HTC Notes question. - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

How do I pull up saved notes with the notes app? I am in the middle of a training class so I cant really search atm.

If you are in a particular note, and hit the "back" capacitive button, it should send you back to a view which shows all your saved notes.

Thanks.

Would you recomend the evo 3d ?

I am starting sprint service an i am wondering what phone i should get i have already had the evo an epic an i liked the evo more besides the screen
Now with all the problems with the evo 3d should i get it or maybe the nesux because i didnt really care about 3d its just a battery drannner
So what do you all think?
you will prob get hw003.. if we are to ref the evo 4g .. hw003 had most bugs worked out.
and yes. i would recommend it. i am not looking back at my evo4g one bit. love this phone.
Thanks i really love the feel an look of this phone i just want to make sure its not a over advertised cheap device but i plan on gettin it around the 4th of next month i was wanting to wait a couple of shippments to make sure i get a device that has no problems i loved my evo and i hope to love this phone just as much
once you go Evo you never go back!lol.naw but on a serious note this phone is just like OG evo bigger cooler brother with a few trricks up his sleeve.
The 3d is better than the HERO.
IF you do get it, get a pair of $ .99 reading glasses.
The preceding is the reason that companies "BUY" engineering: so they have products which are downgraded (dpi/pixels p i ?) and features which are legacy to the original specs (1024 dpi).
BTW if the ceo of htc uses the evo 3d for email: .... I hope he has reading glasses. LMFAO #shortsighted
Why do u need reading glasses
Pull the trigger on the Evo 3D worth the updgrade from the 4G, it's faster and Sense runs great. I agree the whole 3D thing is a fad and almost useless on this phone but after seeing it the geek in me was impressed...I've had it for less than 24 hours but I am already used to the higher resolution....so far no problems.
i would reccomend it
Yes.

3vo. That is all that needs be said.
I would highly recommended it. Best phone I've owned. Top notch !

Haha what? Reading glasses? I think you are alone with that thought... The EVO 3D has of of the best screen resolutions of all phones out there. Definitely recommended. Also it will have some of the best developer support here at xda if you ever want to go the customizing route.

Yesssssssss
Yes, I would recommend it's amazing.
Yeah, definitely the evo 3d. Run smooth as butter and 3d is amazing, no eyestrain here as long as the content was well made (looking at you, Spidey...) The Green Hornet looks flawless in 3D

Yes! Get it! EVO 3D!

Hi 'leggs,' here's why. The default font size, especially in messaging and mail, is just too small for all but 'young eyes!' Sprint forgot many of us paid premium dollar for a large screen with LARGE print (fonts) and icons. There is no font adjustment anywhere on the phone. Nore any app in the Market. I spoke with Sprint 2nd tier tech support and they said there is no cure. I have a new EVO 3D and I'm taking it back mainly for this reason. Eye strain sucks. I want my 4G back.........with Gingerbread. Others may love this phone, but mine is buggy......it freezes often, the camera acquired a green tint, and several navigational arrows in texting and url writing are simply gone. I think the 4G came 'out of the box' on its' first day as a much more usable device.

Absolutely love this phone. Even if u don't use 3D this thing is polished.
Phone is phenomenal! Even the 3D is a blast and way better than I thought it would be. You get used to the viewing angles quick, and if you are constantly under the influence of substances, the 3D is 10x better. Just watch Green Hornet high as a kite, then afterwards, envy the speed of the phone in general. I love this handset!
Highly recommended

Yeah, what Paw Paw said! Although I can deal with the smaller font caused by the higher resolution, I do appreciate the issue since my own vision has always been poor. I've been wearing glasses since I was four and trying to focus on something you can't see well is a pain. I wish we had font control. That and root access would make this the perfect phone.
In the UK it's really this or Sensation in HTC terms and in 3D terms the LG Optimistic 3D & is it better than both of them?

Fresco drawing app

Hi I have been following a great little drawing program called Fresco. Currently it does not support scribe pen but the developer is waiting on HTC SDK for the scribe pen. As soon as HTC releases the SDK I am hoping the developer will implement the pen to the program. On its own merit the program is quite robust with many options not available on other drawing apps yet. Thought those artist who bought the HTC in hopes of using it as a sketch pad could find this interesting.

Looks nice indeed, lets hope HTC releases the SDK soon. Or they lose any momentum they still.have left.

Thanks for this recommendation. As a artist myself, this is wat I was lookin for. Definitely hope the pen gets used for the app cause I will take full advantage of it

Yes, the dev seems very responsive about supporting the Flyer. I asked him a couple of weeks ago about supporting the pen, and he promptly signed up to the notify list for the SDK.
Now if HTC would just hurry up and release the dang thing so we can get some proper drawing apps! I have also sent email to the devs of Sketchbook pro, and hopefully there is enough demand for them to support the pen as well.
Fresco is a great start for a drawing app though, and it's super fast.
Hi, I've the developer of the app. I've contacted HTC a few ways and can't get any date on when the SDK is coming out. I've tried asking for early access too but I didn't get anywhere. Are there any unofficial ways to enable pen support? I thought I might find some hacks on some of the forums here but I didn't find anything.
I bought the Flyer for one reason only and that is to take of advantage of its pressure sensitivity pen. But to my amazement there is no app out there that utilize in its capability. I mean I can take notes with the capacitive stylus, but I think the Flyer should have come out with a drawing app to capitalize on their pressure sensitivity pen. I hope Fresco drawing app will support it soon.
Open sense sdk just released

[Q] Using Flyer to take notes.

