggested by Lite'ning FAQ prior to upgrade).
2) Went to phones options and selected Format USB Storage (to get rid of all installed apps)
3) Once I clicked the Format in options, the phone restarted, and I could see Green Android figure with the white box - the screen stayed like is without changes for over 30min, so I restarted the phone.
4) Once the phone restarted, it stayed in Bootloop. It got to the "S" screen, and then restarts again to the same screen - over and over.
5) At this point, I could connect to Restore and Download Modes.
6) Then, I put it to Download Mode (Volume Down+Home+Power buttons), and and tried flashing to newest Lite'ning MOD V6 (from previously installed V5 prior to cache wipe and format) - no results - the phone screen stays in Download Mode and no progress details in ODIN (v1.85).
7) Tried flashing to Stock ROM, but I am not sure which one I tried, but it was the latest I could find - it had many files, I Googled and appropriately placed them (modem, pit, etc.) - as a result, phone screen remained on Download Mode screen with no changes, and on the PC (Win 7 x64) the ODIN recognised the phone (yellow square) and started the process but then froze mid-way - I waited fro 20min - nothing happened.
8) Disconnected USB cable, took out battery for 2min, and tried to flash other custom ROM from SD Card - but then, I couldn't log into recovery Mode any longer - by pressing Volume Up+Home+Power buttons, I only get "Mobile phone with yellow Triangle with PC signs" - left to the right. When I tried to reboot, then its the same screen. The Download Mode works though, and ODIN detect why phone.
I suspect that when I wiped cache with CWM, it deleted saved Stock ROM or kernels (no clue what it is), and now I am afraid to give to service since you can see in Download mode that the firmware was manually updated 4 times, so it voids manufactures warranty in the UK, at least.
Very worried, any ideas?
Dont think USB storage is the phone ??
Tried flashing to Stock ROM, but I am not sure which one I tried, but it was the latest I could find - it had many files
Stock rom is usually a single tar file .
Is recovery mode working ??
You can go to mounts and storage and format system data and sd card then flash stock rom single tar file via Odin .

If you can still enter Clockworkmod recovery I would suggest that you enter Mounts and Storage Menu: -mount USB storage and hook your phone up to the PC to see the state of your internal fat32 sdcard.
If you can see the sdcard (might be empty) at about 12GB total size you know your sdcard is OK and you might be able to drag ROM/Kernel files onto it through Windows and then apply update/install zip through CWM Recovery.
If the sdcard partition does not mount proper you might be able to format it as a fat32 device through Windows and then try flashing a STOCK ROM through Odin with or without Re-Partition (need ext4.pit for re-partition).
Use THIS guide to propper flash through Odin.
I dont know where in the world you are but if your European try THIS ROM, it's the stock MultiCSC XWKF3

I cannot get to CWM, so can't do the first part of your suggestion.
I am based in the UK and got the phone in London via T-Mobile contract. I will try to flash via ODIN once I ma back home from work - already forgot how to use my old good undestructable Nokia 6300.
Will try and update status
Make sure that the rom you're flashing is not corrupted (I mean files). Check hash of the files .
If you can get into download mode (volume down, home, power) when phone is turned off, flash with odin, if not you may need a jig to get you into download mode.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
If the SGS2 cannot go into download mode, using a usb jig won't do anything.
The only reason why one cannot go into download is because the boot loader is damaged. Once the boot loader is damaged, the usb jig is not going to rebuild it.
Anyways, he can go into boot loader (download mode), and he can boot into clockwork recovery. So his system partition is corrupted. He need to make sure KIES is not running, double check in TASK MANAGER. If KIES is not running, then double check the tar file to see if it is corrupted or incomplete.
Use 7-zip to extract the tar file, if it cannot be extracted, the download was not completed or the tar file is damaged.

