Solution for cleaning screen? - HTC EVO 3D

My screen feels a little sticky and cleaning it with a microfiber cloth isn't helping. Is there some type of solution I can use or buy?

Use a moist napkin or paper towel wipe your screen. Dry it then use a microfiber to clean. Then stop picking your nose before you touch your phone

Rub a little baby powder on your hands it will help keep your screen from getting greasy it will also make it feel super slick.

There are also many LCD screen cleaners for TV's and such. They work great for the phone. Just don't spray it into the speaker and you are good. I then wipe it with a microfiber. Works great!

Can you recommend a particular one?

I have this solution that came with my glasses plus a wiping cloth. Any type of fluid for wiping down any particular screen (glass) would work wonders.
Like the above said, watch out to not to get the solution inside any holes and focus on the glass.

i just use a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol.. Not sure how good it is for the GG but hey it works well..

I use eye glasses cleaner works great the also have disposable ones kinda like wet wipes

I have a spray bottle filled with 50/50 rubbing alcohol and distilled water. I use that for all my screens (phone, lcd, plasma, crt). Very cheap and works great.

I've been wondering the same thing myself I've been using duster to get most of it at

I've been using Cyber Clean, works well.
I'm too new to post a link but you can go to CyberClean dot tv for more info.
Use the corner of a piece of paper. I find that sticky notes work rather well, as they are just stiff and thick enough to get the job done. (I know, I know, that's what she said!)

How to revitalize a smudgy screen?

Ok so I remember when I first got my 3d I loved the fact that the screen was basically smudge proof. The glass felt like ice and didn't really show fingerprints. Since then, my screen is often a smudgy mess and even wiping it on my shirt or whatever doesn't help much. Does anyone know of a way to like revitalize the slickness that it used to have? I remember something about people using rain-x to do this I think but I don't really remember any details... Any advice would be awesome.

Well the windex will clean it obviously, but I can't imagine it'd leave it with a coating of any sort that repels fingerprints.

I dunno about coating the glass . Might cause some funky issues till u cleaned the coat off never put anything on mine. I use a zagg keeps the prints smudge down looks fantastic no issues.
Hope u find somethin .

I clean mine with one of those little alcohol wipes now and then. Smudge free and looks good for a while. I think all the oils etc off your fingers build up a layer on there after a while.

Alcohol does leave a nice feeling behind clean and sterile should keep prints off to for awhile...
I just put a zagg on mine awhile back cause I am always outside doing something work wise... Didn't wanna mess the glass up finger prints drove me bonkers..
Buy an ASUS transformer prime. Throw the tablet away and use the cloth that comes with it. Works like a charm for anything and everything. Geez, though, the people around were making a fuss about how I threw some metal block away. Its only five hundred dollars, geez come on...

Comment of the day lol
I am a greasy bastard myself and have the same problem. The smudge problem has caused me to be an avid hand washer due to this. Like others have said though. The Zagg screen protector does a fantastic job of keeping smudge stains down
I use oakley lens cleaner works wonders
its hard living in a blood red world
I use one of those micro-fiber cloths (with no cleaning fluid) on mine. Works like a charm.
I change oil for a living so this problem is an everyday thing for me, if you don't have any type of screen protector on it... There r a ton of lil tricks, the results are widely spread out,
I've heard of using "powder foundation" (make-up) to lightly "dust" it and wipe it clean and it should help out( sorta worked for me, but was a lot of work for a lil bit of a fix....
The alcohol wipes seem to work the best for me tho...

Screen residue

I have found a residue about the size of a quarter on the bottom right side of my screen. I have tried removing it without success does anyone have any ideas on what this could be and the best way to remove it? This isn't a screen protector glue it literally appeared out of no where and creates a ruffness to the screen but it has no signs of scratches anywhere on there.

Have you tried using a rubbing alcohol or lense cleaning wipe? Did you put your phone near anything that may have spilled on it or left of unattended near untrustworthy folk?

Yes I tried rubbing alcohol and no and no

is it melted,? sounds stuiped I know. but my wife left a curling iron by her phone....
Try Goo Gone
Have you tried acetone? I'm not sure it'd be safe to use on the phone but you might try a q-tip on a small patch to see if it makes a difference? I find acetone usually works in times when alcohol doesnt. Just be careful.
I think I will take it in to the att store today Ans see I'd they can help at all.

When I need to remove residue - such as from tape or stickers, either denatured alcohol or paint thinner will work. Where one doesn't work, the other will. Forget rubbing alcohol, most of that stuff is heavily watered down, usually by 25%.
Here's a tip, not phone related. Ever get gasoline on your hands and notice that washing with soap and water won't make the smell go away? Use a little paint thinner first, rub it all over your hands. Then use soap and water. There won't be a trace of odor left.
No offense, but the last thing you should be doing, is using chemicals of any kind. The phone has a warranty, so let AT&T handle it. The last thing you want, is chemical damage on your Note.

Cleaning the phone

Morning all. Ive been on vacation at the beach and sand has worked its stupid ass all into the screen bezel. Has anyone used any specifc tools to clean dist and lint built up in the phones smaller crevasses
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
I've always made due with compressed air. Cyber Clean is pretty neat if you want to get into those hard-to-reach areas.
I'm kind of compulsive about keeping stuff clean, so I usually use those methods, and I often apply hand sanitizer to the screen and back cover for good measure.
If you've got the sand in some very hard to reach area, shaking the phone gently with the compressed air aimed at it might help.

q-tips and canned air.
I use the corner of a sticky note. The adhesive helps grab some of the dirt.