Hey guys, looking for advice on this tablet.
I was planing on getting a tablet to view class notes and take notes on.
I know that the pen is very accurate but I'm a little worried about the screen size, I've had a Galaxy Tab 7inch and i think that it would be a little small for taking notes.
And the other thing is the processor, I've had some issues on loading big pdf files on my Xoom tabletm how will this one fare with it?
Any advice would be great!!!
It's great for taking notes! 7" inches is a fine size.
What I like about it is, that it has a black edge around the corners, so you can hold it without touching the screen

Do you used it for school? I mainly do math so writing recognition doesn't matter at all to me.
Can you take notes on PDFs?
Sent from Samsung Galaxy S2 on TELUS.
You can use PDF viewer application for editing and saving notes in PDF format.
If you want to make long notes, the best way to do it is making blank word document (doc file) about ten pages with just typing enter. You can make it with Microsoft Word or Quick Office. And then you can start making notes with that document in Polaris Office. Polaris for Flyer cannot make new document, but works very good with magic pen, so you can get the most benefit from that.
If you don't want feel little bit laggy when scribing notes, you can flash your Flyer with Flyhigh custom ROM, which gives you extra speed, and make writing with magic pen just like writing with wacom tablet.

Thanks! That's a very helpful tip!
Thanks for the advice, I'm pretty much sold on this tablet now, just need to find someone selling one now lol.

What do you use the pen for?

So, I got to play with this at best buy and I must admit, if I had 300$ to spend I might have left 300$ there at best buy and walked out with it.
This tablet was the most fun I've ever had playing on a tablet. I wasn't impressed by ipad, the galaxy s tab was cool, but not really "eye catching" in terms of being worth the price..
This sucker was smooth though.. it ran really, really smoothly. It was probably one of the coolest things I've seen.
The weird part is that I really had trouble finding a logical use for the pen. It is always nice to get more for what your purchase, but I am having trouble finding practical uses for it. I am sure if I got one I would think of more uses after the fact.
A few times I've used it to take notes. But mostly, I use it to show my friends how much better my tablet is compared to theirs. I think the latter is what HTC was going for.
I use it to quickly mark up power points and presentation notes when I do reviews at work.
So far I haven't found a use for it. Taking notes on the tablet does not appeal to me nor does drawing on screenshots.
I use it whenever I need a paper to write something on. Paperless for me. Only print it out when I really need it. Environmental friendly as well
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
I use it to takes notes in my classes. I find the notes mobile app much easier to take notes with compared to the HTC notes app. Plus with honeycomb you can use the pen all throughout the tablet as apposed to only taking screenshots on gingerbread

I use it @ work (IT) for taking notes, since we are trying to go "green" in the office, it's my "see here ya go I'm going green"...and hopefully this means that work will reimburse me for it.
I never even thought about the possibilities involving roms.
Could be loads of fun.
Hm... wonder if ICS will have anything special for pen based tabs...
I design and manufacture parts for the auto racing industry.
I use the Flyers camera to take a photo of the area I’m working on then, note the dimension on the pic with the pen.
If need be I can take several shots from different angles.
I then return to my workstation’s cad program and I have all my info at hand.
It really helps me to visualize the part I’m working on.
For making a usable quick sketch and markups. I was surprised how much I started to markup screen shots of Web pages once I got used to the idea.

I got the pen just because it was on sale for 39.99 and I had a 10 dollar reward certificate. I'm not really sure how much I'll use it but hope with the upgrade it'll be more useful.

Make notes when reading eBooks.
Take a picture of office maps (fire routes work great) then mark them up for new network drops and whatnot.
I've started using it in place of anything I'd have used a paper notepad for. Extra cool that the notes are ocr'd and searchable.
Maybe one day I'll get around to drawing up plot diagrams, creating story arcs, and writing a book... Too busy for that right now though.
I use it to take notes. My daughter uses it for notes and to annotate her books for her English class using the reader that came installed on the flyer.
Everything. I am a recruiter for a consulting firm and take notes on my conversations with candidates - been using evernote for a few years so its a virtual database of people now. Also in grad school and use it to mark up powerpoints and sometimes record audio or the cam to capture diagrams on whiteboards. Used it at a family get together to find a pizza place with Google maps, pull up the menu, and write down (on the menu screenshot) our complete order - easily placed the correct orders and people were like "that is awesome". A life saving feature is accessing my home machine via logmein as well. I love this thing.

Same here. I've heard a lot of good things were going to open up with the HC upgrade. I hope I'm not disappointed.

I use it for my business and for note reason when I go on the road to sale insurance. I bring the terms and all up and underline the keypoints.

[Q] Question about GB for evo view 4g owners

I wanted a flyer/view for the scribe and pdf annotation abilities. I recently ordered a view off ebay because it was cheaper than the flyer (missed the $240 deal though). I'm not too concerned about when I'll get Honeycomb.
I was convinced to make the purchase after trying a flyer at best buy because the 11/14/2011 Flyer update thread indicated that Google video chat/talk and a smaller pen size in the PDF viewer were features of the update.
Now after some searching, I realize that these features may not have made it to the evo view. The last view update from June indicates that google video chat was disabled.
Can anyone confirm if the evo view pdf editor has the same pen sizes as the Flyer and if google video chat will work with the front camera?
if not, I'll probably return it and get the flyer.
Thank you. Sorry to take yall away from the HC hype.