First I’d like to thank everyone for all their work so far with the Verizon S4 rooting and modding. I wouldn’t be writing this if I didn’t have so much info online already. I’m standing on the shoulders of giants. Hehehe.
Here is what I ended up doing:
1) To start, download all these (ODIN, Recovery.pit File, VZWS4 root .zip, SafeStrap.apk, ME7 modules):
http://ge.tt/3ywGajs?c
2) And Stock S4 recovery .tar.MD5 here (if you need to reflash back to stock, or to unbrick)
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B8owp4iT4wQnUFdVaGp4czFmWUE&usp=sharing
3) Install Android Terminal Emulator on your phone:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jackpal.androidterm&hl=en
4) Format your SD card to exFAT using your computer.
5) Extract the RootForVZWS4.zip to your SDcard (DO NOT put it in any other folders, it must be extracted on the SD top level). Then put the SDcard back into the phone.
6) Enable Developer Mode on your phone.
7) Check USB debugging in Developer Options.
8) Allow Unknown Sources under Security.
9) Open terminal emulator and type exactly what is shown:
cd /mnt/extSdCard <-Note: there is a space after cd
./pwn
./script.sh
If you’re like me, even though you may see “Permission Denied” in a few lines, your phone is rooted. This is OK. You're rooted when you see the " $ " turn into a " # "
10) Install SafeStrap.apk from your SDcard to get the bootloader.
11) Run SafeStrap from your Apps Drawer, then choose Install Recovery (this will allow you to boot up and enter SafeStrap where you can back up your stock ROM, and install custom ROMs from your SDcard).
12) Restart and you should see a new Boot Screen – hit menu to enter Recovery
13) Backup your phone! Save to SD card!
14) Add custom ROMs to your SDcard and flash them with SafeStrap
15) Flash ME7 modules.zip
16) Wipe cache and dalvik
17) Fix permissions
18) Reboot and enjoy
*****If you brick your phone, or want to go back to stock*****
1) Enter/boot to ODIN mode (phone NOT connected to computer).
2) Plug your phone into your computer.
3) Open ODINv3.07.
4) Make sure ODIN finds your phone (Top left box will be blue with your phone ID).
5) Click the big PIT button, and find the “SCH-I545.pit” file you downloaded earlier to your computer.
6) Click the big PDA button, and find the .tar.md5 file you downloaded earlier to your computer.
7) When ODIN has finished checking the files, hit START. Wait a long time, then when your phone reboots, and the program says PASS in green, you’re back to stock.
Please let me know if any links don’t work. Hopefully you all can follow this long post.

To flash back to stock....
Click the big "PIT" button, and browse for the "SCH-I545.pit" file
Click the big "PDA" button, and browse for the "COMBINATION.....tar.md5" file
ODIN will think for a minute.... then when the message reads <OSM> Leave CS... hit start
I should probably add that this ODIN flash will remove ROOT and SafeStrap too. The phone will be back to complete 100% Samsung/Verizon stock.
In SafeStrap, I've also wiped the Stock Rom slot, and installed Scotts Clean Rom there.... and it worked (Clean Rom v.1.6.0, Clean Rom Patch v.1.6.5, ME7-modules, Fix Permissions, wipe cache/dalvik)
I want to go back to stock rom. So I downloaded a zip file of the firmware.
Please give me the detailed steps to flash the rom without bricking it. My externel sdcard is unable to mount in CWM.
Any kind of help will be much appreciated.
thank you.
First download and install odin from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1738841
1. If it is in zip extract it using 7zip,winrar.....
2. Open Odin3 (Run As Administrator).
3.Shut down your phone than put your device in download mode. To do so, press Vol-Down And Home And Power Button all together and when it vibrates release Power (It might not work in first time,so try it three four time before posting again)
Button. You should have a triangle with an android janitor while it's saying downloading.
4. You should see a blue rectangle with COM:xx and saying Added. It means that your device is ready to be flashed!
5. Go into the PDA section and select your .tar file.
6. Dont check any option (F.reset time and Auto reboot are checked by default if not than check them).
7. Now click Start.
8. When it's finished, it should say that it's done with a green box and your device should reboot by itself
Good luck:good:
Thanks for your concern but i don't have the .tar file so i'm unable to flash it via ODIN. Can you give me the instruction to flash .zip file through CWM recovery. And what should i do if my external sd is unable to mount?

To flash through CWM you dont need external SD card. You can just copy the file in to Internal SD and flash it.
And for installing stock firmware, you cant just simply do it via CWM, you have to go for Odin only.
For this you need to download your original firmware from sammobile or in xda forums you can find it. Take a research, the above post will help.
